My review, my opinion. If you don't like it, tough shit! I go into a bit of a rant at the end about the condition of the X-Plus community as of late due to unnecessary complaining. Over all, I love this figure. There has been complaints about the pink in the ears and the nostrils, which is supposed to be there, as intended by sculptor/painter of this exact rendition of Godzilla, Yuji Sakai. Watch the review. Tell me what you guys think. Remember, this is my opinion and you don't have to agree or like what I have to say.

Exactly. Buying...complaining and then selling is NOT collecting and that is what has become of the Godzilla collecting world. It is because Godzilla is very popular right now and this trend started with G14 onward. I get it... its how things roll but it still sucks.

I totally agree with you hear, I've stopped watching some reviews because half the time they sound annoyed that that have the displeasure of reviewing a figure then they ever do sounding happy that they have privilege of being able to collect figures in the first place.
Anyway i'm on the fence about getting this figure, not because of doubting the quality of it or anything, but more so for financial reasons and your video helped, rock on man!

More people join in when there's something to bitch about, whether its warranted or not. Go figure! Where are all the members? Honestly, I do not like jumping into rants and negativity like this but after the release of the Sakai 92 and the SHMA Shin Godzilla, I am like.."C'mon...really?!" because the bitching is just getting ridiculous. If I jumped on the fact that only 213 people voted for FOTY in a group with 2300 people, I am sure i'd get more flack than I already am for this video. I already have 7 dislikes on this video... I hope its from bandwagon collectors. The bandwagon collectors can pack their shit up and leave for all I care. And by bandwagon collectors, I mean the people that order $1000 from Flossies or Vampire Robots and either cancel on these guys selling them or dump their collections only a few months after the release of a figure. I love X-Plus. I love talking X-Plus but the fact that it has become so mainstream now to the point where so called collectors have to take a loss on a figure just to sell it is pretty sucky. I mean, it is great for those that snag these deals at a GREAT PRICE. Only 2 years ago prices were stupid high. So it is one evil or another and I get that. I actually did the exact thing I am bitching about with the X-Plus DragonBall Z figures. I realized I shouldn't/couldn't swing both Godzilla and DBZ collecting so I had to make a choice. I eventually turned those DBZ figures into X-Plus Ultraman figures so I am all out of sorts. Haha.
does x-plus godzilla have light up feature for dorsal plates? you know,the dorsal plates go blue when it's blasting with atomic breath.
Hey Rich, great review! great looking figure, it might be just me but your mike seems a little off? maybe to high? but that might be from downloading the video to youtube? the light up version seems to have a longer neck than the regular version.
Yea, my mic was off this video. I tried to make it cleaner in editing but I screwed something up. It is a little distorted.

i agree that the things people have complained about that you listed don't make sense, but issues in general should be brought up when they are there. if we don't say anything about them, doesn't that risk the chance of them being repeated?

Awesome review rich I don't know why everybody's hating on the 92 Yuji Sakai the scope the paint it looks awesome I don't know what the complaining about the pink in the ears in the nostrils of very very subtle you barely even see in certain lighting. It brings character and death to the figure they just need something to complain about there's a lot of other things in this world that complain about than an awesome figure like that Yuji Sakai 92 get over it people please. Thanks Michael. I need to stay positive. I really hate succumbing to negative crap but sometimes it gets to me. I started collecting with Trendmaster figures back in 1994...thank god new collectors today are fortunate enough to have NECA and SHMA at their disposal. I would have lost my mind in 1994 with a NECA figure because I thought then the Trendmasters were amazing. Anyway, we just have to keep it fun. Nothing is perfect. Thank you for watching sir!

im in the same opinon as rich with the way the xplus market is going i personally love it because i have gotten some great deals because of bandwagoners on figures that unless an emergency situation happens. i think its cool that you are finally addressing this.
I will never knock someone if they have to sell something for a reason that involves adulting. Emergencies happen. I get it. We all splurge. I bought a bunch of X-Plus DBZ figures and realized I couldn't swing GIGANTIC DBZ figures and Godzilla figures so I dumped them and never looked back.

You probably get asked this question a lot, but do you have any advice for young collectors such as myself who want to start getting some X-Plus figures?
Kaiju Adventures my best advice is to save your money and buy the ones you want. Also, jumping on new preorders is the best way to get the best price for a new X-Plus release. Do your homework and ask questions. I'll help you however I can. Bam!
I think the figure is Fresh Rich. Because I have no fucking idea how people complain about this figure. They just don't see how movie accurate this figure is. Like I do think that the 1989 Godzilla is my least favorite out of the Yuji Sakei line but 1991 and 1992 are easily the best so far.
Yep, the 91 is my favorite with the 92 right on its heels. The GMK is third followed by the 89. Now, the 89 does have sloppy teeth. They are not as crisp as the other Sakai releases. That is because its a transfer from resin to vinyl and some detail is lost in that process. Not a big deal to me because I get that is how the process works. But I guess I should just bitch about it! LOL.
It just grinds my gears when they hate on figures that looks exactly how it does in the movies. You made a good point about the pink in Godzilla's Nostrils and Ears they just need to take a much closer look at the suit and the photos of this Godzilla.
I wanted to make a video about that shit, and I'm so SO glad you did because you would obviously get more attention than someone like me, but it pisses me off when I scroll through good ole Facebook and all I see are people acting like f i v e year olds and you said it best, over toys. Yea it is pretty annoying. The SHMA collectors are the biggest complainers out there. But that is how any hobby goes. Of course, this is all just my opinion.

