Yes it's deadly (for a small group of people) but it was more destructive that the government shut businesses down. The virus didn't cause that. The virus didn't say "ok, all small businesses, you need to shut down , and everyone should shop at walmart and Amazon instead." That was purely the decision of overpowered, privileged political officials. They restrict YOU, while they go out and enjoy life amidst our suffering. Gov of California and Colorado for example...

I've legitimately felt super guilty throughout all of 2020 for this exact reason. Job went remote too. So, besides not being able to go out anyplace, my life has barely been impacted at all. It's actually kind of depressing to think about.
It is a bit harder when you are an introvert and have extrovert friends who want to hangout during the pandemic. Like seriously, I just want to stay home and now I also have to worry about getting sick?? Talk about compound pressure

The bar scene during Covid was so weird. Even after restrictions were being lifted folks were crazy aggressive. I remember I went in to a bar to pick up a fish fry I had ordered. I was wearing a mask when I went in there and this dude got hyper offended.
