As a Korean-American, I'll tell you the most popular OG ramen is "Shin Ramen" hands down. It's the Michael Jordon of ramen and you guys missed it. Also, the most popular company is "Nong-Shim", which is like the most recognized brand. You guys missed both....sort of disappointed. I think you guys need redux.

😂😂😂this was far more informative that expected and extremely humorous! I wish I knew about these when I was in college...we never knew anything about a middle or premium noodles until recently so this would have been a game changer “back in my day” and perfect placement for “final countdown“ 😂😂

Next time try some roasted pork belly or soft/hard boiled eggs with the ramen. Its so good. Its my favorite way to eat ramen. Sometimes I even put in a raw egg over the noodles before you pour the hot water in and let it all cook together. Its really good too and you get chunks of egg bits all throughout your ramen/soup.

My favorite is the sesame ramen (참깨라면). Used to eat a lot of that in college. That said the best instant noodle brand is Gonghwachun (공화춘). Their black bean noodles and jjampong noodles are the BEST. Unfortunately you can only get them in certain convenient stores in Korea.
The hot mushroom noodle is not actually a Korean brand. The company makes and sells Korean food products for US market only. The others are pretty popular in Korea too.
I be extremely hungry right now for some Asian noodles! The wetter the better with just the right seasoning. mmm mmm good mmm mmm good that's what Asian noodles are mmm mmm good!!
For the next food review how about instant noodles from Hong Kong and Taiwan combined? From what I have seem HK and TW instant ramen noodles have a decent variety when combined, and they also have some unique flavours!

Yeah I like their tteokbokki Samsung. It even better when you mix it with the black bean flavor to have some sweetness because for me I still can't tolerate some of the spice.

As a Korean, my Top3 go to's are Nongshim Neoguri (Seafood), Nongshim Chapaghetti (Jjajang) and Paldo Bibimmyeon.
