It seems like the diffusion umbrella gave almost a similar effect to the softbox. Oh for this situation: half-body forward-looking with a clean background.
Umbrellas are pretty clutch and cheap. I use a white bounce umbrella on almost every shoot. I mostly use the spill control of soft boxes for talking heads.
So I didn't know about collapsible umbrellas until this comment. 😅 Anyway, I paused production on the follow up video to test it out. It is definitely worth discussing and will be featured in the B-roll light workflow video! Thanks for the tip!
