After watching this review while standing in front of the display at Five Below I decided to give it a try. I don't expect this to keep my floors spotless, but I wanted something to tackle the endless supply of dog fur my pup supplies, and figured this might help a bit. I'm pleased to report that it does a great job of picking up the fur and more!! It doesn't get every spot like the review says, but it definitely helps to maintain between deep cleans. The battery lasts just long enough to do my kitchen and living-room
We just purchased the newer 25$ version with LED lights and it is 100% worth the money, it's not as smart as our expensive one but it works wonders in our pet room. I was shocked with how much it picked up in the 30 minute run time, it found things I didn't even relise were there.
@David Traxler it doesn't work on carpet but it does really good on our wood floors as well as tile. It picked up a tun of pet hair as well as dust/sand (I live in a super sandy area)
Very helpful information, thanks for the update! I have seen the new black version with the LED lights. I noticed they put a big picture of a dog on the box to imply that it is great pet hair.
It really works what is the difference it the same one because it from five below it super cool and especially you nead to really go with your can get with simple things you can buy and i think thinks work better than anything super awesome amazing because i got one and it works great 👍 it from five below 🎉🎉yes it perfect five below yes yes
Great review. Glad i opted out of buying it. I have an Ion and ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT. I paid more but it's on clearance at Wal-Mart right now for $44.50. Absolutely worth it.
Just bought this thanks for the review. I have hardwood floors in my bedroom and there's always little crumbs and stuff on the floor so I think this will be good for me. Also to see how our cat Oreo likes it 😆 maybe even ride it? 😆
Thanks for reviewing this. I was thinking of buying this for my room which is pretty small. But, my room has carpet and based off your tests I don't think I should anymore.
Heh. Awesome review! I was wondering about this robot, perhaps someone will figure out how to hack or program it so it doesn't miss large areas of hardwood floor. Or perhaps it might make a good toy.
I am in the process of vetting out a replacement fan motor right now. After 4 months of daily use the commutator wore off the fan motor. Unfortunately there are no markings on the existing motor stating the no-load rpm, current draw or even model number so all we know is that its a 3 pole motor in a 32mm diameter by 17mm long case with a 2mm output shaft powered by a single lithium battery so about 4 volts DC and has a fan that is 70mm in diameter, blades that are around 7mm wide and overall about 9mm thick including the fan blade backing plate. There is no room to increase the diameter of the fan however it may be possible to use a deeper fan with wider blades. Put in a much more powerful fan motor and you'll drastically reduce run time as the fan is what uses the most energy in the device. Without the fan drawing power it will run for many hours so the drive, side brushes, lights and power board draw very little plus without specifications you could end up blowing that controller board if you use a motor that draws too much current. To support a larger fan and more powerful motor you'd likely have to install a power relay for the fan motor and power it from its own larger battery which there does appear to be room for. Note though that there do not appear to be any consumables available for these vacuums so it may not be wise to invest too much in upgrading and repairing them. Best!
i have one of this. Though it is not as good as the expensive smart robot vacuum cleaner, it is still descent on picking debris especially if you do have pets at home. I have a cat that sheds a lot and this vacuum helps collect those furr on the floor that cannot be easily seen and swept by broom and dustpan. Its worth it for the price.
Being in a room with birds there are feathers EVERYWHERE. I suppose I should give this a try. With the fan blowing around the loose stuff I guess it might work well for what I need it for? Thanks for the review BTW
It works like an old toy having a kid. It was a train that went forward when it hit the wall it would stay there for a second then back away and go in a different direction. The double wheel assembly acts like a differential. It will drive forward in a particular direction until it encounters resistance and it will spin around it's Pivot Point. It spins around until it dries itself backwards or sideways or whatever to get free. Totally random
I think it would be great for a kids room, we do have a self-empty shark and it could it a cow lol literally it has ate charging cables, it even ate a whole zip-it tool lol and since its a self empty vacuum i dont check what it vacuums, so dont like to use it at the kids room full of little toys lol
I do think it would do well with dog hair since it is light and wispy. I was not able to test it. My best idea was to cut my own hair and sprinkle it on the floor, but my hair is not very long so it would not be a good representation.
The center wheel setup was used way back in 90s and before when left right turn wheels were very rare on RC car models. This is the same wheel gear setup.
I was actually really surprised by this little vacuum. I had another I spent $200 die on me and thought I'd give this a try. I mainly use these for when my dog shed's and about 5 mins in to my living room this filled the dust tray up over half way. For $20 if you have a animal that shed's and/or lots of hard to get places it'll make things so much easier day to day. Overall it does what it should for $20
There is always a way! To pull more CFM, a faster rotating motor could be used. But it would also need a larger impeller (fan blade) to make a significant difference.
I don’t necessarily think the lack of sensors is an issue. It still changes direction and continues to vacuum when it hits an obstacle. The thing to consider in my opinion that kind of make it inferior are 1. Run time. Does it run long enough for your needs? 2. Inability to drive over rugs, carpet, obstacles. Hard floor only. This would be a problem if you have rugs. 3. Finding it when the battery dies. It doesn’t go back to a base station. I think you get a lot for $20. Definitely getting your moneys worth. But the next level up is hundreds of dollars.
I just got it today! it cleaned up my downstairs floor well! I do have a couple of rugs, but it got a whole lot of dog hair, even some cat hair. The rest that it got was dirt tracked in from outside.
It works great still and I have guided it whenever I can to prevent it from moving objects but when it hits the wall it works good unlike some cheaper ones
It did well. It definitely picked it up. I don’t have long term experience with the vacuum. Pretty much just what is shown in the video. I personally prefer to just use a broom.
Interesting. I found a couple other reviews on it posted within the last month, but the item is not on their website. I wonder if it is a new item, or maybe a limited or test item. There are definitely supply chain issues these days; maybe they are having trouble getting more.

