This is super late, but I want to say if I remember correctly that this was done live on the e3 floor between two competitors. There’s actually a handful of bugs in this other then that (note the map at the intersection for example)
Even later, but that wasn't a bug. That was a gimmick. The racer had an ability where their position wouldn't be shown as a decoy appeared on the map that went in a different direction.
I just realized sonething between NFS hot pursuit and NFS rivals. In this video's demo the cop name is craig sulliven but in the demo of NFS rivals the suspect's name in the Ferarri F12 Berlinetta is also craig sulliven. Maybe he is an ex-special forcer or somethin'?
@kayu38 the bugatti's wing pops up before it begins to run. When a driver wants to reach the bugatti's top speeds, he has to flip a switch on the driver side door. Once this is done, the car will hunker down about 8 in (im not too sure on that measurement) and the wing will pop out. hope this helps.
@Romanticvampyre6 The keypad. 8 for the icon on the top, 6 for the icon to the right, 4 for the icont to the left and 2 for the icon on the bottom. =) If you don't have a keypad, you can always change the controls.
@bentheman3 You have to remember despite the fact the Bugatti can do 260 mph it is not actually going that fast, it has slower acceleration than the helicopter and no traffic to deal with so it can reach its top speed faster, the Bugatti has to deal with turns and traffic.
I see lots of elements from my beloved pursuits in Need For speed 4. Like swap patrol unit cars, set road block, cal helicopter and the radio speech. :-)
@salant96. The car being chased is a Koeniggsegg. So, Maybe b'cuz there's only an 11-mph speed diff unless the Bugatti cop car is a $2.5 mil Super Sport which hits 268mph. But, the helicopter would need to be an Apache though to keep up.

One thing bothers me:Why do you hit him from every angle with a ton of force and he's just pushed a bit and when the lifebar is almost depleted if you touch him he's flying?
Being the cop is the hardest you deploy road block spike strip and chopper and yet your racer got away so being a cop need some good skills in chasing and drifting :)
two words MOST WANTED! i know it's old but is STILL the best, they should make a remake of that, just like with Hot Pursuit :) if i remember there was a Hot Pursuit,back in 2002 right before Underground :)
@xspade777 Lol! All professional drivers were surprised by Veyron cornering despite its weight. National Geographic has a clip showing Veyron handling on a wet road without a problem in real life. Some people clearly underestimate Veyron ability to turn having never seen the car in person. Heck, Veyron is the (if not) only supercar that can tract a heavy van stuck on snow.

@se7enRag3 There are Gallardo cop cars in Italy. I'm not sure if Lamborghini donates them or the police buy them, but they're there. In the game, the correct Gallardo for the cops' side even has "police" written across the side in Italian like the real ones.
the gps,map,weapon display and mirror looks different from the actual game. also the police officers sound different. i wonder why did they change it...
@akzakirp I think the Nitros is a good addition, thinking back where in NFS: Hot Pursuit 2 police cars had nitros but racers didn't which it didnt make sense. Also the Hot Persuit was NEVER real, In Hot Pursuit 2 the Helicopter fired you MISSLES, which in any case it would kill the driver. I can tell because I DONT like Underground.

ihazpowah nfs crashes are supposed to look fatal for dramatic effect. the driver of course has some injuries but is okay and in stable condition.

@Shazeen82 The police helicopters are ment to go a little faster than average. About 200 mph. So it could catch up to it, IN A GAME :D

The radio traffic in the demo sounds nothing like this, hopefully that's the case in the full game as well.
@TheProName If you look a little better, you can see he is driving 150 MPH and not km/h. 150 MPH = 241 km/h.

This is not by any mean the best Need For Speed, but it's a good one, fun enough to spend a couple of hours per day playing it.

i think remakes are good... such as only improving graphics while keeping the underlying physics, models, map everyone have loved intact

Was it just me, or was the part at 2:20 looked like they were flying? looks like lag has completely taken off the ground for a couple of seconds.
