This reminds me of my teenage year. I was once an orphan in a refugee camp in Thailand back in 1980. As a child I survived the killing field and the war at the border camp between Cambodia and Thailand. These people deserve a better life. Thank for showing the world their plight.
@Peternhim7127 My father was working for the UN as a helicopter pilot and was based close to a refugee camp close to Sakeo or Sa kaeo in Thailand, close to Cambodia. They wanted to fly refugees out from Cambodia into Thailand but the Khmer Rouge did not accept that and threatened to shot down the helicopters. He also saw thai soldiers beating the khmer refugees with their rifels. Almost 40 years later I went to Cambodia and saw the famous killing field outside Phnom Phen and the school that was converted into a torture instituion. But, I got to love the country and the people after one month of traveling around the country! I got back to Bangkok, from where I was going to fly home to Sweden. I read about the catastrophe in Phnom Phen were at least 395 people died during a festival the same day I left Cambodia. i cried. For that and for the latest history of the country. Life is not fair. And for Myanmar, it is even worse.
@ Ansolutely Chai. I feel like I am born again. There is not a single day that goes by that I don’t think about it and thanks God for not only spared my life but giving me a great opportunity to live in this great nation which I now called home. I do hope these refugees will get the same opportunity as I did.
@@jonasjohnsson4429I watched a documentary on RUclips and it shows footage from probably the same camp. There were some British doctors working at the camp and they were trying to stop the Thai Army from putting the refugees on buses and driving them back to the border, forcing them at gunpoint to walk through a minefield back into Cambodia.
Kaeo! Thanks so much for your support! It was a nice to meet you on the call we've just had! Have a great evening. Sending my regards also to your dad of course 🥰
@@Chai_Travel You are most welcome! It was great to meet and share stories and discuss mine and your plans for life in the future. I appreciate your insights mate. Thanks from dad and myself. 🙏
Incredible work Chai. I thought I was watching a National Geographic investigative journalism show. Very informative and top notch editing. You really brought this situation to a great light for all of us to see. I know this content is not what you usually do, but wow you really hit a home run on this one!
Thank you for your kind words and support! 🙏❤️ It’s something I wanted to do already for a long while. I’m glad you enjoyed it and hopefully the video will get a lot of views and were able to go again sometime later this year 🙂 have a great evening 🙏 Sawaadee Krap
Wow, very sad. When all the children sang We are the World, well that was a real tear jerker. Those lyrics are so meaningful and not really where they are heading or have been heading for pretty much all of their young years however they clearly are so so trying to be positive for their future. No child deserves to be raised in poverty like that. The Civil war surely must come to its conclusion at some stage and in the meantime they need all the support they can get. Excellent work that you guys in the video are doing. Great work Chai. 🤩
Thank you. And yes mate. I was standing there with tears in my eyes when they were singing this song. I really hope for a bright future for them ❤️ Thanks again Steven🙏 Sawadee krap
I've visited couple of these camps, and have had some connection to the Karen for many years. They are the most diligent, adaptable people I've ever met. They know how to do the best they can despite such dangerous conditions. Amazing people.
Thanks for donating and showing around the camp.✨ I've always wanted to visit the camps too. Karen people are so resilient and humble. Btw, you look amazing in Karen traditional cloth.✨
Amazing video Chai 🙏 humbling & special - the camp itself is obviously poor but it seems very clean and the people living there embrace and take care of what they have with what they can . The two local men you spoke & the lady were wonderful to listen to , Great English & still able to smile amongst their own troubles . Appreciate the video & of course your efforts to help 🙏✔️👌👋👍😎🙏
Thanks for showing your appreciation 🙏😊❤️ it was a very special trip and hopefully we’re able to make another trip later this year. Have a great evening champ 🙏❤️🏆
👏👏👏Chai, a great video showing the plight of Myanmar displaced citizens. As someone born in Burma Rangoon, this situation is so sad and unacceptable. No Country is helping them at all. These are peaceful people, they never wanted to carry arms. The Military has ruled over Burma for more than 65 years now.
