Eric I want to thank you. I watch your videos every time you put a new one up on RUclips. Through your videos, you take me to places here in the good ole' U.S.A. that I can only dream about. You show the good times, and some of the bad times, but you show it, and that's the way it should be. From transmission changes on your RV, to fuel pump changes, we get to see it all. I don't know how you do it, but you do terrific videos, and it's so enjoyable watching you. Keep up the great work that you do for us, and again, I just want to say thank you.

I agree with a lot of the comments Eric, I mean your country and the world has a lot of turmoil in it. Sometimes the news, and online reports make it seem like the world is really small. But viewing a few of your videos makes you realize that outside of most cities, it's quiet, peaceful, good old American living like it always was.. and it still is. Trust what you see and know.

Eric and Jax, you make my day. Can't tell you enough, how much joy your videos bring me and now my daughter. Who now watches regularly ,and like me, want to get an RV and start living the life. I'm clearing out years of stuff and planning. By the time I do get my RV, thanks to you Eric, I'll be well educated on handling anything that comes up. Thank you so much. Stay safe, hope to meet you on the road😀

You are a prince. You obviously earn every penny you make. Love the drone shots.. fabulous. I chuckled when you said the crickets were louder, yup.. happy background ambiance. I do hope you get into Michigan! Like trees? We got 'em. Like lakes? We've got a few of them too 😁.

My aunt and uncle just bought a house on a lake in Michigan. I've heard a lot of good about the state and really want to get up there and explore. I'd love to be like Nomadic Fanatic and travel the country, though I'd be more likely to write about it than create a RUclips channel for it. I really love the Great Lakes states.

    TROLLS☠ Who cares!
I started following you before I had an RV and was just considering the idea. You have taken me thru the highs and lows and taught me most of what I know. Deploying an awning, roof and suitcase solar, how to clean your fresh water tank, how to empty your gray and black tank, and proper etiquette in doing so, pre trip checks, how to do laundry in an RV. That some repair shops will let you stay in your RV if you ask ahead of time,on their lot while it's being serviced.
And the list goes on and on.
Your videos are always a highlight and a lot of times bring up subjects that encourage me to find out more information.
You have my gratitude, as I am now the owner of an older RV. It's mechanically sound and Ive it renovated to fit my needs.
So, for those of us that are serious about this life style, THANK YOU You make so smile and learn. Tiki 🚎💨💨💨

There used to be a TV show on TNN called WISH YOU WERE HERE. It was first hosted by Kenny and Donna Price. They had a huge Class A and traveled the country doing videos of life in the RV. When Kenny died Pat Boone took over and was totally annoying. I still have some VHS recordings of the original show, the filming and music were so beautiful. I love the music you chose for this. Your eye for video makes yours stand out above all others.

I've never been to that part of the country and so I enjoy seeing what it's like. I read somewhere that a farmer who lost his wife started planting sunflowers along the road for miles on end in her memory. I think it was in North Dakota. Anyway, you found yet another great place to camp. You would think other folks would be there, too. Love the drone footage. Happy trails.

honestly, I've always thought that North Dakota is this boring flat land with nothing to offer as far as nature but what you showed made me like it somewhat. I mean, this area is pretty. There are green hills, trees and a sense of calm to it. Peaceful.

What a blissful & serene spot.
You have a lucky charm; finding this location, on the right day, and all to yourself. You've probably left there by now, but a quick call to the city or county public works during business hours would answer your question. You can probably find the answer online.
The dragonflies gave me feels; I'm so glad you filmed them.

I tried finding spigot color meanings, but no luck. Usually designates hot water, but not in this setting.
I went to the Free Campsites page, and it was noted the park was closed on Tues & Wed. The amenities list drinking water.
2 of the 3 reviewers were confused by the water spigot. They didn't read that it says Push On or that it is missing a handle because it doesn't need one.
Usually nonpotable water is posted very clearly. This is only used in public places for irrigation or sprinkler systems. It would never be available as a spigot.
The marking you said means Sourced from Lake Iowa.
You were pronouncing Butte correctly; it is not Butt.
      HTH.

Just seen this video while searching camping videos. I grew up 9 miles east of Crown Butte (not but) Lake fishing for spring lake trout. Sommer time is great sitting around a small campfire and watching millions of lightening bugs (fire flies) glowing all along the water edge. Great memories of my children experiencing the same camping tranquility of small local lakes

Hey Eric, another great video, the drone shots really help add perspective to where you are. Keep it up.
That red water hydrant is a frost proof valve from the Merrill Valve Co. in Storm Lake Iowa. They put their name on every valve. It has nothing to do with the location of the valve. I don't know if I would drink it, but it's good for everything else.
Those valves are all over this region. It's connected to a "Sand Point" well. It's just a pipe pounded into the ground until you hit a water aquifer. The pressure from the hydrant is all natural. The actual on/off part of the valve is 10 feet down the pipe. That way it won't freeze in the winter. You should be able to get water from a well that that even at -20.

A butte (you're pronouncing it right) is a large hill with a flat top and steep sides. There's lots of places in the Dakotas named after them. I think they're similar to a mesa. Maybe all buttes are mesas but not all mesas are buttes or whatever. People are talking about snakes. There are rattlesnakes. They love hot weather and you'll see more of them with extended periods of hot weather. You won't see any east of the Missouri river, at least in the Dakotas.

Correction: that hydrant says "Storm Lake Iowa" , not "from Lake Iowa". Red hydrants are fine. All old cast iron hydrants used to be red until relatively recently when blue became the color of choice. Cast iron lasts forever, it seems.

Hey Eric, when you get into MN go to Alexandria, the have a giant viking on the north end of town. Take hwy 29 all the way through town. 29 will kind of slip and when it does you will see the 30ft viking. Also you can take highway 12 of 55, they follow 94 into minneapolis, but less crowded.
If you go south you can also see where SPAM is made. There is also Mall of America, I havent been there in a while but I guess they added a lot of stuff and made it even bigger.

hey like your videos. I'm from nd, thanks for visiting our state, the badlands are very beautiful, with tons of history!!! the reason for the walmart not allowing rvs, is mainly cause of our oil boom, people were pretty much living in their vehicles in the parking lots of any store really, this was happening all over western nd. the same reason is for the no camping on tues and wed on our wildlife refuges, is cause people were staying there, longer than 12-14 days. it wasn't these folks fault, when the boom hit there was just for them to go. keep the videos coming.

Sign on faucet is "Storm Lake, Iowa". That is where the foundry is.

Eric, I think that hydrant actually said Storm Lake, Iowa which is home to 2-3 foundries...likely that was where it was cast. As for the color, yeah red means do not drink.

Ah yes, it is bute, not but but I am sure you figured that out on your own. I have never spent a night there, but have driven past the exit thousands of times, since we travel to Bismarck to shop and regularly camp at Fort Abraham Lincoln just south of Mandan, Bismarck's sister city. Make sure you trip out to the Fort, it is extremely interesting.

I believe the name on the water valve is nothing more than where it was made "Iowa Valve Co. Oskaloosa, Iowa" They used to make fire hydrants, valves etc..I am not sure if they are still in business, could be clow valve..Google it! Have fun..

Stay at the North Walmart in Bismarck not the south one or the Mandan one. They're a little shady.
