- You know the Rebel has been my go to clipper for a long while...but...I've been waiting to get my hands on the Gamma+ Boosted for a while. It's super similar to the Rebel so will it be my new favorite. Super powerful and lots of torque to cut through and texture and give super smooth fades. Nice all black finish like I prefer! I think I'm going to enjoy it!

Thanks for the info, Sean. I have the rebel and it’s an amazing tool. I believe the boosted is very similar to the rebel just with a different blade. Dope content as always brotha 💯

I’ve been using the boosted for a few weeks now and I love it, it’s so powerful and smooth. I did a freehand on a long beard yesterday and it was very precise

Gamma Boosted is exactly the same as the Rebel. They only look different on the outside. The Gamma one is noticeably quieter though. Gamma and Stylecraft are the same company but different branding. I think they should just do everyone a favor and stick to one. I think Gamma sounds cooler.

@@Seancutshair I heard the founder worked for Babyliss and isn't allowed to operate as Gamma in the states, therefore selling as Style Craft instead. Legal issues supposedly.

the boosted is my absolute favorite clipper as of right now, had it for around 2 and a half weeks now and it cuts and feels GREAT, super good quality definitely recomend

I just ordered the Gamma+ Boosted clippers. I want to order the fusion and I notice Gamma and Stylecraft have one. Are they the same just different brands or do they have differences? Which one would you suggest to get?
Yeah they’re the same. Some people probably prefer to have a gamma blade on a gamma clipper and vice versa.
Is there a difference between the stylecraft fusion blade vs gamma fusion blade?? Would one fit for the gamma boosted clipper or would both fit?
No they should be the same just diff logos
What’s the purpose of the stretch bracket? Does it allow you to skip guards in the fade process?
The one supposedly but definitely the half
Not necessarily skip guards but I’m used to a taper blade. The stretch bracket makes the open fusion blade closer to the length of a taper blade while keeping the shorter closed clipper length for taking bald lines out

They’re more or less the same thing. I think I like how the boosted looks better. Depends which colors and look you like
i have boosted but he is gettin pretty hot after 40 mins cut.. dont know if its only mine but not good.
40 minutes is a long time for any clipper so I wouldn’t be too concerned

So the deep tooth is a longer comb ? Not a face blade necessarily just a longer comb similar to a wahl senior ? (Not 5 star senior)

Hey Sean, was thinking of getting a new clipper. Which is better? X-Ergo or Gamma Boosted? The shape doesn't really matter to me, in terms of performance of the actual clipper, which cuts better?
I like the boosted better personally. Technically the ergo is stronger though

Why you change or you prefer the fusion blade on Gamma boosted clipper?
If I like to do zero or skin fade and the regular cuts witch one will work better for me on gamma boosted clipper?
It’s just preference the fusion blade just cuts somewhere in between a fade and taper blade. If you like fade blades it will be fine on the boosted

I had the lever issue and i can't tighten the screw back. I called the service here in Hungary and they said that they don't fix it for free because it's my fault. I have to buy a new one

Gamma sells it or most barber supplies. The bracket comes with the clipper

How does it compare to the andis masters? I love the way the cut but they are way too noisy and bit heavy.
Not very comparable to a master more like a supercharged magic clip.

It’s the fusion blade from gamma, same cutting blade

No it’s fits normal. I did take the clicks out though just my preference

Just preference. The t wide style is more like the original hitter blade, the t outliner style is more like the Evo trimmer blade

I've been using an Andis Envy(called US Pro in my country) for a couple of years. I'm a neophyte and only started cutting my own hair during Covid.
The Andis is struggling a bit with my fine, blond hair. Maybe low motor power or not the sharpest blades(maybe both).
Would the Boosted be a definite step up in your opinion? The store where I bought my last clipper has just gotten in a bunch of different Gamma's with different replacement blades available etc. Would appreciate any advice:)

Gamma has a 0 it’s equivalent, but Wahl, Babyliss, jrl all fit

Although you claim not to like a fader blade, but for a review such as this from the manufacturer, it will be ideal to use the blade that comes with the product, whether the blade is one that you like or not. As a barber myself, the blade makes a difference aside from the ergonomics or shape of the clipper and how it feels in the hand. What you did makes your review unrealistic regarding how the blade works.
It’s going to cut the same just slightly different lengths. People change blades on clippers all the time so 🤷🏻♂️

Why is it more quiet if it’s basically the exact same as the rebel?
Just because it’s new. We’ll see if it gets as loud after a while but right now it’s smooth and quiet
Because it is a new improved product. It's not exactly the same as the Rebel, it just has the same engine but with some sound enhancement.

Stretch bracket comes with it. Fusion blade comes with some clippers or can get it from gamma or stylecraft

What does a stretch bracket means? Whats the difference between a original one
Stretch bracket allows the clipper to open up further, leaving a longer open section.

Bro i think the Benefit is that you dont need the 0,5 and the 1,5 guard with the stretch bracket but i‘m not sure🤷🏻♂️

They’re the same. Just different lids. Believe the rebel comes with the faper blade and the boosted comes with a fade blade. I like how the boosted looks better but put a faper blade on it.

Love the boosted but haven’t used it long enough to know how long it will last. OG senior is pretty solid and lasts a while

Yeah I was always a taper blade guy but ended up loving the fusion blade with the stretch bracket so that’s what’s on here

MY REBELS died yesterday they wouldent turn off stayed on till it died and switch not powering on lasted yeah and a bit got it moneys well worth loved them see the fusion i rock with them but i think you need to chasnge the cutter blade as one one is shallow and other is jagged ordering boosted this time cutter blade not same as cutter on rebel double check
