I too grew up listening to this music. My parents would randomly start dancing & were taught as well. My dad was a Zoot Suiter. ❤ When I hear Big Band music it never fails to bring up memories of my parents dancing & the tears start. I was in marching, pep & stage band for 4 years in HS. I played the Tenor & Alto saxophone. Our HS stage band group put on a performance where we played a few of these songs, I got to play solo for the song "A String Of Pearls". Great memories hearing these songs. May my parents RIP & continue dancing in heaven. 🙏🏻🕊🌹
My parents were in their 20's during the War Years; dad in the Navy, mom in the Marines. They danced to this music. Every now and then when we were growing up, they'd Jitterbug. Watching these kids dance makes me think of my folks during the war years. Thank you for helping me to remember my parents were young once and what they were like.
My folks used to jitterbug in our living room when all of us kids were growing up. It was so much fun. There wasn't that much room in front of the t.v. for them to dance on, but they made it work.
My parents, who met at a USO during WW 2, also danced the jitterbug. My mom once told me that wouldn't have married a man who couldn't dance. I have a fond memory of them dancing the jitterbug in our living room for us kids when I was growing up. 😅

This was my airport. I haven't lived in Colorado in almost a decade but seeing something as beautiful as a flashmob in the airport in my hometown makes me so happy.
Watched this so many times. First time just over 2 years ago and after watching if for the first time, I wanted to dance so badly! I was so not the type of person to want to learn how to dance, but plucked up the courage and asked my wife to come to Lindy Hop dance lessons. I can honestly say it's the best thing I have ever done, we absolutely love dancing now. So, thank you soo much for posting this, you changed our lives :D
Keep the faith, brother!
I wish this would start happening all over the world right now!! We definitely need it!! Nothing like music and dance to bring people together!!
This was awesome! I'm glad that there are folks younger than me that remember that dancing isn't done in lines.
Except for the Charleston
yes, and all of the other ones done in lines over the last few hundred years
Oh my goodness I love to see these Flash Mod Dances. They look like these young people are enjoying themselves. I like how the people watching are enjoying themselves too!! For a few minutes all is good in the world. Thanks guys.
Watching the Swing Dancers, sure brings back Happy Memories for me.
Loves the smiles on the faces of everyone!
Awe... That was so Cool💞👏. I cried, they were so young, Bless their Hearts:. Watching them Dance brought me Joy😂 Thank You😍
As a woman who does salsa dancing, there is nothing sexier than a man who can dance! Look at these hotties. You guys did great.
I remember watching my parents dancing in the living room like this ( except for the throws)when I was young (1970’s) and I learned how . A wonderful memory of them.
Don't get no better than this. Made a lot of folks happy and gave them something to remember and talk about for the rest of their lives. Would love to have been there.
There is a HUGE Lindy Hop scene throughout the world! I'm sure whatever city you live in has a local scene. They are everywhere, check one out!
This was awesome such a beautiful era
Look at the smiles on the audiences faces... until they miss their flights
reviving the 40s dance style is so cool to watch. Love the jivin
Great old songs and nice to see some of the younger generation appreciates good music and the talent from that day. Great dancing by the way,,,
When the HOP dance show came on TV my brother and I were in 2nd & 3rd grades. We watched and did our best to learn , we had so much fun , it was a great experience for us "little " kids back then.
This brings joy and smiles to heart! Absolute love it! We need MORE OF THIS!!!
Agreed.
Watching this in 2021. A history class of what was normal in 2011. Mine you I could go back before 2001 & remember those days. But I would end up in the fetal position crying & who wants that.
