Thank you Jeff for showing this one. It brings back a lot of childhood memories as my parents owned a 56 Montclair. You are correct that the rear armrest does fold down also the Mercury man emblem just above the armrest also lights up when the doors are opened. Ah, the sweet song of that 312 y-block at full throttle as a 72-year old I still can hear it in my thoughts. As always take care, my friend.
Another fun video. Especially fun for me.... In Dec. of 2012 I bought from Country Classics Cars a 1956 Mercury Montclair. A 2-toned Blue on Blue 2dr hardtop! I still own it. My dad was a hauler of Mercurys built at the Hazelwood, Mo. plant.( Then called Robertson, Mo.) My Mercury was built in St. Louis at the Mercury plant and it is VERY possible he hauled it to it's first destination! If not him, then a co-worker for sure! I was 7 yrs. old then & was 63 yrs. old when I discovered it at Country Classics. THANKS for posting this one 'RamblinAround'!!
That is really a cool looking ride. It would look so good sitting on my garage. I always liked the 56 Mercury. It was also a nice color combination. Thank you for that review.
Good morning, Jeff! This is one of my favorite cars I have ever seen! What I liked the most was the beautiful detailing and trim! And the roomy inside has always been a favorite for me ! Rat fink and the airplane hood ornament is cool too! It’s a beautiful car! Thanks for the upload! 👍
I hope that it still runs good. Those Y blocks were good performers and did have a tone of their own. Were I the man I was in my thirties, it would be sitting in my driveway for sure. Might want to do a will it start on a few of them as it doesn't hurt to keep em rolling.. the 59 fairlane was my favorite tho
Stunning mercury, gourgeus car absolutly awsome, inside Nice and tidy motor big and powerfull, 🎶 the t shirts came yeasterday, wow they Are just so awsome, My son Jimmi and I have Them on and showing Them to the family, cool 😎, thanks jeff and Jordan 😊 from tom 🤟 your friend now and always 🤩, PS i AM gonna order more shirts
My uncle had the 56 Merc Monterey 2-dr in this same color combination, including the same seating design front and rear. I always remember that car as it seemed sporty compared to my parent's 57 Monterey 4-dr hardtop with back & white 2-tone treatment and included the rear fender skirts (I was never a fan of the look with them on the car).
I forgot to ask, who made mercury ford or gm have a great weekend jeff and Jordan asher Sam and beans erika, from tom your friend now and always 🤩 could paint asher and beans together
Muy bonito por fuera pero el interior del motor deja mucho que desear hay óxido un filtro de aire raspado las tolvas de las salpicaderas sucias un carro así merece un cuidado general
This Mercury Is Not Only My Favorite Car From 1956 But It's Also One Of The Cars With The Best Color Combos I've Seen.

We had the same car, same color, 292, 3 on tree, when I was about 14 and I learned to drive it on the gravel roads of Iowa.

THIS CAR IS SUPER TIGHT & GORGEOUS. HOW MUCH FOR SWEET HEART CAR 🚗
That Kustom would be a ripper with a Rousch or Shelby transplant in there.
