I don’t think the rival is the issue, your answer make sense and is logical I actually agree, but what I think needs to happen is a different ar should be used, it should be the holger instead of the mcw and leave the barrel on the rival, the mcw just sucks as much as I love it being an AR myself but the holger feels how the mcw should be, there’s nothing wrong with the rival when you look from that perspective
NADESHOT IS 100% CORRECT. Each player should have a different gun. Why do you think CSGO and Val are so popular? Players have so much variety in those games and will use literally any gun at random. It gives both the players and viewers such a more unique experience.

i think the solution is simple the GA commissioner needs to come in and force a third gun we have enough weapons to choose from
I think GA Group should be ZooMaa, Octane, Parasite, Maybe Scump, and any top tier former pro like Apathy to balance it out & have people who care.
Then I'd have them as unbiased & balanced out making decisions to improve the game.
I'm not going to be the one to use the third weakest gun, just saying.

It’s also ARs just tweaking. In the beginning of the season people were losing up close gun fights to the same AR that could 3 bullet kill cross map? Like about time that we have a sub that can fry. Whether it’s due to the map or due to the strength of the gun it doesn’t matter about time that sub players can ACTUALLY run a sub.
It’s not my guy an smg should never kill faster than a smg no matter the range like 90m out is crazy that a smg is able to kill quicker and they littered the mcw and gaed multiple attachments for it so why can’t we ga just the barrel so its range is a little less

At the end of the day, entertainment value helps the league the most. Forcing players to get better at more guns or maps is also a great thing too.

I feel like adding bp50 with certain attachments forced to make it slower would fix everything. Just like how the long barrel was forced on to the taq56 last year.
Bottom line you need a group of people ran by a commissioner making the decisions. No bias towards votes. They can't be directly associated with a professional roster. 5 person committee majority rules.

@@mikesworld4812 the rival has lots of horizontal recoil and if u shoot at a wall the pattern looks like a C, and the strafe speed is not that good, if I remember correctly it’s only 3.1 mps
After comparing stats with TrueGameData, the Ram-9 and MTZ-556 with clinch barrel and optic seems to be a potentially really good replacement meta. No weird headshot multipliers, sub moves faster and kills faster close range, and ar is more accurate and kills faster at long range

A holger and rival meta would make so much sense. Holger is dominant at range but has terrible handling up close, rival without barrel is faster and evaporates up close but doesn’t have insane range for a sub. If people still want to use MCW then they can and it’s a 3 gun meta, simple.

If GAs didn't exist the top 4 teams would look way different lol. There's more creative players than there are straight shooters.
It's incredibly simple to go find an SMG and AR builds that are very similar to the ICR and the Saug in BO4. An AR that's perfect for long-medium but struggles close, and an SMG that shreds up close and has the movement but takes a little skill to hit even more shots from longer ranges. I don't like this style of "pro" cod, I prefer BO3 type meta where there's tons of guns but we deal with the BS that is gunsmith now so what you guys should do, because it's close to basically telling everyone what to use anyways, is have an AR, have an SMG. Get together and agree on 1 build that EVERYONE has to use on each. Make the SMG where it's fast aiming, fast moving, and shreds up close but has enough recoil to where it takes some control and skill to shoot past medium range with it and then have the AR be slower moving, a bit slower aim "like ADS in ICR in BO4, accurate, but doesn't fire fast enough/have hip fire that's good enough to consistently delete SMGs up close in 3 or 4 bullets. It can be done, period, these guys just simply don't give a shit and are too lazy to go build these.
I'm starting to get sick of pro's messing the game up getting guns nurffed every 2 mins, getting to the point where I'm never buy the game again, they might aswell just make the game with 1 gun only then there no arguing about guns
There needs to be a committee of ex players not current players to avoid the bias votes
just do the next GA votes by call, if you don't join and make your case you don't get a vote and it's 75% (or whatever percentage you want) of the people that show up to pass a GA

Also I’m sick of seeing rival mcw swarms in pubs in ranked in every fucking thing and no they removed high grain cuz you could build a sub mcw an ar mcw an any mcw. You still can. It just shoots marshmallows now. The rival can literally 4-5 shot across any map. Give 2 Ping to a monkey and a rival with the right build and some firing aim stability and aim assist and bam you got the newest Seattle surge all star.
They need people not affiliated with teams to make the GAs. Players can inform these people about something that’s OP, and if enough players mention it, the GA commission investigates, and decides if it should be removed, or stay. NOT THE PLAYERS

Snipers: XRK,KATT AMR(but limited to SnD like they do for smokes)
Pistol’s:COR-45,Rennetti.( if your giving other class a guns give the pistol atleast add the base Glock pistol)

