I find something about Lily's last words strangely poetic. "I don’t wanna die." How many people do you think have said exactly that to her? How many times was she perfectly comfortable ignoring them? And she thought the plea that she ignored so, so many times was going to save her ass?
You know something neat that happens with the subtitles in this game?
Through it all, each character gets a specific color for their own subtitles. Clem’s is white.
When you start playing as AJ and see Clem again, her subtitles are now pink like they used to be in season 1 when she was an NPC. It’s AJ’s that are white now when you play as him.
There’s a cool connection you can draw here, which is that now with her crippling disability, she’s going to have to let other people take care of her to an extent. She’s free from the heaviest burdens of being forced for so long from such a young age to take agency in traumatic and horrible situations. She’s released from the overbearing burden of having to make such difficult or even impossible choices. The game’s choice mechanic design reflects this, where more and more what you choose to say will not directly dictate AJ’s actions, to the point where he completely disregards whatever your final choice as Clementine is in favor of making a better one. And then you playing as AJ get to assure her that she did all she could and that’s okay.
thats actually really interesting
I remember playing this year's back now and literally crying at clems "death" one of the only characters I've cared for that much and was so happy she lived and got the "Happy" ending, missing a leg sucks but for some surviving is winning and for clem seems like that's exactly her personality. Winning no matter the cost
Same dude, I was howling when she “died”
Im happy that shes only missing her shin part, Like she still has her knee and she can wiggle her leg around with that and she didnt lose her whole leg. So she'll still be pretty capable if she gets the right tools and the right leg so she can still run and if they do more with her and im not talking about those fan fiction comics that def aren't canon, She can have a cool ass barbed wire leg. or wtv u call it i hope you understand
@@vensuia that would suck when it’s time to go to sleep
@@1212x_O maybe she could take it off, idk I never made it that far I was just thinking about a apocalyptic style leg that would make her mobile and look cool asf 😂
I was not wanting for her to die so quickly, that scene had me in absolute tears bro
I love how when we swap over to AJ's choices, it's "is she serious?" And "I won't tell him I'm mad" it's like we are inside AJ's head and we're seeing what he's thinking
You have no idea how long I’ve been waiting for this episode
Preach it, brother! Me too
i say it every time but ive been waiting for this one!
facts
4 months?
I was just about to say this. Just got off work and got so excited
I think season 4 is the best out of the series, the only real thing I like to nit-pick is that I wish after the louis/violet or tenn death, you could choose if you still trust AJ to make his own decisions, if you don't trust him anymore, he listens to you in the ending, and if you still trust him with decisions, he cuts the leg.
that's such a good idea, I wish they would have done it. I also really liked season 4 but the entire series was so good that I still can't decided which season is my absolute favorite
@@roniratzon4068 I like 400 days, Season 2, and Season 3 and especially its scenes with Jane and Kenny and how you get more agency in Season 3 compared to the rest of the series. I
Yeah they should have had you choose the shoot tenn or tell Violet/Louis to throw him and then have the cave scene determine weather clem lives or not seeing as how it's the final season and episode so you could do whatever you want
I like that they went with "he's gonna learn to trust and stand for himself even if it It goes against his caregivers" (mostly Clem ofc) because thats a very important part of growing up
And Clem deserves better than to die like that right at the end because of just one choice
If I had to rate them from best to worst it’d probably be
S1
S4
S2
S3
“Maybe I romanced the wrong person after all.” YES, YES YOU DID SIR. I am a Louis stan until I die.
I am a Violet stan till I die. Unfortunately we can't be alike. Not war either.
@@IndianScams5038damn u picked the wrong choice
tenn dead violet blind louis romance best ending and i stand by it!
I think they are both like s tier characters
I think it's cool even though Lee was in a brief moment in her life, she still thinks of him and has that "talk" with him on the train. You'd think it would a parent in that scenario but no, it is Lee. I think it shows how much of an impact he had on her. And to reflect how much she misses him too.
I miss Lee.
so interesting how much she talked about lee and we never see a flashback of her parents or even finding out they’re dead which you’d think would be a traumatic moment
Crazy to think for a short time, this game would have had the half-life 3 treatment for a while, as everything wasn't sure when the original Telltale shut down.
