It wasn’t the best day to showcase this island 😅 hopefully you still liked watching it 👍 did you enjoy the small Phnom Penh, Cambodia series? I’ll be back!
Next time you can explore Koh Norea near Koh Pich. Koh Pich developed since 2008 Chroy Chongvar City and Koh Norea are all developed by OCIC companies owned by Khmer : Neak Oknha Pung Khiev Se and he also own 49 percent of Phnom Penh New International Airport.
Another very helpful tour guide and quality informative video. Most enjoyable. Cheers Chai . When starting your search with mum in Indonesia maybe link in parts of the existing two videos as an introduction when you made on your previous attempt to locate the family roots to the first one you create this time around and/or create links to them for new viewers to catch up on. Just an idea that I thought of 🤩
I found the food to be more expensive than in Thailand, and the food in Thailand was a bit better overall, but loved Cambodia a lot, the people are beautiful!!!!!
It may be quiet during this time as many ppl are traveling back home to their families for Pchum Ben holiday. It’s similar to Day of the Dead where they celebrate their ancestors.
I was in Phnom Phen during the beginning of the festival. It was so much people so it was impossible to move. And already then I had a weight of 100 kg, I left for Bangkok and sitting in a bar in the afternoon, checking internet, I read about the catastrophe. Me and Cambodia did not need that. I had just had my best travel in my life, met wonderful people, experienced things that I had never done before, also seen the killing fields and the school that turned into a torture prison. However, I was in a good mood leaving Cambodia, but when I got the news, I cried. And now, I cry again.
Thank you Chai for wondering around Phnom Penh, it`s a city with interesting mix and vibes, - but Diamond Island seems a bit out of range.... Iol ! We spent one day in Phnom Penh and it was surprisingly awesome !Have a great travel back to Indonesia👍❣can`nt wait to see Java...
Nice 👍😊❤ video chai, i think in every country there is crowded chaotic filthy dirty are there on one side and the other side is there a elite area or elite town posh area rich and powerful people business man politician residing there, like in whole mumbai it is chaotic dirty filthy city and on the other side there is one place completely different, im so happy you are going with your mom to find your roots, best of luck ❤
People said that it's a ghost town because no people on the street. Do they expect to see people walking under the rain during Pchum Ben festival which is the holiday and most people went to the provinces already? haha.
Do you see how you have to bend down in the tuk tuk in order to see out and film outside? Tuk tuks are uncomfortable. Just choose the Remourk on Grab or PassApp instead of the tuk tuk. Its a more comfortable ride and you dont have to bend over to see out. The difference in price is MAYBE 50 cents (2000 riel).
Hia I don't think I've ever commented before. I have watched you a lot over the last few months...I'd just like to say I really enjoy your upbeat attitude...it keeps me watching....your doing a great job. I'm looking at going to.. da nang, sometime soon. Take care my friend. Martin bristol england
Diamond island looks like some another country....very european influences in architecture. and no people on streets... rich people hiding in their luxury houses? 😁
That is not my experience. They often come to talk to me (I'm western) when waiting for coffee for example. Asking where I'm from and like to talk about latest news about my country etc. It's like they want to practise their English lol

It is one of the richest areas in Phnom Penh, most people are Khmer Upper Middle Class, Chinese Businessmen and tourists.
I found the food to be more expensive than in Thailand, and the food in Thailand was a bit better overall, but loved Cambodia a lot, the people are beautiful!!!!!
Thanks again mate :) 🤗

Thank you 🙏
7 0 , 0 0 0 already - - - CONGRATULATIONS
🥳 Haha! Thank you for being part of this journey 🥰
You said that it is your lady in Cambodia. Where are you going? Are you leaving Cambodia forever?
I’m leaving Cambodia yes. Thailand and Indonesia are next. I’ll definitely be back to Cambodia some day soon too 🤗
@@Chai_Travel I’m sorry to ask. How do you make money while traveling to cover for expenses?
@@vsonic86 no worries, I’m making money of RUclips at the moment 😊 I’m coving the cost now but it took a few years to be where I am now 😅💪
@@Chai_Travel congratulations
@vsonic86 thank you 😊
11:40 that is sales gallery for projects mainly in Sihanoukville
Do you find issues with dengue fever and other mosquito viruses? How sick do people really get?
Some people do end up in hospital what I know of it. I sometimes here there are a few cases of dengue yes 😅
Not a big deal, at worst just a few days at the hospital.
Diamond island looks like some another country....very european influences in architecture. and no people on streets... rich people hiding in their luxury houses? 😁
Haha I’m sure it will develop a bit more over the next few years. It was the worst day filming ☔️🤪 I’d love to go back some day whenever it’s sunny
It's Pchum Ben's day lasts for 3 days, Cambodians visit their home town + it's raining.
Because It's biggest Holliday here. People went to their hometown alr.
As a cambodian/Australian I'd tell u that only 2% of the rich or elite will interact with u but most of them r pretty much rude or assholes
That is not my experience. They often come to talk to me (I'm western) when waiting for coffee for example. Asking where I'm from and like to talk about latest news about my country etc. It's like they want to practise their English lol
@@pp-bf2ec normal people will talk to u yes, but most elites won't ur getting it mixes up between locals and elites and some rich
@@sarornsom1531not true… I met many polite rich Cambodians…
Not true。 you may meet only the newly rich a$$hole. In Cambodia, they are not super rich nor poor. Real rich people are nice.
It won't be my chose of words 🙏 Thanks for watching though :)
Nice 👍 the rich appear less approachable than the working class ;)
Haha yes as usual 🤪 but to be fair I didn’t really have a chance to interact due to the limited time and the weather. Thanks again champ 😁
