I run smaller 2S packs in my TRX4 w your CM v3 and an older Revolver and have had no complaints. I have a small 3S pack I have used in the past when I needed more umph but I ended up gearing down and going w a strong OD/UD setup so the 2s has done me well. I should learn more and try more but I end up just driving the rig and forgetting Im doing tests :D
Been running a 2500 KV Revolver in my VRD on 3s with a V3 Crawlmaster Mini. I’m really liking this combo. I run a 2040KV Revolver in my Capra with a V2 Crawlmaster on 4s and I love that set up as well. Great work!
I just got the 2040kv snubnose and the crawlmaster v3 and I seen some people telling me they had trouble with coggy-ness at slow crawl. Have you noticed this at all?
Lower Kv = high Kt and when I was testing my HV ESC back in the good old days I had a Neu 1515 2y and I was using 8S geared to around 40MPH. It out performed anything I tried on 6S and 4S also geared for 40MPH. Longer run times was also great with 8S and most of my testing was done with 2200mAh capacity cells. I also looked at a datasheet from a company that makes axial flux motors and it offers 3 voltage ratings which are 115V, 300V and 500V. The 115V unit produces 0.20 Nm of torque for each Amp, the 300V unit produces 0.54 Nm of torque for each Amp and the 500V unit produces 0.83 Nm of torque for each Amp. I like lower Kv with higher voltage and from my days of testing my ESC in the middle of summer I never used a fan on the ESC or the motor.
As long as we are optimizing for the mosfet and vehicle, there is a point where higher voltage doesn't get us anything. But if the esc has unused voltage overhead, higher voltage and lower kv does typically lower heat. Example, a 20mph ebike on 36v really won't benefit from going to 72v on half the kv. Not enough power needed! In the case of crawlers, higher voltage packs almost always raise the center of gravity. It's the one reason I haven't pushed 6s. Don't need the power, don't need the taller packs.
I find volume limited situations quite interesting. Such as onewheels where we have to trade amp hours for voltage. Then it becomes an arbitrage of lowest iR for the entire chain of components!
@@HolmesHobbies I've seen some very small 6S lipos and there are even small li-ion cylindrical cells that might be able to do the job since crawlers won't draw that many amps as you stated before. Give it a try with a very low Kv motor that is geared like a 3S or 4S to see the heat difference. You should see some lipos @Hwy49RC built, I thought she had a single pack that was bent, but I was surprised.
Well...I just switched from the castle 1415 in my crawler ryft and put in a puller pro 2100 KV Running a castle mamba x ESC... The difference is nastronouncle it's like a totally different rig! It crawls epic! With its 2 speed transmission full size shift servo. Not only that the throttle response is... 😮 HH ❤
I have an Amazon 2low transmission and Capra axles and I just ordered the crawlmaster mini v3 and the snubnose 2040kv revolver. I’ve heard a few people saying they had trouble with cogging when slow crawling with higher kv motors. Curious if I’ll have that issue or if I’ll be okay? Please reach out and let me know! Anyone I’m open to any and all suggestions/advice.
So I run a lot of the smaller scale stuff I got this motor that is like my favorite it's a 4100 bam with a 1011 tooth pinion insane torque insane strength and insane will speed a lot of people are like you're crazy take all those little pancakes Motors and tell me you can make the same amount of work no you cannot the magnets are not near as long nearest heavy I just love that motor you know but it does run warm
When using lower kv depending on how you gear, your going to use more voltage to achieve the same wheel speed. I think that's the noticeable difference.

Bonus Track > 👍
😃🤸♂️👍💯
"I don't know where that line is, but I'm gonna find it." lol. Yes
The problem is that it will always depend on the battery, mosfet die, and number of mosfets 😆
Maaan, love this kind of videos 🤩 Thanks
Glad you like them!
Ive put a build on hold to keep money on hand for this new motor/esc an servo drop. Can u say if it will be weeks or months for this drop ???
Bro?!... I need a full album!!!
Cool tie dye shirt! Do you dye your own shirts?

Well, I think I'm more confused now after watching the video lol.
Volt up, gear down. It could have just been another one of those vids, lol
@@HolmesHobbies I was just joking around and adding a comment.
A RC chassis dyno is something I'm desiring
He already did a video on the MiniPro Dyno. I still want one and have no need lol :D
Thats a new Holmes shirt? I dig it...music sounds like Nickelback ....lol
Love these videos packed full of data⚡❤⚙🙌💯

These videos are so awesome! 🤣 Wonder when we will see that screwdriver again ?

Witch brushless motor do you recommend, out of what you sell, for a put it in and beat on it, for a heavy tenth scale
TRX4?
How heavy...
@@HolmesHobbies 10 12 pound's
@@HolmesHobbies it's an all aluminum redact Everest 10 with a steel RR10 cage
I'd pay for that track. Awesome!
glad you are enjoying the songs...
Interesting
What about your 1000 and 1400kv snub nose revolver on 6s or possibly 8s ?
And are u gonna do any direct power 6s servos?
??
I like Puller Pro 4100 Kv and i like buy one Puller Pro 6000 kV all Bateries 3S ??? Is Possible ???

I love 2700kv on 4s. Geared down of course 😈
I like cooking my trucks like some good ribs. Low and slow.
Bad ass outro👍🤠👍

Yo, science!