Whenever I first played I was shocked seeing Eddie from 400 days at the ranch. It sucks we had to kill the dude but at least they brought him back as a good guy
i was hoping to see what he would say about the call back with the salt lick but i guess he never did that. that is one of my favorite things in the final season it shows how much shes grown but deep down shes still that little girl we found in that tree house all alone 11 years ago
34:34 I''m glad there is finally someone who acknowledges the beauty and emotion of the Barn Walkers scene! Before seeing that scene I never gave it even a second of a thought, whether there was something more to the walkers, but in that beautifull scene seeing "the monsters" be so peaceful, definitely made me at least consider it!
This season is like the little train that could. When we thought it was completely over they swooped in at the last second and saved this season. So glad they got to finish this story it really does feel like a satisfying ending.
the stargazing scene with Violet just CANNOT be beat, it's so gorgeous. Louis 100% got the short end of the stick there, poor guy
Hearing 'Take Us Back' even with you commentating took me way back to the first time I heard it at that point in the game, and the waterworks started all over again.
Think I need to go back myself and play through all 4 seasons soon, I adore this series. And huge HUGE kudos to the Still Not Bitten team for coming back to give us the ending, so much respect for them.
Can honestly say that as a gronwass dad of 38. The last 15mins of the game had me crying in the best way posible....
Same! The train dream sequence at the end of E3 also gets me every time.
@@Beornigan ikr? Good thing we can cry all the manly tears we want when theres a good reason
@@TcRCtS My name's Lily. My dad's Larry. @sshole is our main family trait.
@@Some_Guy6 Loool Well just know that being an asshole doesn't exempt you from having a cleansing cry once in a while :P
one thing that i always loved is that when marlon has his bow pointed at clementine and he asks her to drop the knife she just drops it. the player has no choice in the matter to be cautious or anything. it shows how much clem loves aj
I have heard that there may be a 5th season. As much as I think it ended perfectly here, I love Clem and would absolutely want to see her thrive with her found family.
Tbh I dont, Ive been fearing Clem would die since season 2, Im scared theyd finally pull the trigger when shes not a kid anymore
Its not something I wanna have a definitive answer to
Just don't take ideas from the clem comic😢
Amen to that as the comic sucks.
I just wanna say that s5 will probably happen, just as long as you play expanse and wolf s2 when they launch. Meaning older games get revived
if they do a 5th season they'll kill off clem. i dont want that
I think Clem not dying is even better because it DIDNT work for Lee (my Lee kept his arm, but you know what I mean lol) or Pete talking about someone he knew doing it and surviving. and so… having it go and WORK I think speaks to that optimism you’re talking about throughout. And how it pays off sometimes. I tear up and was bawling like a baby when it cut to black. And I remember my little brother (who was also crying) go ‘it’s not that big a deal’…. We played every episode together as they came out. And to get to play it with him til the end was amazing. And… I relate to Clem a lot. So her being able to rest easy and it end well for her is just a really needed win.
Despite how long the down time scenes of Ericsson were I never got bored of them. I feel like they were needed to get us to care more about the characters and to understand their mindsets. If you were to remove those scenes from the game and leave everything else, then a lot of the moments later with Louis or Violet or Tenn don’t really hit as hard. Plus, it’s nice because it gives us a break from all the despair and suffering that is in the Walking Dead world. Plus plus, I enjoyed them also because it was nice getting to see Clem actually talk with more people her age who had the same survival mindset as her. Yeah sure there was Duck, Sarah, and Gabe, but this was the first time that Clem got to actually bond with a GROUP of kids, which was really refreshing. This may seem like a big stretch, but I’d be willing to bet that her bonding with the Ericson kids probably reminded her of her time in school as a kid before the apocalypse. (Saying this because I remembered her saying to Lee in season 1 how much she loved school and misses it)
Oh man you didn't trust AJ to make tough calls, that's rough
Just finished the final season the other day. Man this series was a lot of fun. I thank telltale for such a great story❤ #stillnotbitten
If you walk around the station and discover everything you see an empty crib and get dialogue options that suggest that the walker couple lost their baby and that's why they decided to end it. It further underlines the relationship between people and their children in TWD universe and how their actions are influenced by them. Also Tenn's walker age theory is totally supported by the end of the comic series! Walkers start dying out and the world changes. I love that he foresaw it and it makes me happy to think of everyone at Ericson getting to live that life.
hey i haven’t read the comics and i’m intrigued which out of louis, violet or tenn dies or if they die at all?
