with more buildings coming up there are government requirements to do wind study by consultants. so this issue is covered and addressed for the safety of people and stability of the building.
They show a diagram of wind rushing down three corridors one northerly, southerly and westerly to meet up and make one large westerly wind. Doesn't wind usually come in one direction at a time?
Instead of worrying over inane things like wind, Toronto should fix its public commuter system. The TTC is absolutely tragic when it comes to keeping an actual schedule.
Can’t get in or out or around the city and when it rains to hard raw sewage leaks into Lake Ontario there drinking water but they want to build 450 more buildings, don’t make sense to me

I think the Cantonese are getting the final laugh on this one - plenty of people in the west are making fun of Hong Kong for planning its skyscrapers according to Feng Shui, but I bet all of those holes in the buildings and rounded angles prevent downwashing and the formation of powerful gusts of Wind like these ones... 😂😂😂
Is this not a problem with every city with big buildings? What makes Toronto so special? I live in Edmonton Alberta and we have 68 floor skyscrapers here!
There is a story. Once Eric Clapton was standing in Thiruvalla bus stand. He was a big fan of Indian Art. They should give everyone the day off on Windsdays.
Well I wouldn't mine Wednesday off too :)

Removed to the region's that still have fine situation with an air pollution. Nice decision
And pass it over a large wind turbine farm for free electricity
So you gotta harness the wind eh
Try downtown Calgary for wind. We had an office there in 1993-94 and you had to hang on to the sign poles.
