Haha I’ve never gotten that compliment about my voice, but I binged those videos as a kid so I’ll take it!

This was a fantastic video. I think that many of us who have been exposed to card games for years often forget that, for a completely new player, this stuff might not come naturally to everyone. Really great job on this. I will definitely recommend this series. As someone who only dabbles in card games, i look forward to you making more "intermediate or expert" level videos in the future.

The was a great video, easily explains character cards and when this game comes out I will be sure to play this video, as well as the others in this series, for any and all family and friends who would like to play but have little to no experience with TCGs. Thank you once again and have a great weekend.

My immediate thought because of summoning sickness is that going first will be over powered in this game

So, basically the old VS. System from Upper Deck Entertainment, bar one small change in combat and mostly different terminology for the exact same mechanic... Well, not sure how licensing works, but the game system itself was awesome then, so this game must be awesome as well.

I hadn’t played any games with a similar blend of mechanics before but I’ve been told that there are a few that are similar enough mechanically that a history of playing those makes picking up this game a piece of cake. More power to you if so! This game feels great!

@@ReadySetDraw_TCG If you get a chance, try it. It's almost the same game, but with Marvel, DC, Vertigo and BPRD characters and themes.
It got discontinued somewhere around 2012 or 2013, I think, but I'm glad some other game is carrying the mechanics on 😀

So I had a question about challenging an opponent. So you exert (turn sideways) a card to either challenge or quest right? So if you decide to challenge, when you are done challenging, do you turn it back to “ready” position? This is to prevent the opponent from fighting back immediately right? Cause from what I understand, when you challenge, you also get attacked by the opponent even though its your turn (its not like pokemon where you each take turns attacking)? So the only way to gain lore is through questing, yes? And you gain lore at the end of your turn that you decided to quest, not at the start of your next turn? And questing is high risk cause it’s the only way to gain lore, but you are open to be challenged. So I imagine sometimes, maybe rarely, it might be best to do nothing so you can setup next turn?
So once you have spent ink to put a character in play, you regain that ink on your next turn? So an example, you spend 8 ink to summon BLT Mickey, and once its your turn again, not only is BLT Mickey ready to perform an action, but you have your 8 ink back to spend?
Sorry if im asking so many questions, I really want to understand all the little details and specific scenarios and such. This game looks really fun to play, so I really wanna try it out (sadly all the prices are sky high right now, I just want two starter decks to I can try out the game with my brother).
Hopefully I’ll be able to get some cards once they hit the big stores. Cant wait to see more Lorcana from y’all.

You are correct when you say that it’s risky to challenge and quest sometimes because it leaves them open to challenges from the opponent. When you decide to challenge or quest, your character remains exerted (turned sideways) afterward. That’s where the risk comes in because a character has to be exerted to be chosen for a challenge.
Sometimes the correct play WILL be to leave your character alone and do nothing with them as long as your intention is to use them with another card in the future that requires that they stick around. Leaving them ready doesn’t mean they are safe from removal like Dragonfire, though. (unless they have ward)
When you quest with a character, you gain lore immediately from the quest.
And to your last point, yes, you get to use your 8 ink again next turn since ink readies at the start of each turn so it can be used again.
      Hope this helps! -Jacob