@@0llieill0not telltale storyline, the original storyline about Rick and their group, in conclusion, zombies become a relic from the past, and people did go back to a semi normal world.
We don't know anything about telltale characters tho
I would love to see a Everything Great About The Wolf Among Us! Especially since the sequel is coming soon. It's one of the best telltale games in my opinion.
Telltale went bankrupt in the middle of this game.
@@Some_Guy6 same for the wolf among us 2
@@Some_Guy6hey’re actually back! Their team is really small though and they lost the licensing for everything but The Wolf Among Us & Batman.
Cute little easter egg with Violet during stargazing. Actually you can make Kenny from the stars. and he will wink at you. So next time you there definetly find him :)
It's not Kenny it's one of the developers
@@goujon3071 Well actually I did this thing and the game tells you that "He will remember that" so I am pretty sure its not one of the developers because he looks like him. But anyway I am happy if I turn out to be proved wrong!

28:54 Compound bows are actually easier to pull back than a normal longbow or recurve bow. At first the pull back is tough but then the pulleys do their job and it feels like nothing. More power to in the shot too. Compound bow is a great option to have if you know how to maintain it
I love this season, I'd say it's probably my favourite out of the whole series. I know you said you found the parts spent just chilling with the Ericson's kids kinda boring, but I thoroughly enjoyed them. I didn't really care for the characters from season 3 and found only a small minority of the characters from season 2 really worthwhile. season 4 made me feel connected to the side characters again, like in season 1. half of my top 10 characters are from season 4 lmao.
In my favorite playthrough of this, Violet and Clem are together and alive in the end. This was the best ending for Clem, and I'm glad she gets to finally settle somewhere.
Best ending for Clem?
😂
Violet is a brat
dude block me 🤣
I just love this. And for the Marlon redemption arc, I've been wondering about how to approach something like that too and for half a year now I've been writing on my own version of... yeah, a redemption arc for him. You know, when I find the time next to work and stuff (that's the only reason it's taking so long to be honest...), just for the sake of 'What if?'. I swear, it's so hard to balance between "You are a horrible, shitty person" and "You're our brother, we forgive you", that's by far the toughest piece I've ever written xD Well, this video inspired me to keep going though, because a Marlon redemption arc just would've been so frikin interesting.
Also keep up the good work, I love your content! Gave me a lot of good laughs too, as always xD
You better put a link up for us when this is done.
@@Essendiinanis The link's in my channel description here on RUclips now, if you're interested, but be warned, the chapters are... long (10.000-20.000 words each, and somehow it gets longer every time xD). And I can't update that regularly because work etc. but I'm definitely gonna finish that Marlon Redemption story at one point, no matter how long it takes ;)
I swear I've been waiting for this video forever, kinda bummed you didn't pick Louis though because everyone picks violet.Overall kinda sad to see this series end on your channel,I'm gonna miss it😊
(Just to talk about Louis more, literally so many amazing this to be said about him(the valid reaction he had by kicking Clem and AJ out,him still being on your side even after you let him get captured or the signs that he always had a crush on you even after you reject him he starts coping with humor again but you can tell his upset that you didn't make a move)
Also glad you didn't bring up the comic, because that's just some self-insert fanfic at this point, the writer really tried being y/n with that🤦♀(notmyclemintine aka tangerine)
I remember this one being the one that made me cry the most. It was always late at night when I would play yhe episodes. Hearing Violet sing Minnies song and seeing the kids reaction, no sound outside made me tear up because they're just kids and they've gone through so much. Then seeing Louis turn from the comedic relief to a traumatized person. Lastly Clems fake out death, I knew she would probably die in this one. But seeing the bite made my heart sink. When we switched to AJ I cried more realizing that shes gone. Later on I had to pause the game seeing her with the crutches because I couldn't believe she was alive. I'm happy that Telltale was able to finish the game after everything.
