I’ve been using this build since yesterday, it took time to make it optimal but it totally pays of. Besides it’s the most fun to use build I’ve done so far. Thanks for the idea man it’s an awesome build!
This looks like a really fun build, I think it's the next I'll try out! I've been using a similarly tanky tonfa build, but... tonfa fashion is a little lacking. Just picked up a Great Holly Spear in my game and liked the look of it so much I came looking for spear builds, and this looks like the ideal build after I've gotten so used to just mashing and trading with mobs.
If I'm not mistaken, I believe you can't roll an active skill damage on gloves if it is already part of a set bonus. For example, since you have tornado damage in Japan's bravest as a bonus, it cannot be rolled.
Rolled poison on sakon and accessories and walllaaaa, now I bully humans too, this is really changed my playstyle, I'm so used to light builds and just dodging everything all day, needs a little more work on both the build and the playstyle though but besides that awesome and unique idea mah dude thank you :)
Rui Mestre that’s totally false. You can roll skills such as “piercing rain”, even secret arts such as “triple threat”. The key is making sure you don’t have an inheritable that conflicts with a specific active skill damage increase rolled onto your gloves. If you do that skill won’t show up when you go to temper. There really isn't a way other than RNG that I know of. Some people get it after a few runs, others over hundreds. I wouldn't be too sad if you can't get one though - the DLC will likely have weapons starting at 170 +10 as the new baseline if I had to guess.
Im working on a similar build to this, trying this now: warrior of the east main set (whole set bonus) + japans bravest (gauntlets and spear + yasakani magatama for the 20% tornado damage bonus), a water-imbued Sakon's spear (even rolled tornado dmg% on it) and kappa soul core for water damage life drain (need to farm a good one, mines lvl 36), still not optimized, but i think it can work great! any thoughts? Also, the thing about this version is that it doesnt have the ki recovery (amrita absorption) from the great holly spear, is it possible to roll that stat on Sakons spear, or is that like a unique special effect? Thats a very good special effect and im not sure if the build will work right without it...
Love your video and you have a great voice. I am still working on my first play through and want to do this build. Any suggestions on what I should do for this type of build on a first play through?

@@Kaienowaty Damn man you replied to a 2 year comment LOL, and to answer your question, no, this build is very advanced and can only be done in new game+. The best level 1 build is Odachi builds, the Odachi is CRAZY powerful and has a very long range
I'm trying to make a medium-armor version of this with Kingo's, mainly for the Ki+Backstab dmg. I'm torn between running a Saiko Spear to get the Tornado dmg (Was thinking of going water) or using the Holy Spear like you... It's a tough one but I think I'll need Purity for the Ki dmg, cause then Yokais will stagger.... What do you think?
Yes in both cases. In the case of the accessories you can see the actual defense number on the item itself change, so we know what it is modifying and how. I personally have tested set bonus stacking with weapon bonus and can confirm it 100% stacks.
Nice build, am spear fan from nioh 1, now i swaped to axe tank. Try using 3set oni shibata set for 10% mid def and put some steal talisman, and you are GOD mod immortal. I tosed elixirs from slot, i dont need them. And i would put shuten doji soul core instead of mugetsu , just try it man!! Nice build, there are so many possibilities.. am making now snowman 🤣 fckng hard to get all dps bonuses
I like the build and love trading. I think the soul core that gives damage reduction in mid stance would never be used if you're build is focused on high attacks...
@@VoidDub I guess I didn't read the description. They should use different verbiage. All the weapon perks refer to stance bonuses as "mid-attack ki damage, high-attack break, low-attack ki consumption... etc".
So much stamina just to be able to do one skill seems like a waste... i made an immortal build for Otakemaru NG+ at lvl200. That is a great vid though! Keep posting

@@leoelvis524 that would take 150 fabled umbracite. 20 from main missions, leaving 130 youd have to craft with quality umbracite. Meaning youd need almost 400 quality umbracite.... how?

Yes you can roll Tornado on gloves. I’m not sure if it’s specific to the gloves tho. I have it on the Tiger of Higo gloves.

I wish we still have Sakon Shima's Kara Jishi Spirit guardian, it will obliterate enemies with this build
How did u get a 170+10 weapon?? Ive been playing this game non stop and still cant get a 170 gear/weapon drop

Optimal clan would be Honda for more skill damage :)

I would think the skill damage would outweigh the ki status.
Is there a way to build this with high luck or item drop rate while not hurting the tankiness or damage too much?
The two defense bonus B are cumulative? And what about attack bonus? If I have an attack bonus on my weapon (Cons) and one set Attack Cons bonus?

Shark Bear mid attack literally means in the middle of an attack in this instance - nothing to do with stance :)
