Takumi Sen is definitely the 5K king in my book but that can change when the Adios 10 drops with full length lightstrike pro with slim stack.

I personally liked the Hoka Rocket X 2. I got my 5k and Half PBs in it this year in 2023. It simultaneously has punch to it but also stable and felt it saving my legs in the half.
Definitely a favorite of mine that I raced frequently in. Completely agree with you.

Saucony sinister is nice for 5k ,i like the traditional look
I have Asics Metaspeed Edge v.01 and the Sinister. I know the Edge is faster, but I haven't had the time to do a proper 1v1 test to see what's the difference.
Where would you rank the Sinister for 5K/10K out of your fastest shoes?

Do you guys think that it makes sense to buy Vaporfly/CB Echo or Takumi for a person racing at 4:30/km or the benefits of those kind of shoes kick in with higher speed and level of fitness?
If you like them and are comfortable in them! However, that’s kind of aggressive . Shoes like the Saucony Kinvara pro, adidas Boston 12, Mach x or even the new Mizuno rebellion flash 2 may be better options!

Hmmm, is there not a doc in the crew that has a narrow forefoot? I guess I could watch this channel to see what I don't want to try. (I watch all this channel's videos BTW, and it's good stuff. Just sayin'.).
