I know some people love Icon equipment but I think there are definitely better options out there. I have Fox on the FJ and I have Fox all around my Raptor 🤟🏻 wouldn’t mind trying out King shocks someday tho!
Sorry I must have missed the other comment! All it is is a Warn jeep hi lift mount that I welded to my back Warn bumper. It only cost me around $50 on Amazon which you could pickup and weld to most aftermarket bumpers
Nice rig man ! the rino lining must have taken forever..btw heading to Moab next week if you are free ..lemme know always can use a fellow fj on a trip
Thanks man! The liner definitely took awhile to complete but I love how it came out and dang if I wasn’t working I’d definitely tag along, I’m hopefully going to get out there in a month of 2 so if I do I’ll reach out
They’re just the cheap amazon halo headlights, I needed something because my stock housings were leaking but these new ones are a little too cheap (I’ve had connections inside of them burn up) and If I were to do it again I’d buy a better pair.
Where u get light cage I agree old school look makes fj look aggressive and down to business I am a jeep man for years I own fj jeep wrangler unlimited rubicon o and jeep commander 06 lifted but bought a 6 speed Toyota fj cruiser I could not pass on just ordered 6in procomp lift among many other upgrades but our light cage alsome look compared to light bar where can I get one u. Have 5 light looks better than 4
I actually built that cage, as you said I wanted that old school look but I couldn’t find a cage that I liked so I just threw this one together and I really like how it came out. I’d almost say you’re best bet to find one you really like would be to find a local fabrication shop that could throw one together quick. It shouldn’t cost that much
Been browsing many FJ videos, checking out the FJ forum, on and on for head units. I also have a 2007, if you don't mind, which Sony model are you using?
The silver pieces near the doors...if you plan to remove the vents...they are PITA! I painted mine tan. Also, how high off the top of the rack does your front light frame extend?
Rodin Slakter good to know! I’ve pulled a few off but I can’t remember if I pulled those vents off before or not haha but the light cage extends out probably 5 inches off the front of my rack due to the lights size and the cage is maybe 2 inches above the rack which I can go double check that measurement, I built it so that it would just clear my garage door while also limiting how much it blocks the front windshield
@@BrodyBuilt If you need more storage...you might be able to add some all weather lockable rifle boxes up there. I think they are under 5in tall... I will have to check mine. I will tag you in a pic on insta.
Mark Miguel thank you I appreciate it! And yes they are Nitto Trail Grapplers and they’re 35x12.50 r17s, road noise isn’t too horrible it is noticeable but my BFG KM2s definitely had more road noise
Actually I have had some issues with the Doug Thorleys, mainly just the manifold gaskets not holding (no matter what gasket I try) and the same thing with the flanges to the y pipe. I did have my y pipe bent at an exhaust shop to make room for my skids which probably caused my issue but I’ll be going through everything to hopefully fix my exhaust leaks soon
BrodyBuilt ok and thanks for the reply. If you could post a vid about that it will be great. Btw, you should check the URD page, they sell few different gaskets and all reviews are great. Stay safe
@@BrodyBuilt that bad of gas mileage? I get 20mpg hwy with my stock AT 32". Also that 8.0 rear end doesn't hold up well to 35+ May wanna contact the guys at east coast gears.
@@dirttales that’s crazy because I know probably 30+ guys with FJs our here and they all get 11-14 mpg on 33in tires with stock gears. I already have a pair of diffs with 4.56s ready to install on mine this winter
@@BrodyBuilt I've seen a lot of mixed results on MPG's with the FJ, but I do around 60-65 and I get 19-20. My last off road trip with hwy included I got 19. Mine is an 07 as well.
@@BrodyBuilt Thanks for the info, I was guessing it would be around 8-10, with 1-2 additional just to play with to get the texture right. Also, just out of curriosity. What part of CO do you run around?
RooTheDestroyer not a problem it’s a great product and very easy to use and I’m in Colorado Springs and usually hit trails up and down the front range, it’s been a busy year so hopefully this year I’ll be able to get out a little more west to hit more trails
@@BrodyBuilt I was actually born and raised in the Springs. I ended up traveling all over the place for work, but I just moved back a couple of months ago.
I plan to, but I have some surface rust I need to clean up before I do that and once that’s done I’ll be painting the underside. I also knew I didn’t have enough paint to finish the underside when I was painting
I’d love to, I just would like to get a beefier rear axle before I upgrade to 4.88s, I’ve heard some people have gotten unlucky with the 8in rear and the 4.88s failed multiple times
BrodyBuilt really ? My brother and I both have 4:88 on our first gen tundras for several years now on the stock 8 lots of desert trips with no issues (315/75/16 tires) and currently on my 08 tacoma as well ,,but it don’t hurt to upgrade of course 👌🏽
Huh well maybe I’ll just throw them in ow because I was just worried because everyone I talked to said don’t do it haha well thank you for the info and I’ll start looking for a set 🤟🏻
My software must be messed up because you’re the second person to say something about the intro volume being high when they are balanced on my end... I’ll have to figure out what’s going on but thanks!
Thanks for the video! Really enjoyed seeing your build. It's helping me decide what I want to do with my FJ!

You should for sure do an overland trip and film it. Love this FJ!
Thank you! Would definitely like to make one this summer but we’ll see what happens with everything going on haha
can not agree with it any more, do more overland adventure, try this FJ with LC and Patrol, compare and find more
Awesome looking FJ
My tacoma is raptor lined, I love my raptor liner so much!

audio levels needs work to be more enjoyable. I understand it isn't easy but your editing is good and the content is worth the effort.
Yep that’s been an issue that’s been addressed just haven’t posted any new content with the audio levels changed.
Thank God you went with FOX and not icon!!

For future videos can you bring the audio volume down on the intro music or up on the video. Intro is a little loud and the video is then quiet.
Can we get a close up of your Hi-Lift mount? I asked in another video, but I will ask again because I really want to do the same mod!
Sorry I must have missed the other comment! All it is is a Warn jeep hi lift mount that I welded to my back Warn bumper. It only cost me around $50 on Amazon which you could pickup and weld to most aftermarket bumpers