I feel like a missed win is, after the boat siege when going to the bridge with AJ, Tenn and either Vi or Louis, Tenn speaks up about something I actually wanted to know; Who was the 3rd person to vote for us to stay at Ericson? I always assumed it to be either Ruby or Willy, but no, it was actually Aasim. Tenn explains to us that Aasim valued Clem's survival abilities, being good with dealing with walkers, and he could see that voting for Clem and AJ to leave would be a wasted opportunity for more help around the school. Really made me respect his character a bit more, he was very rational, thinking about the present, always just wanting to get important shit done before goofing off with the other kids.
I met Lily's VA at Walker Stalker, London in 2019. She was awesome and signed a picture of her, Clem and AJ for me.
It was your first TT Walking Dead video that led me to your channel, and I immediately started binge watching all the videos you've made on other games that I enjoyed. It's sad to see this series come to an end, but I'm glad this got a conclusion. Thank you Gaming Wins!
Playing the final season, the part where Lee met grown up Clem actually made me cry, it was so delightful and bittersweet.
What I love the most about the final season is that for the first time in forever, the choices actually *FEEL* like they matter. My biggest problem with the past 2 seasons after season 1 was that the choices felt null and void for the most part. One thing will happen no matter what you decide on. You save this character, they die in a later episode. You don't take the medicine, Arvo will accuse you of doing so anyways. You take Conrad's deal or don't take it, Gabe is still a little shit. The choices didn't always seem fair, or like they mattered. But in this game it really does feel like it. You can alter moments, you can shape AJ in who you want, and you can decide who to date, or not date anyone at all. The fact this game has a total of 10 different kind of endings you can get shows it more. It really feels more immersive than before, and makes for a near perfect conclusion to this series and Clementine's story as a whole
i just binged your series on the games yesterday hoping the final season comes out soon and gaming wins always delivers keep up the great work
Another great video as always. I *love* seeing positive receptions on games instead of the same-old 'game bad and terrible, here's why' videos that have been popping up a lot lately, this is a really nice change. Keep it up!
This season is probably my favorite one beside season 1, it has so much character developement and choices that actually kind of matter and innovative mechanics for a telltale game, it seemed they were really going in the right direction right before they shut down. Its honestly really amazing.
The final season had its ups and downs especially with telltale's unfortunate state at the time, but you cant deny how much love and care the devs really put into the series and all its characters. Watching the evolution of Clementine from a scared little girl in season 1 to being such a complete badass in season 4 was such an unforgettable experience and man that ending tho, it really hits you right in the feels and seeing clementine's story arc come to an end feels so heartwarming. #stillnotbitten
Would love to see a Tellatale's The Wolf Among Us GamingWins video in the future.
It's one of Telltale's best
The wait for this video was grueling, but it was really worth it
This is my favorite season in the series and the best possible conclusion for TellTale's TWD possible. Just amazing
I’ve been waiting for sooooo long!!! Thank you!!!
i understand that you wouldnt have liked the downtime in this season but idk if i just play too many action games or smth but it was rlly rlly nice to just sit there and talk with people, especially since i felt as if it was easier to keep people in this season to like me compared to others
I love your humor and energy in this
Yes! I've been waiting for this one, thank you!
I appreciate your videos. Especially when it’s a game I grew up with. Keep it up
It’s finally here, and the wait was definitely worth it! Also pretty coincidental because I was also playing TFS when the video came out haha
been waiting so long for you to make this video! you never miss
I did not know I’d wake up to this since I just finished rewatching the gamingsins channel for this video game series and my immediate thought was “WELL LETS REWATCH GAMINGWINS” and this pops up
I’ll be so fr I went for Louis right away. He’s sweet, funny, charming and over all just the light at the end if the storm for everyone and his chatterbox personality in a way keeps you at ease reminding you of what humanity used to be. His character stays consistent gameplay wise, if you pick violet to save during the raid he gets his tongue taken out and when he sees Clem he hug her and cries.
