Hi, AK. Don't get rid of those mirrors, think safety. Your truck looks cool with these mirrors. As regards to the shifter boot just tie the top of it closed with a cord, it would look cool. I hope that you change your job, best of luck. Keep on trucking.
I love your videos. I haul logs in the northern woods of Maine, been a local guy my whole career but watching you and what you go through enforces the respect for my fellow drivers out there. Keep er shiny side up brotha!
Will do and thank you for the support how’s the log hauling business
@@TruckerAK Well we've all been in the shop the last few weeks getting ready for the season. When we get back at it, watch out! The mills are picking back up and hungry for wood.
You should do like story time talking about crazy experiences and stuff you’ve seen personally on the road I think it would be good content!
Good idea I’ll try it out

Trucking comes 1st, RUclips 2nd! We definitely can wait a little longer for car video. As my bud Guilty718 says " I'm not a RUclips trucker, I'm a trucker on RUclips #FACTS
true
Loves videos like this. Use to pull loads out and in to Long Beach terminals. My favorite was the APL terminal to San Francisco loads on the weekends use to pay almost double. Use to drive same truck as you do with the exact engine and transmission 13 speed. Don’t forget to idle with your cruise control at 800 rpm to keep your top end lubricated. Good luck and keep trucking.
Hey buddy, enjoyed your layed back commentary. That truck has so much potential, plan the customising, do it tastefully. I'm watching from Australia, love your work, stay safe and treat the lady and the dog well.
Excellent as always, AK. Thanks for having us along for the ride. Your channel is really growing btw! Great amount of views in a short amount of time.
Safe travels my friend.
No problem and thank you for supporting !
You said, "living out here wouldn't be so bad"....well, it is not bad at all. I live in Knoxville and I love it. Safe travels.
Those hood spot mirrors could "save your bacon" especially on the right side.
Keep up the good videos AK
Stay safe and Cool Runnings everyone.
Hello I am from Argentina. I really enjoy your videos, it is relaxing to see how you drive on the American routes :)
Keep it up, greetings and blessings.
She sounds brilliant in them tunnels keep up the great videos thanks 👍
I Really enjoyed watching this ^^
HOUR LONG BAYBEEEEEE!! I literally was thinking today man I miss the hour vids!
Have you ever thought about car hauling .my dad works at autocarrier in Jacksonville as a company driver making 6 figures. You should give it a shot.
Love the vids man
Great vid,just keep on grinding👍🏻👍🏻
Great videos! I was wondering what ELD do you use on your setup. By the way I love the look of those hood mirrors reminds me of the old datson pickups.
Leave the mirrors. My tripod on my truck constantly rust. Little steel wool on them and nice again.
Nothing is ever 100% smooth. Been there and got the tea shirt 4 decades ago. PS Nice shot rearwards from wing mirror with the trailer swoop.. Cheers from Roger in the UK
When you paint the truck navy blue and get a pattern of your logo off your t-shirt and blow the patterns up and after you paint the truck get your paint man to put the logo on both sides of the truck and put your clear coat or wet,wet on top of the clear coat that would be tight.
Love the vidzzz bro. Keep grinding.
Your such amazing youtuber keep up the good work u inspire me 😁💯
Glad I can inspire you !
This is a really nice video. I like seeing you drive down the road. Brings back memories lol. Thanks for sharing. New Subscriber.
Missed the 1 hour vids
Your videos are the best. Really enjoy them all.
How could I be a trucker like you starting from nothing?
I went to a college program to get my CDL
Get your permit bro, you can do it yourself just study the book, then try and find a small company willing to train you
FYI. Resting your hand/ arm in the gearshift adds premature ware. I was told that by older truck drivers.
Thanks for the tip
I used to do that, my shoulder started getting sore, it felt like it was knocking my shoulder out of the socket.
Great videos. Love that you do these vlogs and not a bungh of streams while ur sitting at the shipper with the low quality video and audio.
Great video!!
Keep it coming.
Yea man you gotta take that gear shift cover off lol it’s not vibing, but great video as always, I love these 30 min to a hour videos
@Big hello, how are you doing
Trucker AK excelente video
AK what’s up brother? I hope it works out for you for the new company!!! Good luck 👍🏼 😎
You can use some bush polish on your tripods and on your rims fuel tanks in it will shine real nice.
Hey man just keep a positive mental attitude. PMA. If not as you know this industry will rip you apart. That's also why I don't do favors anymore for anyone. I always get screwed in someway.
I sure do appreciate the heads up on not signing on to customized ...have u ever considered some flatbed or having your own trailer to be able to go on the load boards to get some of thst 2.34 cpm or more...its why I do vehicles n partial loads to stay between 2 to 3 bux per mile
I used to have a crush on this beautiful sistah that work at that Steak n Shake at Tifton Pilot! I used to make it my business to stop there for a 30 minute break!
