Had a few of these fly over my place in Bicester, Oxfordshire on a few occasions. The drone of those props is unmistakable, even at 20-odd thousand feet!
i too have had them fly over my city in denmark and its extremly loud and cannot be mistaken even when it is at aove 10k feet, i think the one i saw was at around 15k according to flightradar24 and adsb exchange
One flew over Kildare (Cluj, Romania to Shannon) and I thought it was a bombing run from WW2. Sounded like 2000 feet but Flightradar24 showed it at 24,000 feet - amazing sound!
I live extremely close to POS (Piarco International Airport in Trinidad & Tobago) I have the unique talent of identifying every type of aircraft that may land just based on sound. This was a new one for me, I had no idea what the hell just flew over me but I could tell it was a piston driven and LOUD. Checking flightradar24, it was one of these!! So freaking cool. I drove by the airport today just to see it. What a beautiful bird. No idea how the hell one ended up in Trinidad but I was happy to see it still in service!
Came here for flightradar.. heard something very loud, thought a private plane flying low. No, it was a Cavok Air at 22k ft flying to Algeria.. insane!
One of those just flew over my house in UK. It's midnight and I found the drone sound to be amazing. Flightradar24 showed 20k ft and unknown destination...
One of these just flew over my house about 10 min. ago. Flight was going to Kansas City from St. John's. You could see how red it was. Ran in and looked on Flight Tracker. Nice to see something unusual.
your not kiddin lol, i could see the rocks an sticks flying out the hot exit of those jets from that awful fuel they have, im shocked they ran that good with fuels like that running thru them.
The same here.. last week in Frankfurt area.. I was wondering what is so loud at 3 am at night. Checked the flight radar - there it was. on 7000 ft : loud as fuck..:)

Just had this baby fly straight over my house. It's midnight as I'm writing this. Heard the unusual sound, thought it may be military but found it wasn't on flight radar. 23,000ft and making an awesome sound 😎
It's literally just flown above me now at 22:40 hrs in Southport heading north and it was the sound that made me check on flight radar what it was. Come from Casablanca and heading for Prestwick
I am gutted, this plane just flew over my house at 21000ft . I thought it was just a Turbo prop from our Ireland West Airport but I should have known the noise was so different, that beautiful loud hum , but I was working indoors on this glorious sunny clear sky day 😭 My rural area has a wonderful advantage for spotters . We are under the local departures which take off in a westerly direction and then mostly veer south south/east for UK and Europe . Or often planes are on a go around and just cruise by in a semi circle, and add to that we are under the most used north Atlantic route. Which brings me back to this beauty I just missed, Liverpool to St John's , it's a very rare route for it.😭 I hope I can catch it on the return 😭😭😭😭🙏🙏
Haha. No emission control! But seriously this thing got air born in abnormally short run off and time. What is that they feed their engines? Vodka in the cocktail mix?
Just fly past my house over 27k feet, London. I just had to look up on flightradar24 what the heck is that sound. First I was thought that it is a military C-130 but not. It was AN-12B from Sarajevo to Birmingham.
Heard this a few times, sounds like a military cargo plane (which I understand it used to be?). Very loud, latest occurrence 31st dec flying from West Midlands to Luxembourg . Shame i didn’t see it too
An-12BP (UR-CAK) has just nearly took the tiles off my roof (only a slight exaggeration) as it followed the flightpath for landing at Liverpool LPL. We get great views of planes but its always the usual A319, A320, 737 or the odd prop. Even then they're only from a few airlines (easyjet, Ryanair etc). So when this strange looking thing come over we noticed. What is it used for? Looked dumpy, as if for cargo but seemed to have windows. Any info would be appreciated!
OMG this looks like one of the aircraft i did my engineer apprenticeship on 😂😂😂 no side stick, fly by wire or data trackers here! I wonder if its even got TCAS?
Ruby Star Cargo fly these; flew over my house this morning in Essex on its way to Birmingham. Sounded like someone play a dying trumpet on my roof. Was 5 miles above me.
When was this? I didn’t know Aircraft of this category were still allowed to operate in MAN. Or Europe for that matter. Great to see though! I flew on one in Ukraine once (Kiev to Simferopol in the Crimea.) One of those things I wanted to try one time (but one time only!) It was Crimean Air & overbooked but for an extra 50 bucks the skipper took me through a side gate. I was hoping it meant the jump seat but they gave me someone else’s seat and put him up there instead. No doubt he paid an extra 50 for that as well. All in cash, straight to El Capitano!!!
Very frequent UK visitors at the moment, primarily to Birmingham on car part runs because of the current delays at the UK ports which hold up "just in time" parts for the production lines.2 An12's out of Birmingham have flown over the London area this morning on their way to pick up the next loads.
These things, definitely give the concept of "Off Road", a new meaning... Not sure what I'm trying to come with? Have a look here: ruclips.net/video/ccVozF6Lfq0/видео.html

02:17 what a view nice and smoky
We could track it's smoke trail from space.
Airport closed after that take off for 10 minutes, because of the fog.
These fly over my home city of Waterford, Ireland a lot.
Haha. No emission control! But seriously this thing got air born in abnormally short run off and time. What is that they feed their engines? Vodka in the cocktail mix?
15 minutes ago the same plane has flew over my house
Sound reminds me of the 90's when the Tu95's flew over. It haves the same powerplant as those. Verry noisy indeed!
10 minutes ago the same plane has flew over my house, in Málaga, Spain that fucking sound..
Funny thing i herd the same flight some later. Sound cant be missed !
Its me did you see it at 1:30am was it high I know you hear those mighty engines roaring through the night
I hear that plane evry 2 days at night its so loud man i hate it ...
This plane has been designed to fly using only slow moving ceiling fans. Remarkable.
.. 🤣 🤣 🤣 ....very expensive ceilings Fans
How is that possible? 🤔

Wait, wait wait... Is it just me or those blades aren't spinning fast enough?
its the camera - the camera appears to be showing 1080p@30fps which makes the blades appear to be rotating slower than they actually are.
What was doing an An-12 taking off from an american carrier in WWZ movie?
i like the paint job
Nyasar kemari gara2 pekalongan 🤣
I guess that air traffic has to be closed in the whole area for at least an hour every time that an An-12 takes off, right?...

Does it use diesel & vodka as fuel?
Is all this air pollution from this flying wreckage still allowed in the European sky?

Now that's what you call a " Vodka Burner " makes a B52 look like a party smoker!
Chances are Vodka would burn cleaner!
If they had two stoke engine, I would say to much oil in the mixture, But great to see.
Oil smoke is usually blue but yeah 😂 It's running super rich for some reason

@ 1:02 can anyone say what is that green thing like a 747 in the background, that thing is seen in my airport too, idk what it is, just curious
It's the airport fire service trainer, a sort of mock-up 747/DC-10 hybrid that they practice on
There might be CAVOK in front of this An. Along the trail definitely not... :D
Hahahaha that is the best comment I've seen so far on this video
Why does it smoke like that?Is it normal?
it's normal, i saw 5 of those in the past month and every single one smoked a lot
It's good for 50 years old aircraft.
we have MC-130s, they smoke a lot too when taking off, though not as much