Which is why I hated violet when you COME FOR HER and she tries to paint you as an asshole and even FIGHTS YOU making it harder to rescue and I have an issue with the fact that you can avoid her finger getting cut while Louis is set and stone fucked over. And yes ik she gets blinded making it ‘worse’ but she still puts up such an attitude up till that point that I found myself annoyed by her wishing I didn’t have to save her which is messed up because I liked how she filled in on the twins storyline and even how she lets her guard down around Clementine.
But admittedly I went with Louis for the fact that it felt like Clem was being used to help cope with the loss of Minerva.
6:57 the random Tobuscus singing was just as nostalgic as the first twd game omg
I’ve been waiting just for Gaming Wins to post this but know it’s out and I love it 🎉🎉🎉
i also thought it was funny how complaints from season 2 was she was making the decisions for the adults, in the last season they put her with a bunch of kids so no one can question it😂
16:29 I CHOCKED ON MY EGG ROLL!!! I was not ready for that and bursted out laughing and almost died :D
Picking Louis over Violet for romance and saving them is the best choice.
These are from comments in other TWD season 4 videos that I summarized
Here are somethings that can happen to Louis
Loses his greatest friend
Betrayed by greatest friend
Might get blamed for AJ getting shot
Will get shot if you tell Violet to shoot Lilly
When he gets kidnapped, they cut out his tongue. They cut out the SINGER'S tongue. He can no longer speak or sing, blood pours out of his mouth. All of this, yet he still hugs you.
When Violet gets kidnapped, she decides to fight you. Before you say that she had it worse because she was blinded, that was her fault. She went down to the boilers where the bomb was.
Like another comment says: When you give Violet 100% she gives you 100% back. When you give her 90% she gives you 0% back.
In Louis romance, they are a lot more intimate. Their kiss is a lot more intimate, and Clem lets out a small MOAN.
Personally I don't consider Louis as sing more of a smart alek and a wise cracker
Agreed. Violet’s attitude is annoying & she tries to be a hard ass. Shes ungrateful if you save her. Louis is an all around good guy. I couldn’t be mad at him because he was upset about Marlon being killed. That’s his best friend
Cool story
Violet is still better For Clem and the better character
@@MistahJay7 nah Louis is better but violet is thd more enjoyable character if you don't leave her for dead not like clem had much of a choice
I don't have a preference over any them but I feel like Louis and Clementine have better chemistry and they fit each other well like Christa and Omid
6:56 oh man the memories that were unlocked
23:20 another little something I feel would be a good win, if you have subtitles on; you can tell it's lily because it's the same green color as it was in season 1 !!
We been waiting for this one. For so long to finish this serie omg I’m so happy see it
Loved this series!
Happy to see clementine and Aj got their happy ending 😊😊😊❤❤❤
Wasn’t there like a comic that takes place after the game, where Clem leaves the school because she was unhappy?
@@mrrandomdude4291yeah unfortunately but we don't talk about the comic
@@mrrandomdude4291 Nobody considers it canon, it completely changes the characters and ruins everything.
Hi!!! I love love LOVE your videos!! So, I obsess over zombies. And the song ‘Waiting around to die’ by the Be Good Tanyas plays on repeat all the time… I took a different meaning from the song than her giving into vices. Please bear with me, so first the narrator says once she had a good life. A mom a dad. Then her dad hit her mom, her mom left and left the narrator because it was better than whatever might happen if the mom stayed. So the narrator is left alone. The next one is them older, the meet a friend. This friend is a bad influence. They drink and run away. Saying they want to kill the pain, they’re in the next town and they rob a man and run because their friend needed money, they do it instead of letting life pass by and dealing with problems like adults. They get caught, dragged back to their home town and end up in jail. The last verse is them getting out of prison, meeting a new friend who doesn’t steal cheat or drink and together they’re going to wait around to die… when the rest of the song is her singing ‘better than waiting around to die’. To me, this means she’s content finally after struggling so long. And I feel it’s the same with her and AJ. Finally she has someone, doesn’t have to run or anything. She can just. Be happy finally.
