We are here again ! Love the content but to live without electricity mmm bit harder maybe ok for roman and view was beautiful. May this new year 2022 bring you happiness, peace and prosperity.
Beautifully shot! Your style and the in-depth colors, etc always make me feel as close to actually being there as film can achieve. Which is great because this place has been on the list for awhile! FPV was an awesome addition, that raft hotel is something else. I love how it's been kept so natural, blends right in. I'm a sucker for historical railroads, I love how you can walk on it too!
Really enjoyed that Daz, feel like I've just had a mini holiday away. Great to see you're still managing to travel in these crazy times. Enjoy the next adventure.
Wow, there can't be much more exciting ways to experience the River Kwai than like that!! That must be so amazing to ride along it like that and watch the world go buy, and even pass an elephant! And that looks like a pretty awesome hotel to stay at too, definitely a unique experience, I would have loves it myself!
Hi we we sorted the transport ourselves, not sure if the hotel can arrange. The boat to the dock is free and there was a guy that took us to the main road where we caught the public bus which comes every hour. The last boat back is 6pm I think so don’t miss that or they charge you for the boat, over 1000 baht. Enjoy the trip!
@@DarrenHale ok so you took the ferry back to the pier then on the main road took a bus? Is there a bus number? I was under the impression that I would have to take a bus from the station in town
@@MJ-ej5ok yes ferry back to the pier and then there was a guy with transport to the main road. Can’t remember a bus number, don’t recall seeing one. Think there is only one bus that goes along that route so you can’t go wrong really.
nice video my friend from UK. Can you do the jumping in the river bit at any time of day or is there specific time due to safety? Wanna stay there in November but probably not checking in until late afternoon and don't want to miss the swim. As the resort is only accessible by boat are there specific times for the boat transfer? thanks in advance
Hi Peter, thanks! You can jump in the river at any time, totally unsupervised! The boat runs until 6pm and if you’re a guest it’s free. After 6pm they will charge you 1000 baht so advisable to not miss the last one! Have a great trip, lovely place!
@@DarrenHale Your vlog inspired us to go there, thanks so much. We stayed in early November, my 19 year old son and myself. Obviously he was jumping in non-stop, me three times. The whole experience of this magical place was amazing; staff, scenery, food, elephant & village. Should be on everyone's to do list when in Kanchanaburi.
@@petercross6960 Hi Peter, thanks for the update on your trip! Really makes it worthwhile putting these vids together when you get comments like this! Glad you got to share the whole experience with your son, definitely one of my favorite trips to date! All the best for the new year!
What time of the year did you visit and was the heat unbearably hot? I will be there is Aug and debating between this and their sister hotel (room not on river). Thanks
Think it was around November time and the weather was great! Little bit cool in the morning until the sun hit the valley but no complaints. Really enjoyed it there, nice experience!
Would you be happy to stay here with no electricity, hot water etc?
I'd love to! At least for a few days. Were you able to get any hotspot or phone service there at all?

Did you jump in the river too? :D
Yeah for sure man, several times! Was great fun as long as you managed to grab the rope at the end to get out! 😂
