He cracked a smile a few times, and he usually laughs at people jokes.. she bothered the hell out of me though
She already responded by explaning you sit through rehersals etc and was just tired, nothing to be upset over lol, she just didn't laugh, which is okay.
Not like she heckles him or said a single negative thing about his preformance

Why does anybody even care what that girl thinks? She’s just somebody there to play the guitar. I don’t care if she didn’t laugh to me she just didn’t get the jokes. But I thought this monologue was brilliant.
Norm MacDonald says if you didn't get the joke you don't even get to not like it anyway, and I've always liked that outlook lol
Monologue was pretty good, we care because its rude to our guy. Not saying she has to sit there and crack up at every joke, but at least crack a smile, dont look like you hate being there💯
It's politics. SNL is left leaning. Shane sounds right, sooo.... they can't laugh.
Think shane sounds more down the middle most times.. think the problem was they had no idea who he was, and was trying to figure out his humor. He couldnt get off the way we are used to him doing because obviously he is on tv. Wish he had a better crowd heather

Exactly!! I think it’s also unfair to judge/resent somebody for something they said years ago as a new comic trying to find their voice. If only every offensive thing anybody ever said was recorded and uploaded. Doubt they’d be so quick to throw daggers at others 😂

I have to disagree, my family and I were laughing our butts off during the monologue but not everyone is into edgy comedy. You might be more of a Nate Bargatze person :) nothing wrong with that.
He definitely didn't bomb. It's just he stays on a lot of the same topics which might be old to you but new to the snl audience

Love you guys, but yeeeah...not interested watching this knowing the controversy about him at the time when making not funny racist Asian jokes on another podcast which overshadowed the fact that SNL hired the first Asian comedic and him at the time. And making non-apology apology. That's why he was fired.

This why Saturday night live is not the better than madtv madtv is the best show that one n living color if he was on madtv they will love shane they will let him say anything he want n the crowd will love it Saturday night live crowd bored n tired be honest i love shane stand up i fuck with his stand up he funny as hell but Saturday night live dont have too many black people there but he was in the good doing stand up he had a good crowd laughing 😂
