I let out a little scream of joy when I saw Keith and Watts from Some Kind Of Wonderful on this list! The movie and the couple are among my favorites and both are so underrated.

This is my favorite romantic trope. It’s so nice to see movies where the two characters already like each other as friends and have a good relationship before they finally fall in love. I love it so much ❤️ In my opinion even though it’s not as dramatic and flashy as love at first sight or people who constantly go from hate to love all the time it’s so nice to see two people to have a good, fun relationship in friendship and then it turns into a beautiful, loving relationship. Plus I think relationships built on friendship and already knowing each other for years is better than having people who argue all the time and then make out or their entire relationship is just built on having sex or passionately making out

I love the spiderman and Mary Jane kiss, although, it gave me unrealistic expectations. I got the love of my life after all, but it took a while with movies with relationships like that.
Because he’s Spider-Man and they were indeed neighbors and friends before. She eventually ends up with him…..I’d say they weren’t classic friends…she’s popular…but they always said hi and were kind to one another.

Isn't this cliché about women and men not being able to be friends totally old-school? I'd love to see a love story about friends loving and supporting each other and still not being sexually attracted to one another. We know now that there are so many concepts of relationships and being a loyal and compassionate partner doesn't always have to be "the one" but can just be a beautiful and fulfilling relationship (probably besides a romantic relationship)

It’s explained in the musical! Usnavi’s parents were immigrants to the US and didn’t speak English super well, and saw a ship passing that said US Navy. They thought it was a nice name, so they named their child Usnavi, not knowing that it actually said US Navy, not a name!
