@Camp'n Outdoors don't try to sound like you know what you are talking about..."He shod the breakover on the first foot backwards "...I've shod the top gaited horses and stadium jumping horses for over 25 years now....stick to your camping outdoors...idiot
he's shoeing A RANCH HORSE...not a clients horse..this guy prolly runs a WORKING CATTLE operation, something you have no clue about....you get in you get the fuck out...no more, no less, you don't have all day to sit under a fucking horse----HOWEVER the "put the hoof down, pick it up" makes no sense..
@@kristymcnabbers4284 if you go into this trade just “getting the fuck in and getting the fuck out” you will never succeed in this business. Maybe you should quit going around calling people an idiot without even knowing who there are. For all you know that person could have their cjf and be miles ahead of you. I suppose people can do that but in that mindset they’ll never progress further to be better
As a farrier since 1982, I agree as well. Driving nails with no apron, all you need is that horse to pull his leg back & those nails will rip through your flesh like a bear’s claw. His methods are an accident just waiting to happen.
For those concerned the horse is covered in scars. Look closer it is mud from a pasture. As for the methods. They are intended for personal use on a ranch where getting the job done and thinking of the horse’s comfort comes first. Not spending two hours to make a hoof look pretty for a paying customer.
This is about the (horse), and the horse only. On young horses they get tired holding their feet up, and they begin to fight taking to long. If we had to stand on one foot for 1 or 2 hours we would become very frustrated too. I am sure old horses dont like standing on 3 feet for a long time either, or having their legs pulled out to the side, not the way they were made.
Very poor video instruction. Never try to shoe a horse when you cannot see clearly what you are doing . You may damage the horse’s foot and hurt yourself. Giving the horse rest breaks is a great idea but he was hurrying not giving the horse much rest. His instructions are very unclear. Do not recommend this channel. Sounds like ge may need to go back to farrier school.
Go buy an apron and a tool box and slow down and take some pride in your work. Also stop trying to show off. I hope no one is paying for this kind of work.
This made me feel better about the job I do on my own horses feet...
Please let a professional do this
This is a mockery to my profession
I would have to agree.

As a farrier I recommend nobody tries to copy this guy
I second that recommendation. I am also a farrier. This was horrible to watch. Total hack.