Hi bro, if you ask me why I moved to Thailand refugee camp. My answer was, I moved to Thailand refugee camp because my house was burnt by Burmese solider. They also threatening us that if we're still living in our village they would kill you. Even we didn't want to flee to another countries, we had to do that for our safety or survival . Living in Thailand refugee camp was extremely hard because we didn't have any opportunities to go out of the camp. Our lives in the camp quite similar like a bird in the cage. Sometimes it is really hard for me to prove my identity. I'm Karen but the whole world doesn't recognize my nationality. If I said I'm Thai either Burmese I don't have any illegal documentation or birth certificate that can prove my identity. This is the hardest answer for me every time when I come across.Anyway, thanks for helping my Karen people. May 2025 fill you with love, peace, health and prosperity 🤞🤞
Good work. Interesting to see how the refugee's life. Wish them all the best, although some disturbing news today: "Refugee hospitals on the Thai-Myanmar border affected by US aid freeze. Some have proposed closing the camps altogether"
Just as you told me in december mate realy awesome job. All the little things help, way to go Uber Champ 🙏👊 And as always, C Ya in the next one, cheers 🍻
I lived in the biggest refugee camp in Thailand and there are a lot of people in need but some are just opportunists. They got good amount of money 🤑💰 and they lived their best life. Back in Myanmar where i lived in my village, they didn't get any donations like that. Compared to my village in Myanmar, Refugee people are living their best life than my people in the village. 😢
I’m sure there are a lot of people who are looking for a better life. Just the fact that some villages are now gone because of bombings or threats are very saddening to me and I’m happy that some people get the opportunity to go to a camp like such camp I’ve shown. I’m glad to tell you we were also able to go into Myanmar this trip to support the locals inside of Myanmar 🙏
Such a lovely village super clean good amazing lovely kind peoples, i wish them a good and peaceful life ahead ❤ 🌸💕🌺✌ Thanks for sharing Chai with us, i Can donate through your link right?
So cute when they sang We Are The World. I remember that was the hit song 40 years ago in America when I was a teen. It gave me a powerful impression we were going to unite the world in peace and prosperity which we thought of as the New World Order, but it was all just a big ruse of hypocrites for chaos and war is her foreign policy. This world is sad.
It is so nice kind of you to show some love and help the refugees people of thailand or Myanmar.thanks a lot of your curiosity because when our refugees people get sent back home from the USA where not going to have the chance to go back home to where we was born and raised but to Laos only smh sad.
The first thing that shows when anyone exposes the human tragedy of civil war is; are they genuine or just seeking algorithm numbers. I believe humanitarian work is a genuine concern for you, Chai. Something you are destined to carry on. Please don't take this personally, but I really couldn't give a rat's if a tourist prefer Bangkok to Phnom Penh. I couldn't give a rat's what tourists prefer to eat while refugees are struggling to feed a family. Your food donation is greatly appreciated 👏

Governments are in the prison .And dictator is illegally ruling.Currently every States and regions except Yangon and Naypitaw regions are in war.
@zatzat8895 Thanks for telling me this. So sad.
This is a video of 5 minutes of Sky News which explains roughly what is going on in Myanmar at this moment: ruclips.net/video/Vv3oh_--FS8/видео.html
@@Chai_Travel Thank you, I've watched the video. So sad. The army shouldn't serve the government nor someone, but the people. Maybe It's power that makes some people lose their mind.
Tell them to come to England. They'll get a free house, computer, trainers, phone, £500 a week and can break any law with full support of the police.

This is a Myanmar problem not Thailand. Why should we help these Myanmar refugees?
We are all people. The government of Myanmar is not capable to take care of it's own people at the moment.
We are human being. You might help others person's difficult problem because they are refugees.
As human right, we can help as we can, learning from the past and we will do it again. Love from Thailand.
