    You've used 2 deferent sentences for the gerund.
    can we change the same sentence? As follows
    I enjoy inviting people to my parties.
    people enjoy being invited to my parties.

    My car needs repairing. Is that correct?
    need + gerunds

    • @TeacherDanFitz
      @TeacherDanFitz  2 года назад +1

      That's possible but it's more likely to be need + infinitive.
      My car needs to be repaired.

    Many thanks for the video.

    • @TeacherDanFitz

      First one is correct.
      the second one needs the active form of the verb. Probably present progressive.
      the business meeting is taking place in the main room.

    Hi sir I am from india. I have a doubt about the PASSIVE GERUND. In ACTIVE GERUND , I AM THINKING ABOUT DRIVING CAR. But in the PASSIVE It is shown that I AM THINKING ABOUT BEING DRIVEN BY SOMEONE. [Is it correct? ] or can it be said that I AM THINKING ABOUT MY CAR'S BEING DRIVEN BY SOMEONE.

    How to change this sentence into passive voice " I like to swim"

    • @TeacherDanFitz
      @TeacherDanFitz  4 года назад

      To swim is liked by me. ......but that sounds funny. I don't think you can form a passive sentence when the direct object is an infinitive. I have never heard that rule, but I like it.
