I have the Alien Rides gloves and they're great for cold weather. Very waterproof. They get super hot during the summer though. And they lack a wrist guard. And the touchscreen fingertips aren't very reliable. I need to take the gloves off the use my phone easily. So Instead I use the e Rides P1 gloves. They have a palm slider, a wrist guard, and are great for summer riding. The erides glove is the perfect glove for EUC riding. AND the touch screen finger tips work flawlessly. It's just not waterproof, so I switch to the AR gloves if it's raining.

Quality looks solid, but forearm protection looks like it could be better. $400 for two though... eesh. A pair of $90 Flexmeters are less than 25% of the price. $65 for a pair on craft and ride with 10% off code right now. I'd say they're about on par with safety and with ease of getting on and off. Biggest detriment to the Flexmeters is bulkiness at the palm due to the large sliders, and the Nylon can tear fairly easily. Also may be a bit difficult to put on for a person with big hands who's wearing gloves because of the Nylon catching. Crashed in mine twice, protected my wrists and palms both times. First fall had me falling awkwardly on the back of my wrist, and while my wrist was a bit sore, it was minor versus what could have happened. I think the Flexmeters could be improved with flatter palm sliders, another strap near the hands to cinch that area down a bit more, and either a replacement for the Nylon, making it slightly looser, or removing it entirely. I do hope more companies like e-rides produce gloves with integrated sliders and top and bottom wrist braces. The only thing stopping me from buying a pair is that bright red pinky leather.

I don't think mobius braces are the one I use pod k8 and leatt dual axis and I'm currently using standard sliders fully protected and effortless to put on...

Cool design but I don't think it will work during high speed crash! I thick the Flexmeter wrist guards are better. Furthermore, $220 each! $440 for a pair is crazy expensive! Flexmeter is only $89 a pair!

They look cumbersome to me tbh. After getting run over by a car, I've now got a titanium reinforced wrist and upper arm, though I wouldn't recommend going that route either! 😅 I have gone back to wearing proper wrist guards, and I have some special riding gloves for winter, where I live we have have quite mild winters. My wrist guards are from Decathlon, after comparing them to some more pricey ones some friends have, I really don't see much of a difference. They're easy to put on and take off, and they definitely work after having tested them a few times already.

The major downside with this setup is that you can’t wear your Apple Watch to control your music/navigate/darknessbot etc.

As soon as you said: "You don't feel like it's digging in to your skin" That left hand cable just digs in right in your skin, and that tension mark will definitely show up later on your skin.

Crazy how you're such a perfectionist when it comes to getting your suspension on point, which I'm sure you don't use as much as you do your phone... So it's quite puzzling how you're OK with a screen protector that isn't fully adhered to your phone screen. 🤯

I'm a very very very new rider, just got my V8s last week (unfortunately wiped-out second day of learning and banged my elbow up on a fence post so out of commission for a couple weeks, didn't have my elbow pads on). But, what is recommended for learning? I left it at what it was out the box, I think it is set to hard and -1 peddle tilt. Any advice is helpful when I hopefully get back on this weekend or maybe, I'll wait until next week. Still amazed by you guys flying like that. I was going probably 8 miles per hour in a grass field, and I was wobbling and everything, can't imagine, 30 and 40 and more mph. Any way safe riding!

Are you choosing hand/palm protection over wrist protection, or are you also going to wear wrist guards with these gloves as well?

Why did you cut the tire before removing it from the rim?

I'm about to order the E-Rides pedals for my ET Max for the same reason. I like the stock pedals and I don't want to replace them, but one of the screws stripped out with almost no effort applied. Really disappointing on a $4k vehicle. P.S. Around 00:02:45 you said one of the screws is reverse-threaded. You're just looking at it from the back side. There are no reverse threads.

What about foot placement ? Ans do you squeeze the wheel ?

pedal dihedral angle is really important. I am a new rider and picked up a begode falcon. after a few sessions of learning, I started getting pretty bad knee pain on my main leg used for mounting/dismounting the wheel. When I started practicing mounting/dismounting with my off-leg, I developed the same pain on that side as well. While I can now comfortably mount and dismount the wheel from either leg, I saw something online saying how a too aggressive dihedral angle can cause strain on the joints and knee especially. with the falcon, there's a little plate that can be adjusted to change the dihedral angle. unfortunately, I found it was already at its lowest setting. However, the plate can be completely removed as well which will lower the pedals a few degrees more towards flatness. after I did that, the knee pain I was experiencing was greatly reduced. While I could only go out practicing for around 30 minutes before getting quite a lot of knee pain, I went out practicing for close to two hours after removing that plate and making the pedals flatter.

I’m using the power knobs but feel weird being that tied to the wheel. I am afraid of breaking my knee if I had a crash. No accidents in six months knock on wood.😂

I got my first wheel in October 2023....learned so much since then but I still have t taken it over 30mph. My fear threshold redlines after 30. Anyone have tips on getting up to 40 or 50?
