Finally visited Puffing Billy Railway, Melbourne| Belgrave to Lakeside train return| A family trip|

How much did I pay for the Puffing Billy tickets?
We were 6 adults so I paid 366 AUD
How long was the journey?
You can choose from several train journeys. For me, I only got one option which was 4 hours in total from BELGRAVE TO LAKESIDE RETURN. You can also choose more or less hours journey depending on the time and money you can afford.
Did I like the experience?
YES, I did. It was a unique experience. It's worth the money and fun. Back then, we thought it was getting really boring because we were there for long hours. We also discussed that we should have bought maybe 45 min each way ticket or even less if available. That will be enough.
What is the best side to sit for the view?
As it was the first time for all of us, we didn't know the best side but we managed to swap seats with our parents for the view later. So, the best side is- when you start, be seated on the side where the railway platform is, you can see beautiful sceneries and the popular bridge for the photos and videos.
What clothes to wear?
Wear comfortable clothes, it's really cold in Melbourne so make sure you keep yourself warm. Also make sure, wear clothes that's comfortable enough for you if you plan to hang your legs out of the train.
What about food?
As it's a 3-4 hour train ride, if you have kids make sure to bring something for them to eat in the train. There was a cafe after 2 hour ride- not many options to choose from but the food was not bad.
How much would I rate for the experience?
I rate 10/10 for the beautiful memories I made with my family ❤️
