I love how the guy says it all calm and shit, if that was real life he would have been like "DON'T CUT OHH FUCK LEFT I MEAN, DON' CU. 40 OVERPR DAMMIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"
Nah, Rally co-drivers are always calm, I forgot who won it, but someone won a rally race with the hood of the car blocking the windshield because it flew open and got stuck there, the driver trusted his co-driver and pretty much did extremely well for not being able to see.
Gisselo Hacker Keep at it man, it's all about getting to know the stages, and messing around with setups. If you want any help with the latter feel feel to get in touch on twitter. :)
Sorry for the weirdness at the end, the leaderboard didn't want to load for a second there and since I'm new to RUclips my editing skills are lacking. :D If anyone needs help with setups or anything, get in touch on here or Twitter ( @BeatenDownBrian ) and thanks for watching! :)
Haha stick with it man, 80% of it, is getting to know the stages, with the other 20% being a decent setup. If you ever want help with the latter, just give me a shout on Twitter (@BeatenDownBrian) preferably as it's easier to show pics etc. there. :)
believe me, I know How rally drivers drive..but 90% of the jumps in this video wold kick out and distroy the car imediatly...But I love racing games as well..but I only trust in RBR..You can´t jump like that in RBR
Yeah those are great for sure, but I'd love to see them implement a system similar to Forza's where you could upload and share tunes from in game, as long as they don't leave them locked like Forza does, as I think it would be a good way for people to learn how to tune a bit better. Also if you ever want a hand feel free to hit me if and I will help if I can. :)
WTF! This sector at 1:30 - 1:33. I always lose some time on this curve. Has rocks inside a weird crest and trees ans posts oustside the curve. And you just did a insane jump over the rocks. That's "UMBELIVIBRU!!!".
Carlos Ferreira Lol, sorry I missed this until now. Yeah that corner can suck, you basically want to aim your inside wheel at the first rock and be in 6th gear. You will be jumping it in no time. :)
Awesome drive man! Just got a wheel (G25) and set up is holding me back so much now and I'm not sure how I improve the stability to give the confidence of maintaining 6th gear haha. Any setup tips for different surfaces??
If you are on Twitter shoot me a DM (@BeatenDownBrian) and I will run through setups with you if you like (easier to show pics on twitter), if not just get back to me on here and I will try to help you out. :)
Nice driving! It would be cool to see it from the external view perspective too, sometimes the replays can look even better than you thought when you're actually driving haha
Hey sorry I missed this until now and thanks for the feedback. I've seen a few people asking for this, so I will keep it in mind for the future. I think I actually have the replay of this one saved but I would have to double check. If I still have it I will post it as soon as I get a chance :)
What kind of settings are you using? This really looks too easy. When I land a jump with default car setup car rear end just bounces off the road and I fly into the trees.
i cant even finish a championship without breaking 4 controllers and raging about 5 times per race, holy shit this game is so stressfull, yet you make it look like a walk in the park
Haha, I lol'ed. Thank you though, very kind. :) Stick with it though, getting to know the stages is half the battle. If you ever want help with setups or just with the game in general, feel free to get in touch on twitter and I will help where I can.
It's funny, every time someone uploads a video of a fast lap in a racing game, people starts asking about the setups, as if that would be the main reason for the fast time, when it's always primarely the drivers skills that should be recognized.
"Maybe" is used in rallying for when your approach speed may change the notes slightly, for instance: If a pace note reads "flat right" that would mean this is a flatout right, but if the note read "flat right, maybe" that would mean this should be a flatout right, but depending on your approach speed you might need to lift. If the pace note reads "over crest, jump maybe" that simply means you are approaching a crest, with the possibility of a jump depending on your speed. If it's easier think of it as another word for "caution"
My record is 5,124,095,576,030:25:48.376. I wish it could handle larger numbers because the numerical limits came accross before I could reach finish... :(
How come they didn't even slide and able to make to gear 6 with those insane speed?!! whilst I can't even take a corner at 4th gear and not even at 80 kmph slide, crash and roll all over every canyon that available? What sorcery did they use?!!
Short answer; time. He's probably spent a lot of time practicing so much that he knows the track by heart, and also spent a lot of time fine tuning the car and also getting to know how the car handles. When I first played the game I was happy if I could even finish a race, but I gradually got better and now I occasionally win a race.
I'm not knocking the achievement but your turns lacked a certain fluidity and precision. You kinda relied on memorizing the track and bombing the jumps rather than approaching it with elegance and efficiency.
My record on this is 3:01:92. got such a shit wheel tho :( 40€ wheel with broken shift pads so i use buttons on the steeringwheel. People tell me that force feedback helps. i dont even know what it is :3 (never had a wheel with it, or tried)
Ezzy CSGO Nice one man, that's a really good time! :) Force feedback is when the wheel responds to what is happening to the wheels of the car. (Example) if you went into a rut the wheel would vibrate, as well as actively trying to pull the steering in one direction or the other, much like a real car does. Basically Force feedback is trying to simulate how a real car's steering would react in the same situation, like when a cars steering would become light during understeer etc. It would probably help in terms of just generally giving you a better feel of what exactly the car is doing, A better wheel will also have the added benefit of your inputs being more accurate in general. ie. smoother steering, more accurate brake and throttle inputs. That said, you don't need to go all out on a wheel either, some of the mid tier models do quiet a good job.
"Don't cut" doesn't count when you are Airborne
I love how the guy says it all calm and shit, if that was real life he would have been like "DON'T CUT OHH FUCK LEFT I MEAN, DON' CU. 40 OVERPR DAMMIT AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA"