It is not even that, it is just collectors expect perfection ALL THE TIME and shit happens sometimes. Lots of figures being made on a small production window. Prototype is a prototype for a reason. The production run of a product will ALWAYS differ in some way from a prototype.
I wonder if x plus would make a mechagodzilla 2 with the super cannon thing and a kiryu 2002 and 2003 with backpacks
Both Kiryu's have already been made by X-Plus and a 30cm MechaGodzilla 1993 has already been teased. MechaGodzilla 2, are you referring to the 1975 MechaGodzilla?

Ah. Its just MechaGodzilla. The only MG2 is the 1975 one. The 93 is not "MechaGodzilla 2" or "MechaGodzilla II". But yea, it is coming hopefully in 2017. I was teased in the fall.

Imo, both Yuji Sakai and X-Plus, or heck, any figure with extraordinary detail and style gets a pass from me. So much work has been put into them to really bring the character out of the monster. I've been a lurker for your videos but I have to admit that you're very passionate about the good they bring, and it makes you look loads better than the complainers. I can't wait to get one of my own, and judging by this review, this can be a nice starter. ^u^

I should have also added...it seems many don't realize how popular X-Plus is right now and how much their output has increased in the past 2 years. The factories are working twice as hard with smaller production windows..but what does it matter to us, the collector/consumer, it shouldn't matter as we are the ones paying for this product but in my mind...it is something to think about. someone told me the banpresto shin looks better then the xplus....i was like wtf? xplus is not even out yet! but what ever i want the xplus Ric shin but...is my opinion but i think the albatross shin coming out is giving it a run for its money! both are great sculpts but im more excited about the albatross more because of the set.
I agree. From what I have seen of the Albatross...that DOES look really damn good. Can't judge until we have the X-Plus in hand.

There are some legit issues with some releases. It happens. But when there are things that were done by the company by there choosing and collectors complain, that is the stuff that needs to stop. Yuji Sakai is the one who put the pink subtly in the ears and nostrils. So it belongs there. But some people say its a mistake. Thank you for watching. BAM!

I Have 11 Godzilla Figures I Want 30 Or More To Add To My Collection
I would just call this Godzilla (1992-1994) since there is no legit difference between any of the three suits featured in what I like to call the Beam Wars Trilogy.
There are significant differences from the 92, 93 and 94 suits that are easily distinguishable.

I guess my only gripe with the Sakai line is I wish they were legit 30cm scale rather than the 28cm that they check in at but that is just a minor gripe! I hope you enjoy the 92!

Thank god someone acknowledges the rampant complaining. It's like how someone complains about something almost daily on the SAKCG on Facebook, including one of the admins in particular to say the least.
I love this figure and am getting one at the end of this month. I was lucky enough to have a friend who owns two, and it will be my first X-Plus!. Secondly, your opinion counts, and I agree that far too many complain about insignificant things. Keep up the great reviews and sharing these amazing figures!

Rich...great vid, epic rant(we need more of these from you) and yes...the Yuji Sakai 92 is certified FRESH. I own 2 and this figure as I have stated gives my 91 Sakai a run for its money....my rank..91, 92, GMK and 89. As for people complaining about the figure, it is suit accurate and I love the paint job. These toys have a variety of difference and there is something for everyone to enjoy. And if you don't like a toy...DON'T BUY IT. Example...I love the sculpts and articulation of S H MONSTER ARTS...but I hate the fragileness, however I still pick up one I really like at times. Rich, don't apologize, get in their complaining asses.

Ordered this bad boy today, I can't wait until it arrives, I never really cared much about 92s design and I already committed to get all Heisei Yuji Sakai x plus Godzilla, but the more I been studying the design, rewatched the film and looking at images, I'm hype, I can't wait until it comes in and this suit is becoming a favorite the more I study it
great review rich I was a little taken aback at first by the pink in the nostrils and the ears but after your review I appreciate what X Plus does like you said shoot accurate and in this case movie accurate I love the figure I got the standard also because my 75 Mechagodzilla burnt out also LOL
Now, while in the movie, the pink is VERY subtle... but it is there. And that sucks about your MG75 too. But..I am keeping mine displayed with the head on and I was always going to display it like that. I have always had my 25cm MG75 displayed with the brain but regardless...it sucks that it burnt out.

I own only one xplus figure which is a reissue by the way (30cm Godzilla 1984) I love it.... when I saw the 92 figure I fell in love with it, sadly I don't own it, but I'm thinking about ordering it sometime soon, with that being said, from what I've seen from the pictures the figure is awesome no complaints from me
And if you obtain said figure, I would hope you love it. It is a great figure.
I currently own 3 of these 25/30cm Godzillas (1962, 1995, 2004), but tail stands are a deal breaker for me. That's how i stay unpoor when it comes to these figures. Plus, they look better with no ugly stands.

I blame social media for the revolution of people complaining, hating, etc... now because of social media everyone can say whatever they want and have no repercussions. this is where the term "Hater" came from etc... now that's not why social media was created but it's what it's become. I do think social media is a great way to reach out to people. I see nothing wrong with constructive criticism, but just to say something sucks and have no reason is just dumb. Basically I say ignore these people that just want to complain and have real say. if no one responses they'll go away or block them!

Nick Navaro I'm just venting. I don't like venting like this but I really love X-Plus, even with all the flaws and imperfection, because nothing is perfect. Constant complaining ruins the fun.
