Hello Fafael, this plugin is really great. But I wanted to find a way to make some animations and save it for later projects. I found this way: I loaded the plugin in Motion and converted it in an effect. Motion asks what you want to use as the effect source. Tell the Background to change it into the effect-source. If you saved the project as effect, you can make an animation and save it in fcpx as a preset. Now you can use the same animation in other projects. Kind regards, Howie!
So glad I hung in there till the end because that last tip you shared was off-the-charts cool! Great presentation and thanks for sharing the knowledge!
Hell yeah, I downloaded this the day it came out (like a year ago maybe more??) I use it often and it’s awesome. MotionVFX make hands down the best FCPX and Apple Motion plug-ins.
Hey Rafael. Thank you for this. The plug-in is great but I wanted to tell you that your tutorial style is so helpful and easy to follow. Great job, bro!
Awesome 👏🏻 I have hade it a long time, but I have never used it.😅 Now I am definitely going to use it. 😀👍🏻 Another great and easy to understand tutorial. Thank you 😊
Hi Rafael :) Super thanks for this awesome video, mCamRig is great ^.^ In my tutorial videos I sometimes need to zoom into a screen recording and then move to a couple of different spots on the screen and after that zoom back. I see that mCamRig supports adding keyframes for additional camera movements, but as far as I have tested there is no easing on those keyframes, the movement between the keyframes is just simple linear, only the zoom in and zoom back have nice easing :) Would have any other recommendations or solutions for multiple smooth zoom ins and pans? Super greatful ^.^
That is also my biggest frustration with FCP! I change the position of the underlying video and that has a smooth function. So instead of adjusting the position of mCamRig for the second move, adjust the position of the clip under the adjustment layer. And at the same time adjust the rotation of mCamRig camera. It's not perfect but it's smoother going from position to position. Thanks for watching and the comment!
Hey! I figured that if you layer the mCamRig transitions, they smoothly add up to allow you to zoom between different spots on the screen. It makes the timeline look much heavier but gets the job done
I’ve got some credit in my MotionVFX account - def gonna check this one out. Awesome tutorial - thanks for sharing your knowledge! 🤘🏻🙌🏻 What are you using to magnify and what’s under your cursor and to outline it? mTutorial?
No credit needed, 100% free! The cursor magnify is "Cursor Pro" on the App store, it's the best one I have found. apps.apple.com/ca/app/cursor-pro/id1447043133?mt=12 There is also a companion app - Keystroke Pro. Thanks for watching and the comment Matthew!
awesome video - do you have a tutorial on how you do the screen share and have yourself pop out like you did here? Would love to learn that!! Thank you!
Thanks! I use the Picture in Picture Effect from the Final Cut Bro thefinalcutbro.gumroad.com/l/PictureInPicture Thanks for watching and the comment Lester!
Awesome I have hade it a long time, but I have never used it. Now I am definitely going to use it. Another great and easy to understand tutorial. Thank you
Thanks SOOO much Rafael, I have always had the plug-in but never used it, still do not no why...(weird). Well, I'm sure it will be my go to now. looking forward to more stuff from your channel. I've just clicked the subscribe button :)
Great video like to see more, question for you, when you download the free lutsbdo they go directly into final cut pro or do you have to make a folder and set it up in the application if that make any sense.
tried to download it, and finally got to the screen where they asked me to install M-installer. I don't need any more apps for downloading on my machine and possible causing issues, so I punted. Too bad there were so many hoops to jump thru...
Hi Rafael. Thanks for the videos on FCPX. I have a MacBook 16” 2019 2.3 ghz 8 core with UHD graphic and 32 gig ram. I am currently on Catalina 10.15.7 and wanted to upgrade the OS to get more out of the fcpx like tracking. Could you advise which OS would be best with this MacBook , as in would it be better to go to an OS before Monterey or not? At the moment the system works really well with 4 k 50fps files from my Sony cam as well as the 10 bits DJI Mavic files.
Hello, Rafael! thank you so much for this awesome Plugin! Love it! By the way, how can i control the hardness (ease) of the x and y axis (position) when a put many of this keyframes in a animation? It seams to be impossible (?) I can't make the x and y axis motions (position) smooth. Thank you!! Greats! :)
Keyframes and easing are the worst part of Final Cut Pro. It's not the plugin. I too struggle to make it smooth for multiple moves within one shot. Hopefully apple improves the key framing in final cut soon! Check out Dylan Bates' channel he has some pretty cool ways to improve motion animations. ruclips.net/user/TheFinalCutBro Thanks for watching and the comment Dani!
I had downloaded this a little while back as I saw it was a freebie, but hadn't taken a look at it yet. Thank you so much for this introduction, I already have plans for it's use now.
I actually like that, It allows me to tweak them to my own liking! (though it doesn't always work out for the best) Thanks for watching and the comment Toni!
Did they actually rename it or something? I have mExplorer but cannot install it. And when installing through mInstaller, I do not see it in FinalCut. Strange...
Raphael, is there any way to control the speed/duration of the push in? This would appear to be a crucial option. I can't seem to find a parameter adjustment for that. Could be that I am not seeing it?
@@RafaelLudwig I am working with stills, so the workaround is to turn it into a compound clip and slo-mo the compound clip, which then slows the effect. Unfortunately it kind defeats the purpose of a "quick and easy" vfx. Let's hope they listen to your request. 🤞
There Will be A PlugIn for Picture Before Charctor you Shot with iPhone. For 50$. In Final Cut Pro also there Will be plugIn for Angle in Shoting like in here in Video for 100$ and there Will be a New App Final Cut Live for Live with a Few Computers in killer idea and Logic Pro Live Work in WWDC.
The fact this plugin is free blows my mind. I would easily pay top dollar for this! Snagged it a few weeks back and getting around to a tutorial today had me going "Oh man sooo good" Thanks for explaining it all! Subbed!
It looks like a great plug in, and worth it if you will use it for many shots. I use After Effects and C4D to do similar 3D camera moves, so I haven't picked it up, and now FCP has the built in Tracker that works pretty well. Thanks for watching and the comment Ralph!
If I place it on top of a multi-layer project, it will of course affect all layers below. So If I turn it into a compound clip with just the first layer, if the first layer is just a PNG element with no background, it will create a gray background to it, and you can't see the layers below.. any solution?
Is this PlugIn available without the mInstaller tie in, please? "If it's free, you are the product" is a common phrase, which mInstaller proves it's validity again.

That's so cool! Thanks for sharing Howie! I've done that a few times, haven't tried it with mCamRig- great tip!
What's the chance someone would put together a how-to on the above?
Right on. A lot of creative potential available here and a food tutorial to get one's foot in the door.
Thanks for watching and the comment!
I've always had this plugin but didn't realize what I had. This was very helpful! Great work!
and what did you use to pop up your face when doing the tutorial?

I use a 4k monitor, and then I add the sharpen effect to make the details pop a bit more when zooming in. Thanks for watching and the comment Allan!
great video, do you know of any plugins to reduce vignetting caused by lens distortion?