link please ? =)
PS: I thought they won, but they were ONLY 6 seconds behind so, still an incredible feat. The link :D

Woah !!!!! Impressive, gotta love rally xD
Finland is fucking outrageous.
I love it.
It's awesome, they really did a fantastic job with it. :)
Quags Finland destroyed my sanity.
might aswell give that car a jet engine and wings, cus its spending more time in the air then on the track
Finland baby :)
"dont cut". "Don't worry, ill just jump over the obstruction."
and that's when I decided to quit Dirt Rally.
Did you actually let of the gas at any point?
If he did I never notice it, crazy driving. ^^
Gisselo Hacker Ikr. Wanna get a wheel so I ca fully experience this game
Have a G25 that I love, but I will never have even near the same times.
Haha, I do in a few places. ;)
Gisselo Hacker Keep at it man, it's all about getting to know the stages, and messing around with setups. If you want any help with the latter feel feel to get in touch on twitter. :)
> 33 seconds ahead of AI
> 1 second ahead the best player
> Several years ahead me
Fucking legend bro.
Sorry for the weirdness at the end, the leaderboard didn't want to load for a second there and since I'm new to RUclips my editing skills are lacking. :D
If anyone needs help with setups or anything, get in touch on here or Twitter ( @BeatenDownBrian ) and thanks for watching! :)
I tought this was an Fly Emirates advertising
Stop lying - this game is NOT as easy as what you made it look like !! :D
Haha sorry, from now on I will include the 30 minutes of me crashing before actually setting a good time ;D
Hahaha 30min...? It'll take me a lifetime !! Good run :-)
Haha stick with it man, 80% of it, is getting to know the stages, with the other 20% being a decent setup. If you ever want help with the latter, just give me a shout on Twitter (@BeatenDownBrian) preferably as it's easier to show pics etc. there. :)
+BeatenDown Brian awesome thanks man !! really appreciate it !!
There are a TON of downloadable setups via the Steam Workshop as well, unless you were mentioning physical setups i.e wheel/pedals.
This is impressive. I can barely keep the Renault Alpine on the road.
this route is only a 2 hours from me.
Wow that's awesome! I've always wanted to go to rally Finland, hopefully someday I will. :)
Holy shit. Every one of those lines were PERFECT. This guy is 100% bad ass.
this is when racing games became unreal...
I would say so if I didn't know that rally pilots actually were driving like that - check out real videos on youtube.
believe me, I know How rally drivers drive..but 90% of the jumps in this video wold kick out and distroy the car imediatly...But I love racing games as well..but I only trust in RBR..You can´t jump like that in RBR
lucky luke Yes you can if you know how to drive in RBR
You're crazy, I love it, it is rare to watch this type of gameplay.
Sekai Ori No Game No Lol thanks! :)
Wow, this a great run, your car control through the jumps is amazing, big props
Jyrkysjärvi too stressful for me. CREST JUMP, JUMP CREST, JUMP, JUMP, JUMP
Congrats man! Great run. I'm so bad at tunes, thank god for the workshop and a great community or i'd be way slower haha.
Yeah those are great for sure, but I'd love to see them implement a system similar to Forza's where you could upload and share tunes from in game, as long as they don't leave them locked like Forza does, as I think it would be a good way for people to learn how to tune a bit better. You made it look as easy as commuting to work! Damn!
"140, don't cut."
*Sees massive boulder*
*cuts anyway*
*Jumps over boulder*