It's impressive how quickly peoples opinions change in COD its a wild phenomenon. Everyone and their mother agreed maps(generally) suited ARs in this game so you could easily get away with running 3/4 ARs, I was seeing Shottzy of all people running around with an MCW at times. All they've changed in the headshot multiplier not killing faster than a sub at close range, that's the only change and the rival got a slight nerf too so how on earth have we got to a point of complaining about rivals/nerfing SMGs. Flash hider change is irrelevant imo you don't need more recoil control, billeted was better to compete with subs anyway. I do understand it's wildly different playing very good players with a rival than random crims in ranked you can instantly feel the difference but the MCW is so good in most positions. The TTK chart is irrelevant its including sprint to fire and hitting every single shot at long long ranges, whoever shoots/reacts first should be winning regardless of gun, SMGs sprint to fire faster ofc, and devs don't balance weapons around hitting every single shot at extreme ranges. They legitimately played a single scrim since the update and decided to go bring it up instantly on Twitter and GA chat, no wonder the game is so stale we have boring ass pros getting rid of maps and guns without bothering to give them a go, so what if we see 3 subs instead of 3 ARs. I'm a main AR but these pros mentality to ban anything that doesn't suit their team or don't even bother trying new things incase other teams utilise them better is rat behaviour.
How the hell can't you get one person from each team to hop in a call for 1-2 hours after each major map/nerf change for the good of the game. Also, 8-4 majority and higher should win the vote that's absurd it doesn't.

Why are they letting players use an inherent bias in any fashion? We have teams basing their vote on "our subs will benefit more from a rival barrel than another teams sub duo?". Everyone is a pro and shoots straight. The rule change affects both teams. letting teams think a barrel is more beneficial to their team than others is delusional.
They need to revert the mcw patch so a headshot does 38 damage. Then you would need 2 headshots to get a 4 bullet kill. Additionally get a flex gun in the game. The bp50 is too op, but de mtz would be viable is certain attachments would be GA‘d on it

I think part of the problem now days is that there isn't many vocal veteran players who are willing to communicate issues, get shit sorted out and dealt with like they used to do in cwl era
Tbf two of the main vocal vets from CWL days are still in the league, Slasher and Accuracy were always the main people behind GA talks, they still are. Not trying to be a dick but think back to CWL era we had pick and ban with rapid fire and 1 shot weapons in competitive it wasn't exactly ideal.
They should limit the amount of ga’s and can’t do any more during the season unless the whole league decides on something that’s a good decision

This is why IMO, bo4 is a top tier comp cod even at 5v5, weapon balance was insane
What I struggle to understand is blops 2 was one of the better comp games we had, maps aside everything was allowed and it was fucking great to watch. Clay used a crossbow on a van and it was entertaining as hell, no one lost their shjt and cried about it. Granted bans came in later to the game but majority of things were allowed, including streaks

If the pros are so pissed about the rival we should switch it out for the ram its good at close to medium but not so good at long, the bp50 should be in the game as like the flex type gun it behaves like and the mcw's headshot multi should be round about 1.15 or 1.2 and there we go 3 gun meta
We have pros who unironically think their vote should count more than others and pros who think you can just get rid of voting rules when it suits, its impressive they get anything done tbh. Pros should have a final vote on 5 people from the community they think would be a good representative, top 5 most voted become a commission you may live and die by the sword but you'll never have an issue where teams are voting for their own benefit. I truely do think whats good to watch should be considered and it cant be while pros are in charge, I understand it's a competitive league and taking the control out of the players hands seems wild but it doesn't exist without a broadcast and sports have done it long ago for the betterment of the sport.
I just don’t get the part where abezy said he would run an ar more if the barrel got ga’d. Majority of the hp maps now would be sub maps and subs are not supposed to cross map people like ars. So, we’re gonna get mad when they can’t do that anymore? They’re pro players, no barrel makes it more of a skill gap, especially with the ar nerfs and having less attachment crutches.

Ram-7 should be in it’s like ACR and the Tar-21 in Mw2 the Tar was stronger than the ACR but the ACR like the MCW had zero recoil you could use either in comp though this one gun stuff is incredibly boring

it should be promod rules, 1 sniper, 2 ARS and 1 SMG or 1 sniper, 2 SMGS and 1 AR. No attachments other than sights. No Flak jacket or TacMask so utility actually means something and makes trophies actually useful, it makes the game more high stakes imo. (for SnD) remove the sniper for respawn and run 2 ARs 2 SMGs if you want, obviously.

I fear Abezy might be braindead. How would the meta shift away from subs due to the barrel change? With the new maps being Sub heavy the barrel being gone wouldn’t matter. You’d still be running 3 subs on Rio. 2/3 on Vista and on 6 Star. Invasions out and that was one of the 3/4 AR culprits
