I am going to make my basket out of old blue jeans. Than I am making a throw rug out of old blankets or towels. Thanks Rita Tangri, you are Awesome.
Now, I stumbled on this starting my zero waste journey. This makes me so happy and I started instead of making baskets making mats, and handing them out to people on the streets. They where soft but firm so good for sleeping on, I personally don’t use plastic bags but my friends “gifted” me them 😊😊

Very nice video! You did a great job and your basket looks really good! I think a way to make this a little easier would be to wrap the braid around an already existing basket, and use glue or even staples. Then when you're done just pull it off, I think it would make it more stable and easy to keep it from getting lop sided. Very helpful video though !

It is much easier and neater to cut the tops and bottoms of the bags off if you fold the bags, one side to the other side, one or two times and cut. It makes for a much neater piece of "plarn". You can also cut 3 or 4 bags at one time.
The step by step sewing needs to be shown. Love to see this video done over more explicitly. Your on your way to great vidoes when you do not leave any details out. Also, turn up the volume. Good job.
I wish you would have gone into more detail on how to sew the plastic. My kids were wanting to make this and they do not know how to se the plastic. We were able to work around that issue. In all I think you did very well in your tutorial and my kids are really enjoying this craft.
