When the flag slid down the pole, one firework popped. At the time the firework pops, the video is 1:51 seconds in. In Super Mario Bros, if the timer ends in 1, 3, or 6 when finishing a level, that many fireworks appear. This is either coincidence or CRAZY attention to detail.

What would've been hilarious is if when the flag went down, Mario got an extra life and came back... then had to try to explain what was happening only to become so humiliated he jumps to his death or something.
