I don't feel so bad now about buying necklaces from charity stores and using the chains to either replace tanished ones from my favourite necklaces from the 70s or to make something new. My mother would turn in her grave if she knew I was buying second hand jewellery from the Salvos or St Vincent de Paul, but who cares? I say do what makes you happy 🤗 Thank you for sharing your talent and inspiration. All of your creations are gorgeous xx 💖🌹🇦🇺
Some jewelry has value, but so many pieces are just costume jewelry, aka fashion jewelry, and it’s only valuable in the eyes of the beholder. Just like fast fashion, so much jewelry ends up at thrift stores and rummage sales. I don’t take everything apart that I find. And, there is always plenty of jewelry to upcycle. Thank you.
Hi, your video just popped up today, I thank God for that , there is someone like me who repurpose old jewellery stuff to make something new. Hope you n I will get along. Looking forward to see more such videos.
I have a couple of those rings and I find they're very useful for opening jump rings but inadequate at closing them completely, at times one end of the open ring gets jammed in the opening of the actual ring! A pain! 😊 So back to the trusty flat plyers to do the job properly!
I think I have a tip for you that will help, Carmen. When you’re inserting the jump ring into the finger ring, make sure you’re only catching the side of it not the top where the split is. It should open easier and close easier. Have the ring to one side and a flat nose, pliers to the other side with the cut of the jumping facing up. Give that a try and see how it works. Thank you.
I have a TON of costume jewelry I got when my momma passed. boxes and boxes. Some named brand, and a lot not. Been wondering what to do with it. you gave me some good ideas. some was even my great great grandmothers, which I will keep. I'm not a crafty person, but it could be fun. enjoyed your video a lot.
I hope you do have fun working with some of your inherited jewelry. Pieces that are signed can have value and I do not take them apart. I do have fun with all the costume/fashion jewelry. Hope you have some fun and thank you!
I came across your channel and initially thought it was uninspiring like a lot the other channels, oh don’t get me wrong they are helpful for some but just not my cup of tea. I want to thank you for sharing your ideas. I just love how you maneuver your creativity and your skills. ❤ oh by the way I like all the earrings, but my favs are #1, and #2.
How interesting! I've just decided yesterday to replace all my barrel clasps with small magnetic clasps. Can you not repaint or decorate the damaged gold beads?
That is an idea, but it would take time and the paint would have to be sealed, and I just don’t have that type of time or interest in doing that. Thank you, Cindi!
Great video! I like to do upcycled jewelry, too. You have great options using vintage pieces. I also like to do wire work with silver and copper. Are you by chance a fellow Canadian? I heard an" Eh " 😂
Thank you Kelly! Happy to hear that you enjoy designing jewelry too. Not a Canadian but have good friends in Canada! I surprised myself when I said “Eh.” But I left it in because we’ve had so much fun and great memories visiting in Ontario, Canada.
Hand damp wipe. Pointy q-tips to get into crevices. Soft stenciling brush to dust. Witch Hazel with qtip or soft cloth. Jewelry polishing cloth. Light touch on all. Test before going to far with any cleaning method. Hope that helps Jennifer!
3 is my favorite
They are all absolutely stunning! There is no way I can choose!
Thank you so much!
Love them, ur so creative! They look like little old fashioned lamp posts, love the look!❤

Number 5 is my favorite. It would be cute to have the pair with one circle on top and the other on the bottom.

I like 3 and 5 B. I love your jewelery making ring, i have seen anything like that before.
The ring is great for making chainmail jewelry! Thanks Maggie!
I just got that 3/1 bailer tool and I have no idea what to use it for, I can really use some advice or ideas!? Thanks 👍😊
I don’t use it very often, but I’ll keep that in mind.
They are all beautiful. I like #2 & #5 best. Then #3. Filagree, the shorter length and light weight would be a good everyday wear for me.
Oops, not 3 but #4.
Thank you Gina! 2, 5, 4…got it!
I love 4
Thank you Felicity!
I like #1 the best then #5B. Great video, thanks for sharing it with us.

Non tarnish coating on the chain keeps it shiny

This k you should make one each style on #5.
We think alike! I already did two of each design and listed them in our eBay store, Avante Avenue. Thank you, Paula!

What is your favorite way to clean thrifted older jewelry pieces of costume jewelry that will be used to make new creations?
Hand damp wipe. Pointy q-tips to get into crevices. Soft stenciling brush to dust. Witch Hazel with qtip or soft cloth. Jewelry polishing cloth. Light touch on all. Test before going to far with any cleaning method. Hope that helps Jennifer!
Do you happen to have a link for the storage draws in video?
No, I think I just picked him up at a local craft store years ago. If I can find a link, I’ll add one. Thanks for asking!
Thanks. Love your videos.
