Went back to this video to get up the nerve to go up and down the curbs at the house. Ours are sloped instead of sidewalk edged, but still same concept. It was much easier than expected and this helped me have the motivation to try. One more thing to check off my euc learning list. Keep putting out great videos.

I ride a non suspension EUC. An EXN HS. Is it better to be locked in with my power pad side pads.
Sometimes when I go over bumps getting a little air seems like the wheel spins. Is that normal.
    Any advice and help please.

It's really tricky to keep the wheel from spinning in midair, the slightest lean forward or back will do it. Remember, these wheels are taking measurements hundreds of times a second. But it's nothing to worry about. That being said, it's a good idea to try to be positioned as perfectly neutral as possible when you're hitting air. The wheel doesn't know when it's on the ground, it just responds to angles. So if you lean too far forward (or back), there is no resistance for the tire, so it just keeps spinning faster in the direction it needs to go in order to level out.
As for the non-suspension thing, it doesn't matter, although you should definitely preload (springboard) before hitting a curb, since your legs act as the suspension. This will also prevent you from denting your rim.
