That's because he wasn't really hypnotized. It might have been more succesful with a little bit more time and with easier subject (living animals in the space, as Rhett said, really didn't help), but as you can see it didn't go well.

*Conclusion:*
1. Link was actually under hypnosis (had no memory of the session) but it only sort-of worked.
2. Rhett still hates cats and he was probably killed by a pack of rabid felines in his last life.
@Skylynxify Reborn Something happened. Link has no memory of entire 1 hour sessions and as a skeptical person, I'm really struggling to digest it. This is weird.

I just think Rhett is ironically - naturally more skeptical about certain things than Link is.
Rhett was probably too focused on being open minded which kept him partly conscious. He was thinking too hard about it which kept him grounded.

I agree there's something to hypnosis, but in my opinion it's very similar to placebos. You could've said to Link, for example, "Hey, this is a new medicine invented by the best scientists for people to love tomatoes" and give him a sugar pill. It probably would had better chance to work.

To answer the question of having you remember the answer is yes. Somebody quizzed me on what happened to me during the show and I couldn't remember. So I asked the hypnotist and he asked if I wanted to remember, I said yes, he ran through the opening exercises again, he told me that I'd remember but that i wouldn't be embarrassed. Lo and behold I remembered.
I used to hate cats until I rescued my baby boy last year. He's the sweetest thing in the world and has such a funny personality. Just got diagnosed with asthma a few months ago, but he's still so sweet. Even meows at me and my fiance when we get home and plops over so we'll pet him. Lol.
Change "roast my cat" to "love my cat" and make Rhett compliment all the cats. 😂

If you for some internal reasons do not want to be hypnotised or you are not 100% willing to change or do not trust the hypnotizer just a little bit, it will not work
Correct sir. I went to hypnotherapy in order to try to stop smoking and right when it started to take over, I fought it and never got where we wanted. Hard to explain. I'm bullheaded🙄

It's not about the goal it's about entering the state of hypnosis, which is a place right above sleep, with minor brain function still there but almost asleep.. the hypnotherapist needs to be good at getting people to slip into that half-sleep state. It's achieved by the tempo and flow of their words. I went to a group hypnosis three times and only one girl was able to hypnotise me, it was unbelievable
Sebastian Klíma right. It’s merely power of suggestion it only works if you allow it to. Meaning you just lie to yourself and convince yourself it works. Its just power of manipulation and folklore has made some think it’s a magical thing.

I once watched a hypnotist talk about it, and he said a lot of things those preacher do are exactly that, and they basically hypnotize everyone, since they are all believers in God and all that, they are very suscetible to it, even if the preacher doesn't even know that he is actually hypnotizing people

Link, because you don’t remember being hypnotized means you are able to go into deep hypnosis. Not many can. There’s 3 levels and you went to the deepest so fast!