Looking good keep driving
Found your channel today and enjoying your video. You don't look like the stereotypical truck driver. Shorts, flips flops. You are cute.
green light and good journey on the road
Thank you brother for this 1hour video
Hey AK. You r the coolest layed back container yanker I've encountered in 20 years man. Very proud of your accomplishments especially backing skills safety #1. Enjoy watching all your videos man. Still trying to figure out how young you are. None of my beeswax but I always try to tell. Lol. Coolest APU for $28 bucks. My Classic AC is so frickin cold it chases me right out of the sleeper when I close velcro curtain, have dash timer, I'm sure you know what that means. So when I forgot to use it I wake up at midnight with frost on inside of windows. Waistin fuel.
What’s goin on and I’m 25 but I also have the dash timer but I don’t think mine works but at least you have curtains lol I don’t even have those but thank you for the kind words I try to stay as safe as I can when doing anything
@@TruckerAK my Trucking company is the sponsor of "TRUCKERS CHRISTMAS" I created this event after fueling in Harrisburg PA, 2010, asked fuel desk clerk for a candy cane sitting on the counter in plain sight. I just purchased $900.00 diesel fuel and the clerk was a total meanie. The following year I baked an decorated 240 giant Christmas cookies packed in a nice tin with a big candy cane wrapped together ribbon and card for class 8 truckers who work week of Xmas. That was back in 2011. Now the TRUCKERS CHRISTMAS gifts are 10x's bigger and if you still need a velcro sleeper curtain in blue, TRUCKERS CHRISTMAS will gift it to your class 8 tractor. MPT POWER set up a media blitz for USA Truckers off I-85 exit 11 SC to reach thousands of class 8 truckers. To my surprise it actually worked, 126 tractor trailer truckers showed up to receive $150.00 FREE gifts they picked up for FREE. Last year 100's of sponsors offered to take over but I declined due to the fact that I want media to cover the Truckers lifestyle, TRUCKERS MOVE AMERICA. MY point is NOT about gifts or who they are from. I'm not interested in fame. Giving Back is what it's all about in my opinion. It takes 10 months to complete the process for TRUCKERS' CHRISTMAS. Figuring what the current generation truckers want for FREE, picking up the stuff nationwide in my rig. Wrapping packages, signing cards, baking cookies, advertisement, all the employees Carriers who disguise themselves in CHRISTMAS costumes to hide from TV cameras lol.
Stainless Visors, chrome top hats, train horns, color steering wheels, tractor alarms, LED lighting.....
Oh goodness I sure miss driving !! Be safe out there Driver.
Don't get rid of those mirrors, think safety but the boot has to go 😂😂😂 what's your plans for the hood???
@Trucker AK I love the hour videos, do more long videos!
I would like you to do a video tell us everything about how the company's work, because I'm about get me first truck and I would like to know what I'm getting into
You would make more money if you got away from containers. Plus stop running around the south. You can make more money running northeast and up towards Chicago. I use to live in Florida but the freight just sucks in that area.
Trucker Ak is the best trucker
I love the interior, lookin good! I want to do that to my brothers, Coronado glider!
They tripping I like the mirrors that’s on the door bcuz u can fluctuate the door back in forth while backing and still use the mirror up to a certain point then u gotta stick ya head out the door!
Do you have a video on how you changed the light bulbs to blue on the gauges? Im trying to do the same
If you put the ac in the bunk on too it’ll cool the cab quicker
AK look up Just Truckin on youtube. He gives good insight on what kind of money you should be pulling in. Keep on Trucking. Stay safe. All the best. Guys like you, I want to see do well in truckin. Hard worker.
I love your jake brakes .
Thank you
Dude at 19:33 you passed by my exit 😂😂😂😂😍 eastridge
Good vids
I think you were trying to say the word "Bandana".
how much would u say trucking has changed since now vs like 2019-2020. or how different does it feel
Hey man thanks for your videos what eld do you use?
I am wanting to become a truck driver. Can you do a video on recommendations. Like should I get the cdl on my own or through a company?
This my 3rd week doing intermodal how did you like it also do you like landstar better than intermodal
do you like to honk whenever kids drive by telling you to? i’ve always wondered this lol
I’m new to you channel see when you said your trying to move to a different company would your mate move to as yous two help each other out
One question have you driven through ice snow white out conditions?
Cool vlog keep going
From one CDL holder to another, from the amount of movement you make on the steering wheel, you need at least a front end alignment.
Lol trust me I don’t
You split gears when you are empty?