But. Look. That’s just me lol I would love rebuttals!
YESSS I’ve been waiting for this! Season 4 has always had a special place in my heart :’)
YES been waiting on this!
The final shot of Clem’s hat and the “thanks for playing” makes me burst into tears every single time
Loved the video!
To see Clem and Lee together again is always an emotional moment.
I believe the solemn different in why Erickson has survived more than any other was due to the difference in wants. Adults and in general people older want to feel better. They want to be better than the next group of people. They want to believe that their "Right" is better than another. We see eith Lily and her refusal to even listen to anyone about frank from S1. When she killed Carley after being chewed out by her. She could not handle someone being right and neither could her father. The fight between Carver and the group from S2 was him trying to horrifically control people. Make them scared "right". The only people we have seen that survived the most was first Lee. He cared for others and tried his best to protect everyone. He cared for everyone in the group. Even Ben after what he did to them. He held the group and Kenny especially to a higher standard for themselves. Kenny was brash and reckless. He lost his eye due to fighting with Carver, He gets walter killed due to his anger. I don't think any sane person chose jane for the ending of S2, especially after we find out what she did in S3. But the biggest thinf is that they cared. They wanted everyone to be happy and safe. They didn't fight to be better or to even hold power over things
For the kids it is different. They want to have fun, they want to be around each other. They want each other. None are interested in holding power or control over things like territory or weapons. They all want to just live and be happy. Luis with his talkative and giddy nature. Violet and her careful and smart personality. Tem with his his peacful and simplistic nature. They all have their quirks and issues but that's what makes them work so well. Kids are honest. They haven't built their filters for other people so anyone is alright for them. Of course differences will always be there but they are much less willing to or culpable of judging ot straight up shutting someone off due to said differences. The adults only care for themselves, they only want to be right. But there is more to life than just being right and the kids are able to see that and it is why they have survived so long.
I was literally watching the other TWD videos omg that's just perfect timing

I just replayed Season 4 after God knows how long. Im so glad this game is still being talked about to this day
I miss Clementine 😢
I just finished the final season.. and as satisfied as I was with the ending, I still crave more of Clem and AJs story. However if they were to make a season five, there is a gigantic risk of Clem, Aj or anyone getting killed off.. so maybe season 4 had the ideal ending. After all, nothing lasts forever.

i've been waiting for this one!!!
At first I was annoyed with how Louis reacted and this made me protective of AJ . Then choosing to be with violet , however I realised once playing the game a second time Louis’s reaction was justified and reasonable considering that he just lost his best friend for years by a couple of strangers (specifically a kid) I then chose to except Louis for his flaws and got with Louis 😊
This was great! I hope to see the gears game done soon and one day you can do mass effect.
Every season of this game there’s a moment where out of nowhere a bullet blows sombodys head out
Nooooo you missed the salt lick callback

I nearly lost half my hand to a pit when I was younger. Left a good damn looking scar.
I don't know if there's enough story content but personally I'd love even a short video on TWD Saints and sinners and it's sequel
Final! Now, The Wolf Among Us I need it!
I so wish you had gone for a Louis romance. The music going along with the slow moments, like Alive Inside giving you nostalgic comfort.
Louis playing The Night Will be Over Soon, instead of Violet awkwardly singing it, it would be a lot more satisfying.
season 4 saved the series for me. quality started deteriorating s2 and so on, s4 was executed perfectly in my opinion
damn now i want you to review the wolf among us so badly omg another amazing telltale game… thx for this video!!
I’m so sad he didn’t show the salt lick scene
16:32 That really makes me think you should give stalker shadow of chernobyl a shot and the other two games that come after that
Edit: with the take me back song at the end this game really did feel like the end of an era, I played the first season alongside metal gear solid v with batman the arkham knight when I was like 14 and this really did take me back to a much simpler time all I had was just school and playing games
Ooo, do WolfQuest next! Anniversary Edition is such a great remaster but I won’t hold that against the original
