Short term it's bad. And by short term I mean like 5 years. Long-term is a big question mark. The EU was definitely an undemocratic system but economically and politically speaking, they haven't done anything that really harms the UK at all. That doesn't mean the EU wouldn't have made some shit laws in the future that have real impact. There are plenty of laws/regulations that negatively impact certain areas of the UK but the overall net gain from being in the EU was definitely positive. Some people think the UK will become like Switzerland as soon as it adopts unbridled free trade. But the UK will never become some great bastion of free trade, especially as long as the EU exists and those who believe it'll become like Switzerland have delusions of grandeur. I'm a fan of unbridled free trade but I highly doubt the UK will ever adopt it which means they'll always be in the same situation as they are now.

my mum works at a vets centre and they had a kestrel brought in that had been hit by a car, it wasnt too badly hurt except for a sprain and being very disorientated so they kept it there and took care of it for 2 weeks.
when they went to release it they stepped out back to the private carpark (so as to avoid the main road) and let it fly out of their hands, it managed to get about 20 feet across the carpark until it flew straight into the fence post at the end of the car park and knocked itself out cold and got a concussion, it then had to spend another 2 weeks in care until it was then released in a field far away from chest high fences, can honestly say that i haven't laughed that hard since that day XD

Now this is just second hand information but I've been told Bregret is just a media scare and only a very small percent of people who voted leave regretted it. only about 53% of the young voter base actually voted and most of them were remain while most of leave was older voters which ~80% of voted, so I find the whole "I only voted leave because I thought it wouldn't happen" story a bit far fetched, I mean who would be so stupid as to vote for the opposite result of what you want unless you were an immature teenager trying to be funny? I can believe some people are that stupid but if as many people as they say actually feel that way, regretting their decision to vote leave when they actually wanted to remain, then I think Britain's future is going to have a lot more problems to deal with than just leaving the EU. I've also heard Spain say they'll veto Scotland if they try to reenter the EU so if they break off from Britain and try to rejoin the EU they're going to be up shits creek without a paddle because only one country needs to veto your attempt to join the EU for you to be denied.

Trumpet didn't exactly create something. Creating something and getting successful is starting a fire by rubbing sticks together, Trump used oil and a lighter. Yes, he is successful, but he was rich to begin with. He has an incredible ego and has said many racist things which lost him money in sponsorships because companies don't want to be associated with him. Being a legal immigrant has nothing to do with it, it's the fact that basically everything Trump does is controversial and when you do that many controversial things, people will have different opinions.

Short term it's bad. And by short term I mean like 5 years. Long-term is a big question mark. The EU was definitely an undemocratic system but economically and politically speaking, they haven't done anything that really harms the UK at all. That doesn't mean the EU wouldn't have made some shit laws in the future that have real impact. There are plenty of laws/regulations that negatively impact certain areas of the UK but the overall net gain from being in the EU was definitely positive.
Some people think the UK will become like Switzerland as soon as it adopts unbridled free trade. But the UK will never become some great bastion of free trade, especially as long as the EU exists and those who believe it'll become like Switzerland have delusions of grandeur. I'm a fan of unbridled free trade but I highly doubt the UK will ever adopt it which means they'll always be in the same situation as they are now.

I'm really surprised neither Ryan or Geoff said anything about how the value of the pound dropping would affect us. Besides a shift in the global economy, a lot of American companies put their employees' retirement into offshore accounts. Luckily my aunt took out her retirement earlier this year, as her company had her retirement in pounds, and would be almost gone if she had waited.