When you crash do like 30 people run out and start pushing your car lol
TheRealSamPreece When I crash, there is nothing left to push! ;D
lol, whats ur pc specs?
Nice driving! It would be cool to see it from the external view perspective too, sometimes the replays can look even better than you thought when you're actually driving haha

congratulations!!
Now I wanna get this game. I really enjoy watching your videos.
Marcos García Honestly I cant recommend it enough. Also Thanks man. :)
Faaaaaaarkin hell thats quick cobba
Awesome! Congratulation for that 1st ;)
Thanks man. :)
Nice driving. Inspired me to beat my Lancia Delta S4 even harder. Personal record on same track is now 3:11.009. Playing it on PC using keyboard.
Nice. I'm using a NES controller.
How do you even take a turn 2 in 5th gear? Insane stuff. Awesome one.
This guy hits a hairpin right at full speed and the car turns. I can be completely stopped on a straight and still flip.
using wheel? If so what kind?
How many cars are included in this Dirt ?
I'm assuming this was done with a steering wheel setup. I love the game but it is so difficult with a gamepad.
Have you player Richard Burns Rally? You would enjoy it :)
I dabbled with it... for about 10 years or so. :D
What wheel are you using?
I seem to spend the entire time trying to not be in the air this guy was moulded by it
How many attempts did it take?
i cant even finish a championship without breaking 4 controllers and raging about 5 times per race, holy shit this game is so stressfull, yet you make it look like a walk in the park
Haha, I lol'ed. Thank you though, very kind. :) Stick with it though, getting to know the stages is half the battle. If you ever want help with setups or just with the game in general, feel free to get in touch on twitter and I will help where I can.
What are your setup and settings? all assisst off?
It's funny, every time someone uploads a video of a fast lap in a racing game, people starts asking about the setups, as if that would be the main reason for the fast time, when it's always primarely the drivers skills that should be recognized.
the car isnt even capable of that speed or power... this is modded
Ok, I see.
Ok, I see.
It's in KM/H lol...
Wonder how many restarts this driver have done .
Steering wheel or controller ...what's best??
Keyboard all the way.
What settings are you running the game at?
holy crap do you ever brake? :p
What is this "maybe" call out I'm hearing? Like "200 middle over crest jump maybe(?!!)" at 0:18.
What does it mean?
"Maybe" is used in rallying for when your approach speed may change the notes slightly, for instance:
If a pace note reads "flat right" that would mean this is a flatout right, but if the note read "flat right, maybe" that would mean this should be a flatout right, but depending on your approach speed you might need to lift.

BeatenDown Brian Thanks, it makes a lot of sense.
Is he a driver or a pilot
This dude is the new colin mcrae..
In the future, my daughter will be playing beatendownbrian dirt rally instead of colin mcrae.
"LISTEN TO MY CALLS SAMIR"
pc or console, Wheel or game pad???????
Hey sorry I missed this, it's on Xbox One and I use a Thrustmaster TX wheel. :)
My record is 5,124,095,576,030:25:48.376. I wish it could handle larger numbers because the numerical limits came accross before I could reach finish... :(
good driving !
I have no idea how to see the navigation
I got a 2:59.889, i will upload it, within the next Days.
id love to see the replay of that external view :)

Air time.
He was literally flying half the tie
wow awesome driving. i can never get 1st place. whats your secret? you go footflat around tight corners.
i see you started with 2nd gear... kinda makes me thing you win more km/h from that giving some extra time
Is this RWD?
flawless
- ... don't cut.
- Okay.
Controller OR Wheel??? If This is a controller,im wasting my time. Edit(You Still Did Good Regardless..My apologies. commented before video started
I use a Thrustmaster TX wheel atm, but am probably going to move to a Logitech before Dirt 4
gg good job
Mad skills

I'm not knocking the achievement but your turns lacked a certain fluidity and precision. You kinda relied on memorizing the track and bombing the jumps rather than approaching it with elegance and efficiency.

BeatenDown Brian u r amazing ;D
