Captain. Your wife knows you are a renaissance Man. Great husband, father, fireman, cdl driver, operator, carpenter, mechanic, boat builder, bridge builder, pond builder, etc. you have a very humble self confidence, so I loved your speech to the unhappy group of people that live in their sad, negative world. Don’t lose your sense of humor, btw, great accomplishment on the Triple Nickel

Great job Captain, I have a Ford 550 tlb with 2500 original hrs. on her . I think you mentioned that she has a manifold heater ,once you get your wiring fixed and the manifold heater working she will start allot easier. Your machine turns over slow just like mine. My 550 is a 1976 and I have had it since 1982 and it has always turned over slow even with a new battery, but with the manifold heater and block heater, she starts fine even when its in the single numbers.

Hey Cap'n - greetings from London, England. I'm a long-time subscriber but have not commented so far. However, the joy I felt when you finally got the TripleNickel to fire up and run just made me want to send you my congratulations and praise for a job well-done. I truly admire the way you worked steadily through all the issues, fixing them one at a time (and sometimes twice), to get to where you are now. And, as you said, once you start using it, other issues may come along and you'll deal with those too. What a huge benefit the TN will be to you all around your property on 1001 jobs and projects, so all your patient hard work (and hard-earned cash spent) will be well worth it and soon repaid. Good job all round!!

We had an old backhoe and did the entire rear stick. Over $1,200 in hoses 6 years ago. I may venture in and see if swapping hoses could get you to the operating pattern you want.

It's good to see another old machine saved. I was wondering how you would get on fixing the engine but you have people to ask for advice and you succeeded, It seems to run like a clock, well done. The next thing to decide is whether or not to remove the rust. Doing panel work won't make it go any better so it is what you and your budget want. Like me you have limited funds for these projects and we have to choose were we put our money. I hope it gives you years of good service,

Captain, stay the course! No matter how hard you try, you'll always have the complainers! They have nothing better to do!

Great to see the progress, you missed a spot when pressure washing but no worries, it matches everything else in your yard:) Great content, I look forward to your vid's every week. Clint is a class act and watch his channel religiously every week also.😉

Hi there and you said that you work with junk cos that is all the budget is. Well Mike I feel that that 555 might have looked and smelt like junk a few weeks ago, but with your blood sweat and tears later it is turning out to be a good-looking handy piece of useful junk un-junk. That I am sure will serve you well for a number of years to come. Yep, this has been a learning curve, but you have a far better understanding of the inside workings of this piece of 'yellow iron'. The pressure washing has turned out almost as good as Kevin turns out for Clint. If the controls are back to front to what is comfortable to you, then maybe change the pipework around on each lever that you feel is opposite to your way of operation. But that 555 is a long way away from being a piece of junk now.
Having fun watching the transformation of this project. Like all you do keeps a smile on my face Ignore those that only complain as they are jealous of what you have and just like to find fault with anything and everything, sad people or what. Anyhow, keep doing what you do, keep safe. Regards to family and will send you an e-mail soon to touch base so to speak.
