cheers
its all from the album "a history of jungle 1990-95"
Strange, most of the tunes are Hardcore or Drum and Bass!?
Jungle? Isnt this hardcore??
Who gives a fu6k what category it is??! Eh?!
@@sprinch it does matter. its like saying drum n bass and jungle are the same, which they aint lol
As someone who was at the Sky Blue in 90, the eclipse 90-92, the edge 93-94, speed 95, que 96 onwards, god knows how many dreamscapes and helter skelters etc. I can count on NO FINGERS how many times I wondered "is this jungle ? is this dnb ? is this hardcore ? is this jungle techno ?" nobody gave a fuck. and anyway this stuff is from 90-95 so it starts with hardcore, goes through jungle techno, and ends up early dnb. that's the truth :)
@@beecee2205 You're on the money dude, I hate the way people draw up divisions with these things just shut and dance, don't like then go to night where the play the same thing for 6-8 hours straight plenty of those exist. best nights are where there aren't divisions, metalheads seems to be the only one going nowadays. It was great when some dropped a 145/150 breakbeat hardcore tune at Subloaded totally through the mc off lolz
There have been breakbeats taken from funk, soul, rock, jazz etc genres. In the beginning there was hip-hop that used "breakbeat on brakbeat" idea. That was used in breakbeat house with 4/4 kick and that evolved into pure breakbeat and breakbeat hardcore. B. H. evolved into darkcore that evolved into jungle. Jungle evolved into jungle techno and dnb, dnb+jungle+breakbeat evolved into garage, later garage evolved into grime, breakstep, dubstep and so on. Breakbeat evolved into many genres in middle 90s such as big beat. There is no point to talk about many subgenres.
