Theres not a damn thing wrong about making it an M-sport model. It isnt even wrong IMO to put a M3 bumper on it, as long as it's not badged as one. But M-sport cars are nothing more than non-M-sport cars. Im putting the GTS style hood, M3 mirrors (not just the caps, the entire assembly from the M3), M2 style front bumper and alot more stuff on my M-sport 330e after the winter is over, so im gonna be faking it way more than you lol.
I think it's perfectly fine, it's YOUR CAR YOU DO WHAT YOU WANT WITH IT! Just my opinion 🤣
I'm triggered. That's right. I'm triggered that others would be triggered over what a person does to "their" car. Unless mr/ms snowflake gives me a car with the clear understanding that I may not modify it in ANY way then it is mine to do with as I see fit and they can go and just sit on a tack.
Damn I need to do this! I 1000% agree go for the m sport look if you want. It’s really just the highest trim package so why not? If it’s a trim that’s available on your car OEM then there’s no question. My 335 was sport package and I’ve converted the exterior (mostly). What grinds my gears is the M colors on the grille lol

M sport package has m sport suspension as standard while on sport line is an option,aswell sport transmission is standard on m package with lunch control and faster transmission while again on sport line is an option,iff your sport line is maxed with options then its only cosmetics yes
The transmission is the same, tune on them is different. Bootmod3 transmission tune is free for existing customers and makes it faster than M line.

When optioned with SAG(different looking stick with f1 pedals) then its only the mod difference

So just a tad bit of knowledge about the m sport idea
The BMW m sport package is almost strictly cosmetic, a few of the non cosmetic upgrades include sport + mode and launch control. In terms of the cosmetic upgrades in the m sport package, it’s upgraded bumpers, side skirts, steering wheel, wheels, lighter seats, and the little door panel upgrade. There is also an M sport PERFORMANCE package which is not really not available for f30,32 30i models. The m sport performance package includes a sportier exhaust and a bit more power. The M sport package and m sport performance package are two different things, and both different from an actual M.
I absolutely agree with you, but I hate the look of the front m sport bumper on f32 (which I have) and I would like to convert it to an m4 front and 440i rear. I don’t know it does make sense but it would look awesome to me.
Nothing wrong with changing the trim on your car, my F33 was a sports model, had trouble getting the colour combo in M edition, so paid lots of money converting it to M sport trim, i think even BMW were surpised when it was taken in for service, i spent thousands though, and should of just waited to find the correct M Sport car.

I don’t see any difference from the factory doing it with those upgrades and you doing it. I have the m-sport 435ix and pretty much just those upgrades. Maybe steering wheel and had the wheels. Which brings me to the next point… since I removed the m wheels and went aftermarket- do I lose the m sport?
Cosmetic changes to make it "M Sport" like is perfectly acceptable, IMO. It would be different if you were calling it a full "M", and not change out the motor, etc. PS: Looks great!

I don’t think the motorsport mirror caps fit the non motorsport body because they are not aggressive looking (even on the msport models), but small things like the door sills or steering wheels are great. We all know that fake M2/3/4/5/6 badges are a joke 🤣
Mirror caps are not part of the m sport package, it’s only an M car thing

What can we do about the rear door sills? I want to install msport sills but realoem shows clips for the rears just like the fronts...but there are no holes in the rear sills? Did your comes with 3m tape or something?
Yeah it’s odd but I guess non m sport cars don’t even come with a spot to install them. You can probably try 3M but might be hard to get it to line up probably. I personally didn’t bother since I mainly care about the front
@@ayyyman_Mine is an LCI f30 msport and there are no holes? But realoem literally says they fit? The sills get beat up going snowboarding, etc.
@@ayyyman_ I have a base model I retrofitted an with msport kit. It came with rear door sills. They're just matte black and say BMW but they do come on non msport cars
Alright, this is a contentious topic. There is an argument to be had. I agree to some degree that you should not just slap a “M” badge on your car if you don’t plan to go any further than spending the $15 to get the emblem (because that makes you a poser). However, if you spend the money properly and you go all the way with a build you have essentially pieced the M-Sport package together & in the end it may be better built & preform better than an actual M-Sport and that to me deserves the “M”. To me you actually earned the “M” instead of shelling out the cash up front to say look what I got. Also, if I were to put an “M” on my car it would be the last thing I did so know one could actually challenge me on it. AND……. In agreement you should NEVER slap a M3 badge on unless you you actually have an M3. This comment will trigger some keyboard warriors but in the end it’s just a point of view. Fellow F30 330ix sport line owner.

There is no performance difference between sport line and msport. Only body kit and steering wheel. I have sport 335i and want to upgrade to the msport body kit. Front end is such an eye sore 😅