I missed the video of him installing the boot what does the red and black switch do? I see him flick over the red one when he shifts but im not sure what either do
The black on switch’s the range selector for the gears to the high gears and the red one switch’s the gear to High and low
Got a couple questions for you. First, I know you're an O/O but who do you actually work for? Do you just broker your own loads? Secondly, how old are you? Third, where did you get training? Fourth, do you get a salary or are you by the mile?
new to your videos just wondering if that much slack in your steering wheel is supposed to be like that?
It’s normal on my kenworth I had it was worse lol just how semi trucks are all my steering components are basically new
hi trucker am, how u doing? Hope ur doing great! So where did they unload you maybe I skip a part idk just wanted to know cause I was wit meh dad trucking and I think I saw you 👀👀 and I was so shocked I was like “IS THAT HIM?! NO WAY!! I can’t wait till he uploads to see if I saw the truck”, and idk if I saw it or not. And I legit saw ur black hood, white truck and the white Crowley trailer. Just wanted to make sure cause I forgot where we were. and I the day I saw you was Wednesday. so ye stay safe bro, and u know what they say keep trucking! hope you see this. 💙 keep em coming!
You probably did see me i was going up to TN Wednesday but will do thank you for supporting
Trucker AK ;DD omg I’m legit shocked rn I’m crying 😭 cause ur legit my fav youtuber. Cya on the next one bro 💙
Hey bro I know am not checking up on ur video but keep it up
Can you split the gears the next way? @trucker Ak
Awesome to see a young old school soul
Just wondering do you use valve stem caps or do u just do with out them?
I use the quick check valve stem caps
Thanks thinking of getting them..makes it easier
Do u know what their called an where u got them.?
I went to a tire shop and just tell them quick check valve caps
Me too
I saw your truck hood was white in A day in the life but how did that change to black?
I can't quit looking at your gopro mount on the window. It looks like a dude sitting holding a steering wheel.. once you see it that's all you see.. lol
I’ll take it off lol
@@TruckerAK oh it's fine.. I wasn't complaining.. it's crazy how it looks like that
.
@@racetube44 it seriously looks like an alien holding a steering wheel 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Do you run regional or dedicated?
Cummins??, ok, now l hear the whistle, CAT...
Hope it picks up for ya. Rail yards are picking up. I’m making the switch from rail yards to van work. Just picked up a newer truck for it. Making moves and trying new stuff isn’t a bad thing. Just don’t burn your bridges.
Yeah I’ll make sure not that burn any bridges but I may go to land star honestly
Trucker AK only reason I didn’t go there was because i don’t have a year otr. I ran local since I got my cdl. Have a buddy there doing flat bed going great
@@TruckerAK i have a buddy there loving it doing flat bed. i pulled the trigger on a company im signing onto on monday that runs load boards. self dispatch about as independent as it gets with being leased. excited to try it!
What truck do u drive
How do you like my Georgia states traffic at times?
i gotta question is it worth getting a cdl at 18 ?
There's a billion videos on RUclips that answer this question for you.
Short answer: It all depends
Nice just finished a 616 mile day. In Lewisburg, Tennessee. Next stop El Paso, Texas
What you doing up there in lewisburg? ICP?
Dropped a load from Laredo, TX. Think it was Air Conditioning stuff. Doing a 10hr Sleeper
@@robertfelixjr.6717 Ten 4. Got me a load of that myself heading to san diego. Camping out in Gallup right niw.
Be careful with the Coronavirus that is the hotspot for New Mexico. I'm from that state. I normally don't say it but wear a mask.
@@robertfelixjr.6717 roger that. Im prepared. I'll be gone in the morning. You can't get in the el Paso loves without a mask.
whats the numbers on your tablet for?
Hours of service I’ll explain them soon
If it's not the wiper motor it could be the switch..
And you can put another logo above yours and that's jacksonville freightshaker.
U should get a pull horn
My dad is a truck driver and he is having surgery on his back because he got flipped from another semi driver I’m scared for him to do it because if he does it he won’t be able to drive the truck anymore
Guy sliding his tandems at 56:06
@John hello, how are you doing
Remember that
Is it pretty easy getting your cdl
Depends it can be hard if you make it
Hey bro take time with the peanut s 4 nuts = 1 teaspoon of oil. So take time and make sure you don't give your self an heart attack. Love the vids bro
Hey Ak how's everything brother?
Get rid of those rookie mirrors and get the arm off the shifter will wear the trans
Honestly when I get comfortable I’ll take them off but since with containers I go to some tight places I’d rather have em
heard u talking about switching companies, have u thought about traveloko? they are located 489 Lovers Lane Rd SE, Calhoun, GA 30701, the youtuber Indiana Jack was working for them the last i seen
I’ll search them up thanks for the info
Is it easy to transfer companies?
yeah for owner operators it is
Just found ya, nice camera work
Thank you
I feel like driving that much all the time would drive most people insane. I hate driving period.
Because I would like to drive
You need your own authority.