That’s very valuable feedback. I was not able to test pet hair. Thanks for sharing!
literally me right now
Thank you very much for your feedback. It is what i needed! I might buy it as well, just to keep the floor a bot cleaner of dog fur!!!
This man crunched up name brand cereal. Clearly in a whole different tax bracket lol.
lol! I specifically used the name brand cereal so it would look more impressive!
😄😄
I agree. I was literally in shock!
Lol😅
Sheesh that was the most thorough review ever. Dude you rock.
Glad you enjoyed it!

Does it puck up pet hair on hardwood?
Does it work on carpet?
Thanks

You worked very hard to review this cheap product. I am not gonna buy this . Thanks for saving my money.
Good choice! I hope you enjoyed the review!

Underrated channel, keep up the good work! I didn’t even know FiveBelow had a vacuum like this. You just got a new subscriber! :)
Thanks, I appreciate it! Definitely sticking with it!
I dont know why..but this is my 3 yo sons favorit video 😂 he wants to watch this over and over again
Lol. I had fun making it! Glad he enjoys it!

Tape a battery pack on it

Great job on the review I won't be buying this vacuum thank you so much
Glad I could help!
For some reason, my Doggo is afraid of Roomba and other circle things it’s weird and just ridiculous at this point
lol. Mine is scared of vacuum cleaners.
Ordered two of these over the weekend from 5 below’s website. Should of checked your review out before ordering. Fingers crossed.
It’s definitely worth every penny for $20.
A vacuum with 4 times the run time of this one and a recharge and resume feature could still be called out for low working time.
At least it's better than my 99$ Mahli (Deppends On Where You Buy It)
Basicly the same as the five below vac but worser
thank you sir. it's definitely not for me. I'll get a real roommba one day
Glad it helped!

Aside from being gorgeous to look at, you did an awesome review and made me want to buy one.
Thanks, I appreciate it! Glad it was helpful and entertaining! ❤️
Omgsh thank you I'm going to get one if I can find them
If you upgrade that fan for the vacuum inside of it it could be much more useful snag one out of a good computer case thats old or something
I plan on making a video doing that in the future.

It’s worth a try for $20. I will point out that the feathers would need to be pretty small to fit through the suction slot.
love how thorough the review was!
I appreciate it! Glad you enjoyed it!
This is fabulous lol for the price
Well, that reminded me of those toy vacuum cleaners for kids. A lot of noise but no vaccum. In truth you should be payed for getting on of those.😄
I have zero expectations for anything from Five Below. Lol. It’s a store for kids.
So basically you get what you pay for 😂
Pretty much! I personally don’t have any use for it, but it was a fun review video.
The battery is small, I'll just add battery to 2s.
I bought this exact same one unused but someone ripped it out of the box for like less than $5 from a goodwill
lol. Nice!
Great video
I mean for 20 is not bad.
I purchased one today. there was one left.. It's perfect for my studio apartment and fit my budget.
Nice! Sounds like a great fit for you. Enjoy!

That’s the same logic my Roomba 670 (older budget model) uses.
Think this might go in the garage for saw dust. Thanks for the review
Worth a try for $20. Glad the review was helpful!

Oh wow! That’s a serious vacuum!
Which one do you have? I need it lol
I was expecting a comparison with roomba
I will add it to my list of future videos.
This lowkey better than roomba
2 of these and your good 😂
8:52 Very funny.
What about dog hair on hard wood floor?

I’m good with arduino / code. I kinda want to hack it to add sensors and a stronger motor and better battery….
Definitely sounds like fun!
Very thorough review! Thank you so much.
Glad it was helpful!
How long do I charge it for???
It took 2 hours and 53 minutes
8:30
Does anyone know where to get more replacement filters for this? I cannot find any.
That’s a good point! I would start my search by contacting five below. Your best option is probably to clean the existing filter.
I got one and it doesn't work at all
Sorry to hear that. Fortunately, it’s super easy to return or exchange items at five below.
The center wheel setup was used way back in 90s and before when left right turn wheels were very rare on RC car models. This is the same wheel gear setup.
Lol. I remember those (awful) RC cars.
I'm willing to give it a try. It's more than your money's worth.
Definitely worth a try for the cost!
This would have been a much better vacuum if it also had a remote to help navigate and control it throughout the floor.
And it would have cost much more.
These are good if you have a cat . They pick up cat hair ok . But idk that’s about it
Nice! Thanks for sharing!
The drop off killed me!!😂😂😂😂
How do you know this 😮
I would say it's not even worth $20
I purchased it to do a review video because it looked interesting, but I personally just use a broom. Done in five minutes with 100% coverage.
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial I used Youtuvr search for “five and below roomba” and found your video. I was thinking about buying one to tear down
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial also lol yeah if the vacuum wasn’t so terrible it might be fun but your unit was barely picking up anything

@**Spirit** 6:37 I tried it, but it didn’t work at all. I showed it in the video here: 6:37
Very thorough review
Ty for review I now know it won’t work on my apartment carpet
Definitely not on carpet! Glad it was helpful!
I think I will give this a try. I have a small child so this can help me in between chores day
Definitely worth a try!
Thank you for this excellent review :)
Glad it was helpful!
its good for the price perfect for a dorm room
For sure!
this guy looks like my mate Vince dude from the my mate Vince channel!
Vince sounds like a handsome dude!
@@HowtoandReviewsOfficial he's indeed
I wonder if there’s a way you can alter it to make the vacuum work better. Like get a stronger motor or something
I was thinking the same thing. Looks like it would be incredibly easy to make slight upgrades
There is always a way! To pull more CFM, a faster rotating motor could be used. But it would also need a larger impeller (fan blade) to make a significant difference.
