  • Arizona Shed Hunting: I went out on Sunday and had 8 elk sheds by 7 in the morning. I left a stash pile and hiked for the rest of the day, and found 7 more antlers that day. Then the next weekend Mark and I went out to the same area on Saturday and only picked up 3 antlers all day.
    Thanks for watching.

      It was a good day. Not so good on the other day. Pretty crazy how you can find so many one day in one area then go back and hardly find anything. Sucks.

    Love watching your videos! We only live a hour away from each other. Like your determination.i think it's to hot. Each day it gets cloudy I want to get out there but life is overwhelming.

      It's definitely tough to hike during the summer months. I have a hard time in the heat, plus I always have to pack extra water/drinks.

      That first hour and a half out of the truck was epic. Pretty rare these days. Nothing big/heavy, but still fun to pick up a pack full nowadays.

    👍 Beautiful country! I would have thought the dead head would be worth more. My brother finally found a matched set this year. Around Overgaard. I definitely have to get out there to see more of that place.

      Only bigger bulls in the 370” plus range can you start getting more than antler weight. There are always People wanting deadheads, but it’s easier just to cut them and sell them for antler weight. Hard to pack out a big wide bull in thick brushy country.

    That’s amazing, I hike in 22 every spring and have never found a shed, looking in all the wrong places 🤦‍♂️

    That first day was amazing!! 🤘 It’s been dang hot up here in Utah!! We’re still getting out though. My wife has been kicking my butt! She seems to find the good ones. It is crazy how one year you can hit the jackpot in an area and then the next couple years there’s nothing there. Take care and stay hydrated 🤘

      The bulls tend to move around a little, or a lot. We have picked them up on the West side of a ridge one year, then one ridge north the next year. It's all about timing and where they are when they start dropping.

    Hey Man, My kids and I love shed hunting. Wondering if you would be up to get paid a bit to take us shed hunting in the next week or so. We leave town in a little less than two weeks.

    • @RogueOutdoorsmen
      @RogueOutdoorsmen  2 года назад +1

      I honestly don’t have much of a keeper pile. Only the biggest elk, Muleys , and Coues get to stick around the house. Pretty rare to find bigger sets, so I sell most everything.
