Thanks a bunch! Exact same as my 2010 T&C Touring. Note For Others, this solves problem of dash display showing 130F (or some other crazy temp) by replacing the AAT "AMBIENT AIR TEMPERATURE SENSOR", located behind front grill/bumper of vehicle. This is NOT for the "Air Intake Charge Temperature Sensor" also refer as "Intake Air Temperature sensor" which is located on the engine's intake (related to engine performance problems).
My '06 Grand Caravan was reading -40°, so I figured it was a missing or broken sensor. But where to look? RUclips, of course! Turns out it was simply a broken wire & a fifteen-minute fix. Thanks!
I watched 2 or 3 other videos that didn't answer the question. Thanks for the pointer. I think mine may have just become unplugged, if I'm lucky. Reads -40°F and AC doesn't cool unless I'm driving at some speed with the fan turned up. Temporary relief was also had by turning the selector to the defrost (windshield) position and back to main vents. Thanks! [I went out and checked and the sensor had been hanging down and was broke. Ordered a new one. Relief is on the way!]
Thank you so much for this video! I have a 2005 but it's roughly the same. Van's been reading either 130 or -40 and -40 has been more common. Since my air condoning is based on this... It's refused to kick in an cold air.
This same thing just happened to me. Got in my van after work and ran the AC to cool it down for a minute before I jumped in while I spoke with a friend. Was 108f in Phoenix today and of course my AC decided to take a crap. The inside temp reading was -40f which was 150 degrees out of wack. Also had a check engine light but my reader was at home. Drove an hour home in traffic and can't cool down when the air coming in off the pavement is well over ambiant. Chugged 2 beers when I got home and to make a long story short, I found your video and I will check the sensor in the morning. Did you happen to test it out with a meter first or did you just swap it out? Just curious on the normal resistance reading. Thanks for posting your video!
Thanks for this! I've got a 2010 that my teenager wrecked and that sensor is just hanging so I'll zip tie it to the plastic grill before I put the bumper facia on it (assuming it reads correctly still).
Edward Hughes Jr. I found the sensor on Amazon. To replace it just look in the front under the bumper. It shows in the video. Unplug the old one and plug in the new one.
Edward Hughes Jr. No I didn't have to. It was just a little to the right hand side off the center of the bumper a little hidden. I believe it does show in the video where I found it. If your is a little newer than 2008 might have changed the location, otherwise should be the same.
Omg thank you so much for this. I have been trying to figure this out for days and finally found your video. You are awesome ❤

Had the same problem. Now I know how to find it. Thank you so much!
No problem. Glad it helped.
Thanks for putting this video up.

This is where it is on the 2012 Volkswagen Routan, which is a rebadged Grand Caravan or Town and Country. Thanks!
Didn't see it in the Chilton book either. Thank you.
Thanks it will save someone some time and money, good looking up.
I replaced it but still reading wrong. How did you reset the codes?
Just a code reader that you can buy at any auto parts store or Amazon.
thank you. I accidentally disconnected it on a Caravan and P0073 came up for it. didn't know why lol
Is it the same location for a 2010 GC?
I still can't find mine on a 2002 Chrysler Concorde.
Thank you!
I have the same problem, how do.i change it?
Edward Hughes Jr. I found the sensor on Amazon. To replace it just look in the front under the bumper. It shows in the video. Unplug the old one and plug in the new one.
Adventures did you have to remove the plastic piece behind the bumper to get to it? I got the part from AutoZone today.

Are you located in Savannah Georgia
Pretty sure it's located where the mass airflow sensor is basically your air filter connection
Not the same thing. If you watch the whole video I explain...
Video would be great if you would say where it’s at within the first damn minute
thanks for the info ..
I need to do this on my '99 Grand Voyager. My overhead display reads 'OC', which means open circuit.
Thank you...
Video would’ve been way better if you actually showed how to change the piece 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️🤦🏽♂️
I think I have two
