The nurse has the following responsibility of care immediately following a femoral cardiac catheterization procedure
A Ensure the patient is at bed rest for 4 hours
B Keep the patient nil per mouth
C Remove the pressure bandage after 4 hours
D Ensure the patient has signed a consent form
Dont tell that the tube WILL be removed when awake. Sometimes it stays in until they are stable.
I had a 5 way bypass on the pump with lung machine. I had a total of 12 tubes machines etc the first 48 hours. I had a 100% dedicated specialist nurse 1 on 1. My vitals came back strong and fast, as a result they took the breathing tube followed by lung drains out which was not that painful. But they kept me knocked out. Point is try not to freak out when you wake up I had to make myself go to a deep calm state in doing so the fear did not cause more problems. These people are pros let the, do what they do
I can say as a person who has recently been through triple bypass surgery, is one thing I did not need were the unpleasantries between me and my sisters, over the miscellaneous nagging about stuff. The level of stress I went through, because of my sisters giving me a hard time over this and that, was not healthy for me!! When one of my sisters wigs out because I have to have the mashed potatoes with the 340mg sodium, was unhealthy mental stress for me! Being yelled at for walking out to the mailbox to grab the mail; too much unhealthy mental stress! lf you are a woman who's brother has been through triple bypass, you can be loving and caring without hovering over your brother policing him all the time!! Your brother is a grown adult, so you cannot always stop him from sometimes making unwise choices! SOMETIMES YOU HAVE TO BACK OFF A LITTLE BIT, so as to give your brother the personal space he needs! I would step outdoors for a short walk; one of my sisters would hop in her car and follow after me! And you don't need to crank up the YOU CAN'T/YOU CAN'T all the time like your poor brother is a prisoner!! This is the way I came to feel. I began to feel like I was a prisoner in my own home!! None of us need to address our brother with "YOU NEVER LISTEN!!" That is a plain nasty condescending exaggeration!! Your brother always listens when he likes what you have to say! What you mean is " sometimes I wish you would hear me when I say something for your own good!" How about this; sometimes your brother would like a little personal space!
What do you mean by tripple bypass surgery? Did you go through bypass surgery three times?
@@engineerdr he means they bypassed three arteries in one operation.

My spouse can shave me. Also will insist on wearing the new dignity product invented by a doctor at Mayo and his wife. Patients need to stand up for their rights. Also no opposite gender cna or nurse will bath me. My spouse will do that too.
