Paying 35 trillion to rebuild east ukraine is a nice thing to do. The poor people in the Donbas have been suffering since 2014. Great empathy and compassion.
I really don’t get it how can Ukraine of40 million people ? With almost zero aircraft with zero submarines with zero battleships with one economy smaller than the poorest country of Europe can hold the Russia in a conventional war almost 3 years but the Europe of over 400milion people with thousands of aircraft hundreds of battleships submarines battle tanks etc we have no chance I really don’t agree and not understanding how that works maybe an expert can explain that to me thx
Ukraine had large number of planes and got many planes from allies, tanks also. Ukraine was preparing for this war from 2014, with help of whole nato. Out of 45 millons pooulation and russia not drstroying all energy, bridges and rest at first day and going soft while 100s of billions are pumped in ukraine from all sides and lost million of soldiers, they can keep it for long. But in the end, there will be no future for nation. They lost 12 million people that probably wont come back
A repeated phenomenon with punditry about Trump has been a woeful lack of imagination. We always hear, "Oh, he wouldn't do that." And then he does. Pundits point out, "oh that's a norm he won't cross." And then he does. This is the ongoing theme about the pontification in editorial boards and inches of page space below the fold for 9 years about Trump. They always want to believe he's a normal American politician, when he's fundamentally a much less predictable, more volatile species of political creature.
I just can't imagine any US president is that short sighted after consulting with military top brass to withdraw support for Ukraine. The future implications and cost to US interests are immense.
Seems to me like they aren´t. Part of the podcast wasn´t about Ukraine at all. I´m really not interested in a lengthy analysis of what Trump and Harris did wrong and right, it´s on a hundred other podcasts. It used to be for Ukrainians and Central and Eastern Europeans, now it´s just for Brits and Americans. With David, my part of the world felt heard, which was incredible and I valued it highly. It doesn´t anymore.
I’m a long time listener and appreciate abstract theoretical thinking as much as the next guy but today, the American and German guests seemed detached from reality; continental rationalism at his worst combined with American cluelessness about history provided for an unusually painful listen specially compared with yesterday’s outstanding episode and regular interesting and occasionally hilarious episodes.
The collective West has been turning Ukraine into a tool to strategically defeat Russia, using color revolutions, but the plot has failed, Russian Security Council Secretary Sergey Shoigu said. "Instead of letting [Ukraine] peacefully develop over decades, it was not only shamelessly robbed but also collectively turned into a weapon for strategically defeating Russia. Their plot has failed," he said at a meeting of CIS security council secretaries in Moscow. Shoigu noted that the countries where color revolutions, supported by the West, took place had experienced "decreased living standards, weakened economic potential, the uncontrolled drain of capital and resources, and, in the worst-case scenario, the country becoming an instrument for implementing the interests of Western elites." "Unfortunately, this is precisely what happened with Ukraine. In 1992, over 50 million people resided there. The economic potential was comparable to that of France and Italy," Shoigu added.
For one, It completes a promise made by the American government For two 6b is quite a lot of equipment, if anything is converted to IFVs that would be dog I can’t but the provision of transportation vehicles is still something sorely needed. It would last the Ukrainians for several brigades through 2025, into 2026 giving Ukraine a chance to exploit Russian shortages in that time frame and breathing room for europe to start trying to catch up.
I’ve never heard such nonsense, Europe not able to defend itself against an invading army 😂😂 how absurd. Even if the US pull out of NATO Europe can defend itself easily. Nearly choked on my tea when she said that, get in someone who is more knowledgeable about Europes capabilities in warfare.

Come on, man. Just because the voters don't see Trump as Hitler ( İ hope they didn't just vote Hitler in consciously) doesn't mean he is not a fascist or that he is not echoing Hitler's language and concepts of power and violent bigotry. Just because the electoral college aligns with the popular vote once in awhile doesn't make it democratic. İts whole purpose was to blunt democracy. This guy uses facts to draw specious conclusions that fit his world view.

My boyfriend's attempt at role play involved dressing up as a pizza delivery guy. I appreciate the effort, but I think he misunderstood which kind of "extra toppings" I was expecting💚
