This is what i thought Avowed would look like after the initial announcement trailer
Exactly
I would keep an eye on Awaken Realms TBH. They are slowly creeping their way from legendary board game status to game dev as well. These guys feel like what Bethesda has lost with $$$ and their CEO isn't a bighead like Todd. Marcel is really killing it and can't wait to see what they do into the future.
Plus no Sweet Baby inc wokie agenda 🤡 💩 in the game.
Like almost all AAA" games now.
"It's MAM!"🌯
Just got this for my Deck this morning. Love it so far. Much better than anything Beth has been able to do in ages.
What's performance like? Considering pulling the trigger on this for the Deck as well but I'm always a bit wary of games like this as they are either hit or miss.
this as the perfect Exploration/Combat/Lore ratio.
You learn about the Lore and the world throught exploration and interactions with NPC's or stuff you read or find around.
The NEED for Exploration makes you go through fights,a nd the player agency is enough that you can enjoy the fights even the hard ones.
The game is hand offs it doesn' take you by the hand, you figure stuff out.
And the game as that "Charm" that signature ambiance and feel that new AAA games try hard to replicate but they fail.
havent seen this game before, i ll give it a try! thanks for the video fextra
Just grabbed the board game on Amazon. Can't wait to play.
Downloaded the demo, excited to try it out.
Haven't checked out this new adaptation but I love the board game, this looks much better than what they did in their first attempt. For people wanting to try the board game I would recommend the kings of ruin box as they streamlined some rules and made it less grindy than fall of Avalon.
Ive been waiting for this update! Played the demo, loved it so much I purchased early access, wanted to experience more of the game so I put it down. Can't wait to update today and give her another whirl!!
This game looks beautiful.
I really like this game, it is that kind of game that have soul and depth .
Already played act 1 a few months ago, will play it at release. It was a really fun game and the melee combat was more enjoyable than skyrim, not super complicated but a few more mechanics like different moves that you can execute.
Devs really love the word “fall” & “fallen” 😂
Another game I’m looking forward to is: TMNT The Last Ronin. I hope it capitalizes its dark side storytelling with only one brother survivor avenging his family death. Hopefully it gets an M rating
Nice. Cant wait for release.
This game looks Beautiful it’s basically Skyrim Dark Fantasy version.
looks great!
I've had my eye on this one, and it looks interesting. I like that exploration seems to be such an important part of the game. Still, I'm going to wait for a full release before considering a purchase.
Another great indie highlight. Rising tides lift all ships! Great job guys.
Unless their budget is slowing development, it does not seem to be a downside to the game. I am a long time fallout fan going back to 1 and 2 and I really enjoy this game. The only complaints I have had were due to not understanding certain things and one change with the patch where a quest marker seems to be in the wrong place now.
Any plans for console release? Maybe you said and I missed it. Imma keep my eye on it though
Great vid❤
I have high hopes for this game.
Very cool
After this last update. I picked it up again. And I can Confirm, it's a lot of fun.
Has those Skyrim vibes going for it to. Plus Nice graphics. And actually runs decent now.
I'd like to see more content added and Devs keep improving the performance!? And keep up the good work 👍
Tried the demo yesterday, actually, to review some of the games from Steam's "Open World Survival Crafting Fest". Wasn't expecting to like anything I played because I don't care for that genre, but Skyrim was fun and I guess games like it technically count lol. Fall of Avalon pushes a lot of my buttons, so I'm definitely gonna keep an eye on this one! I wonder how far my usual "Bethesda build" - stealth archer with one's knees permanently locked in a crouch - could take me in this.
Something feels weird about the Perspective/camera. Like fisheye effect. Is it set to a higher FOV then usually?
Are all enemies walking slowly towards you?
This and Wayward Realms has a massive hype
Open world RPG that doesn't hold your hand
Needs a lot more work yet, but ill keep my eye on it
Playing this since Tainted Grail (Original one "Qonquest"), the music the representation is perfect. Love playing summoner class, in the qonquest summoner was on of the best/broken/op class but in avalon summons are stupid -_- I hope they fix the pet AI quickly. Game is blast, must play.
Can anyone tell me where r the stones for upgrading my weapons?
Took you some time to use "push" I see^^ pretty consistent control tutorial
When will you guys be live more miss watching you guys
when is this game releasing, also when is the release for ps5?
Still waiting to behold how a 1st person melee combat game should be done by fromsoft with a kingsfield remake or new game. None of this fprpgs have combat compelling or deep enough to pass for more than a counter strike fantasy flavored knife and gun loadout. Kingsfield and shadow tower were ahead of the competition in gameplay but bugthesdas random generated prefabricated garbage got recognition instead. Im truly not living in the correct timeline.
If you like the first board game you should really try and pick up the newest one. It streamlines a lot of things from the first one and gives some nice qol improvements
So this one rings a bell, but I just don't remember it. It looks very Skyrim-y. Which I mean as a compliment.
The one thing I love about Skyrim is I can live in it. What I mean is get followers, get a wife, get a house, build a house. I can then leave and when I come back, my world is still there with all my friends and family and horses and pets.
Skyrim really makes you feel like you're a part if the world. The combat is a little simple, but that's not what the games about. Plus you can mod the combat.
If this game has those elements and will be moddable. I'm def gonna get it.
Wow
Didn’t they say that in the full release you’d have to reset all your progress. That’s what’s putting me off buying it.
Don’t want to have to complete the game twice in a sense, to see the ending.
How is there no dismemberment in a game like this??
I've been playing the demo a bit, and while the game looks promising in ways, the fighting is lack luster to me. The swords are very basic, only a couple different moves you can do with them, and the spells are meh... I think this game could def be great but I don't think it's there yet, at least in my opinion.
When you gonna add more v rising content...?
fextralife.com/guides/v-rising-guides/ I made them into articles
@@Fextralife ah that's all you have? I alrdy gone over those and started raiding the wiki.
Firsttt
This game looks way too easy
This looks horrible... why is there excitement?
This doesn't even look good for an indie project...
Clearly you haven’t played. Graphics aren’t everything
@@Fextralife so says every influencer who reps shoddy flash in the pan indie games. Im just asking a simple question? Its like barely better looking than Morrowind with similarly dated animations. Wheres the hook?
@@hankskorpio5857 Barely better looking than Morrowind.?
That is such a bad faith argument, I can't even give you the benefit of the doubt. I know this looks better than Morrowind because I just started my first graphically modded playthrough of Morrowind and this game looks much better than Morrowind. Balmora looks like ass compared to the locations in this video.
Hell, it even looks better than vanilla Skyrim AE.
If you're gonna dunk on any game's graphics, surely you've got better examples.
The hook is in the stuff that everyone complains big companies and franchises are losing: the "soul" of the game. You can get excellent graphics and animations from Ubisoft yearly games, but they lack uniqueness, charm, individuality. This game is a passion project from a very small indie studio, the small details are there and the ticks for oldschool mechanics that I like are there too (such as use a weapon to master it, etc). I LOVE good graphics, I really enjoy them, but I also don't put an entire game's value on whether it looks dated or not. Your way of thinking is why Sony cancelled publishing of Demon's Souls, and see how that turned out for them
