REPALY you both will love. US River cruises. Heat is awful in south end. So Spring or Late Fall for. Mississippi cruise. Emma maybe you and your family could do a fall Great Lakes and then hop. On southbound Mississippi pricey to do both for you but may be worth one airfare
Emma, I know this streamed a year ago, but you are such a DELIGHT to watch in this one! You were like an *excited school girl* (an Americanism?) in this video. Obviously, you are very comfortable w Gary and the chemistry is palpable! Here’s to 🍷 recapturing this exuberance in Life !
Just a delight to see you together as your strengths complement each other! You both fill a large niche about cruising! Your passion and love for cruising shows! What a joy to spend this time with you both, learning so much about cruising and having a few laughs at the same time!
I’ve been watching both of you for years now and appreciated your comment about making comments. Awesome. My folks adore Gary, and I just introduced them to you, Emma, so here’s hoping!
Just now found this! Getting ready for another cruise and have been watching a lot of clips from both of you. You two are my favorite cruise video producers so it is quite a treat to see you both together in the same video! Love it!
Couldnt comment on the live as I was watching it on the tv. But it was awesome to see both you and Gary life-size as it were. Thank you both for making my sewing project go quicker. Loved watching. 💕
I love both. I'm subscribed to both. I'm an ex-crew on Princess and I fell in love with cruising. I had a cruise cancelled due to pandemic. I'm looking forward to cruising more.
Watching this a year later. My 2 favourite channel talkers. This worked much better than the one where you joined Gary on his channel as he tended to talk over you (he gets so enthusiastic)! On here you listened to each other although your enthusiasm for cruising was palpable (&catching) !
To Viewer Christy Murphy’s question, the smaller Royal Caribbean ships are the four remaining Vision Class ships. One of them, Rhapsody of the Seas, is sailing a transatlantic, from Miami to Rome, next May 10th. I just booked it partly because the ship is beautiful, and looks like a traditional cruise ship. Unlike the larger ships, it doesn’t have the amusement park, but does have a enclosed Solarium and the videos on RUclips look amazing! Thank you Emma and Gary for a great video.
15:43 Viking Venus DOES do a British menu as part of their destination menu in The Restaurant. (Just disembarked from their British Isles Cruise 2 wks ago.) It was also at Chef's Table on days 1-3 as we embarked in London (Tilbury). They rotate menus every 3 days.
Fully vaccinated on Carnival Pride on 19 September. They require a 2 day or sooner antigen test. I follow Tony and Jen and he said stay on top of the cruise line because things in the US change so rapidly.
I joined the livestream about 22 minutes late so I started the replay to see what I'd missed. I ended up watching the whole thing. You and Gary are so interesting together because of your different preferences and perspectives.
The two cruise sites I trust the most. I'm mostly watching your sites for the river cruise info as that is more appealing to me than a giant cruise ship, but the info you guys provide is wonderful.
Emma and Gary!!! I don’t know why but a few months ago you both popped up in my RUclips feed. Now I’ve booked a transatlantic crossing to Spain this spring and I think it’s because of you both!
Hello from Australia. Really looking forward to getting back on the Majestic Princess in a fortnight’s time. It will be the beginning of my 62 night 6 b2b2b2b2b2b that will finish on the 21st December. Finally my cruise draught will be over.
I'm with Gary on picking my room. I have a dreadful time sleeping AND I'm always hot so I'm an inside cabin girl and I like to pick location based on who I'm traveling with.

Enjoyed this chat greatly and appreciated the blending of the different approaches to cruising by both of you in the discussion. I actually discovered Emma's channel through watching Gary's initially and getting a recommendation for yours. Glad to see the two of you come full circle so to speak. I would like to know more about German cruises having lived in Berlin for a while, but my German friends are staunchly against cruising! We enjoy sailing together and that is quite nice I must admit. They think I'm crazy for enjoying cruises so much. I can enjoy both 😊
Hi Emma. My husband and I have done many cruises mostly Carnival and Celebrity. We are very easy to please but our least favorite was Costa. We were really surprised that we found the quality to be less than compared to the others. Biggest differences are that the buffet was only open for a short time and if you missed it you were stuck paying for food. Also, we were really surprised that we had to pay for regular water on the cruise ship. We now understand why so many of the people at the cruise port were bringing cases of water on. We loved the itinerary but that Costa cruise was a lesson to us that NOT all cruise companies are the same. It was a relief to hear that Carnival has bought Costa...maybe we may consider it again if there were changes.
Wicked! You’re two of my ‘Fab Four’ of cruise bloggers, the other two being Don and Tony - you complement each other perfectly. I definitely agree about Alaska for a first cruise - we did it twice with HAL. Great vlog, thanks.
The American Steamship Company does River cruises. I went on one down the Mississippi river (from Memphis to New Orleans). It was lovely. The food was out of this world. This company now does river cruises in the NW USA (Washington state). Price is a lot higher than ocean cruises, but it's a lovely change. I think it held less than 400 people.
I enjoy you both - even though I am not a cruiser and I am not even all that eager to go one one (at least not anytime soon). But I am down the rabbit hole and I watch all your content. Thanks!
Emma and Gary, I don't know if you will see this as it's 6 hrs after the broadcast, but if you want to find out about the Disney ships, then look at the Harr Travel videos. He does a great walkthrough on many ships
Hi Emma, I really enjoy your videos! Our next cruise is a Christmas Enchanted Princess cruise rescheduled due to pandemic. I have been on many cruises but I am never really excited about Princess dinner menus. They don't seem to have changed in 20 plus years. What do you know about frequency of new menus? Holland America has fabulous menus, but I've only been on them twice. Celebrity has very good options but I haven't been on one for 10 plus years. Also-Is Celebrity still more catered to seniors? I have lots of other questions but I'll ask another time.
Looking foward to see you both onboard of the lovely VALIANT LADY next year right! Emma you are so full of life and joy! And Gary, mate, you know business! See you both at the bar for a good Cup of tini! God bless you both.
I'm convinced that a cruise can't be ruined by a problem with the cabin. It's RUINED by choosing to spend the entire time being angry. Fix what you can and accept what you can't. If you MUST be angry leave it till after your trip is over but if you accept it, it might just be a funny little horror story you tell at a cocktail party as an aside to discussing your otherwise amazing trip.
Question have you noticed that cruises booked 2 or 3 years ago and cancelled then rebooked.... And cancelled again, you are no longer getting the same bang for back you first booked. Prices have risen hugely.
You two are my fave of all of youtube for cruising! much love to you.We take our 1st in August! thanks to both of you we are much better prepared for our Alaska Dawes with Celebrity :D

Thank you for mentioning color of COVID-19 country/regions. That is an important thing to check before you cruise. We booked a west coast US but Encinada is deep red and Santa Barbara cancelled. The 2 day pretest just started I just gave up and cancelled. They gave us future cruise credit Hope we can get this to a safer place here in US. I need to cruise 😳
Hi Emma, I'm due to go on Disney later this month from the Uk, we are both double jabbed, little bit confused as I thought the testing was done at the port. The check-in process is very different to other lines we have cruised with during this time. It asked us to upload vaccine status and order tests, which cost lots, I don't think I need to order these, any ideas, due to sail end of Spetember.
Hey Gavin, only the children have to do PCR tests at home before the cruise (so maybe that's what you're seeing). For adults, you do a test at the port that doesn't have to be ordered :-)
