finally some actual good advice noone else has said before! (fr lol, I'm not being sarcastic.) I never dabbled with the world changing thing, I'll definitely try it out next time I'm playing ff again. thanks for the tip 🙂
Just wanted to add that you can actually carry more than 2 mysterious maps: 1 deciphered, 1 undeciphered, and another in your chocobo saddle. Doing them 3 at a time rounds up to the 75 you need
Quality video. I had a few things that I wanted to add or correct. 1. You actually can solo Stone Vigil (Hard). If you're decently geared at 80+ you do a decent amount of damage just attacking the boss. I would recommend doing your one minute burst, and then using the cannons to stun and damage outside of burst. This isn't quick, but in my experience was still faster than doing it normally. 2. You can carry a third map by putting it in your chocobo saddlebags. 3. This one is only helpful for doing relics beyond the first, but since it doesn't have you pick up the quests that you did during the first weapon (aside from a few repeatables), you can nearly complete some of the steps out of order. This is particularly helpful with the light step, as once you have your weapon soulglazed, you can skip to the zodiac step and do all of the dungeons the four repeatables ask you to do with your relic equipped, and they will count toward the light step. Also, some of them will almost certainly even give you the bonus light.
you guys are always so nice and helpful to all players lol. the FF community is very different than other mmo communities that's for sure. thanks for your input 🙂
I just wanted to say, at level 90 you can now seem to be able to do Stone Vigil (Hard), and lost city of amdapor you just have to burst the first boss with hard hitting moves really quickly (blood lily for WHM, Hyosho Ranryu for NIN, a Blitz for MNK, etc etc)
Switch zones for atma every 3 or 4 events. Thank you! I was doing soooo many of them on one map last night for like 2 hours and could not get any atma to drop.
yeah, it's prolly just confirmation bias or something but MAN I feel it's healthier for your sanity to switch zones ever 10-15 min or so. glad it helped you!
After many experiences and many thing's I done on this game. I just learn now that we can solo dungeon. I made an Animus weapons with dungeon finder. At least my weapon was for tank so it was quicker to find a party. I understand why nobody want to make bahamut with party member. :D This information will probably change my life. Thank you.
I did the ARR relic for my white mage a few weeks ago. There is another method you can use with a healer to solo Stone Vigil (hard) without going full DPS. The boss will not one shot you until the NPC soldiers are dead. So you can heal them to keep the fight going.
If you're doing your second relic, you can do the second to last step at the same time as the third to last. Just take the 4 repeatable quests you need for the second to last step and run the dungeons they tell you while getting light at the same time.
You can also buy Alexandrite with 50 ARR hunt seals each + you can have 3 maps on you at all times if you use the chocobo saddlebag as extra inventory for maps
For the Atma grind, you just need A zenith weapon equipped... So if you have a job that you prefer for doing FATEs but you've already done the relic for that job, you can actually go to the Calamity Salvager in the capitals and buy another level 50 base weapon, and then just do the easy first two steps again on that job. Now you have another Zenith weapon and can farm atmas for the rest of your relics on your prefered job!
I’m almost on the last step of my first weapon and your first tip could not be more true. So if anyone is currently doing it, please get 1mil gil first cause that 2nd to last step is a huge pain and will cause so much frustration.
not sure if someone has already said this but you can buy 3 mysterious maps at a time! buy one and decipher it, buy another and put it in the chocobo saddle bag and then buy another for your inventory!
i've done three of the relics so far and you can in fact solo those dungeons, they just need you to know what you're doing and be prepared, whether with knowledge or with burst damage
yeah I was noob back then and didn't have max level classes. only one that I think would be annoying is that one dungeon where you have to fight the turtle dragon boss with the turrets. can you actually solo that?
@@Deolegion777 You can solo Stone Vigil Hard if you alternate between two turrets to stun the boss. Definitely easiest to just have another person with you so you can alternate stuns without having to constantly move between two turrets though.

The ARR relic is literally the worst grind I've ever done in any video game, ever. Thank Hydalaen there's only one achievement for ARR relic weapons instead of a separate achievement for each relic, as they did in later expansions. Also, it is possible to solo all the dungeons at level 90 (probably not at level 71, like you suggest). I was able to kill the Decaying Gourmand before he ate me at that level. Additionally, I was able to solo the Stone Vigil (hard) but I was also playing on White Mage, so I was able to heal the other fighters if their health got too low. So it may be unsoloable with tank or DPS jobs, but it's definitely doable on a healer role (again, at level 90).

I remember when these relics took weeks to get through a stage for a normal casual player. Most normal players barely finished them before the next expansion (HW) came out and made them obsolete almost immediately. It upset everyone so much that SE made completing a Zodiac relic skip stages for the Anima weapons and have since made every relic easier to obtain. Still, FFXIV relics are nothing like FFXI relics were back in the day! Groups of 40+ people farming twice a week for 3-4 hours at a time, for 6-12 months straight just to get 1 relic for 1 player and pray they didn't leave your linkshell if they survived the long push to get the relic without getting bored afterward Most people stressed themselves into quitting not long after getting a relic this way.
