I think punter needs to be a priority it’s actually really terrible going 3 and out at the 20 and then doing a 30 yard punt and they are already at their half of the field.

The pass rush in this game is unreal. I was playing as Alabama and my o-line was getting blown up by Bowling Green. Hopefully they can reduce the pass rush a bit because it's like playing against the 1985 bears every game just about.
Personally I would’ve gone for that 4th and 8 when you were down 35-21. Defense was getting destroyed, and a 52 yard field goal is anything but automatic.
Great commentary as usual! I've been playing and enjoying this game. However sliders for qb accuracy on the CPU side must be adjusted down. The pass at 12:13 was thrown what looked like a Heisman QB. I've noticed when the CPU is down, especially in the 4th qtr, they can pull off magic moves such as a one handed catches in double coverage. I played a UNT Dynasty and had a rivalry game against Texas Tech. I was ahead 35 to 14 in the 4th. Tech came back and tied the game at 42 - 42 due to some impressive WR moves that they never did all game. I ended up getting the football last and ran the clock down and kicked a FG to win, but felt like I had to scam the CPU into using all their timeouts (so they couldn't ice my kicker). I do appreciate a challenge but I feel every game I play on EA College Football 25 comes down to the wire and is made that way on purpose.
Maybe not this season but the next season recruit quantity. Get lower star players but like get a bunch. In my UB rebuild my 1st year I recruited 5 tackles. Low stars. But 3 years down the line 3 of them were starting OLineman for me. Just get a quantity of players you can redshirt or sit and develop. I used them as roster spots more than using them but surprisingly most of them developed pretty well.
If Cane can change his ways and finally decide O-line is important after all these years, then there might be hope yet for Chris Grier to do the same 😊
Also if I may add, with how many teams we have this time around I would highly advise if you already haven’t to change your defensive scheme for each team. If you noticed unlike madden ncaa football doesn’t have team specific defenses. So you have to switch up schemes to throw your opponents off. The opposing teams do a really good job at reading schemes and plays and they can and will take advantage of such reads if given time.
i use buffalo as theyre the closest school to me...sperling and speed options carried me to 2 mac championships before he left for the NFL. it took me 6 seasons to win the natty
Might be a good idea to stop scouting players, grab 2/3 star prospects and just pitch to them. You need bodies and using 20-30 hours on scouting per prospect could be used to start actually recruiting and getting your foot in the door Another thing to remember is that if you are playing bad some players might leave in the teansfer portal so you could be looking at way more then just the seniors leaving
You gotta start little by little in recruiting and also schedule as many potential game victories as much as possible. I would look to Colorado from the 1980s and Kansas State from the 1990s as examples given the situation you are in. Take care and I look forward to many more videos yet to come.

If we get the team that nearly bested Missouri (and that first half team that kept pace with Toledo) i think they're gonna get close to the 4 wins they'd need actually...

I’m only half way through the video but so far I don’t really get the tittle, this team is holding up well and the defense is showing out. I’m sure the second half will be just as close!
this recruiting class is pretty much dead but for next year you need to spend week 0 scouting like 15 players that u have dealbreakers and a pipeline for then week 1 you do send the house for the first like 4 weeks on your top 8 build up a lead and know their priorities, then hard sell even if you only have 1 or 2 of their priorities you can hard sell and get big points and you have to do early visits to win battles quickly. Once you have a good lead and a few commits you can expand the class to under-recruited players that have you as one of their top schools.
Can you try and utilize the pre-snap audibles? Maybe you can start slow with one thing and add to it, as if your QB/Green Dot is learning as the season progresses There’s just too much available pre snap to help you and make it more realistic for the offense and defense
Does it really matter fully scouting 3 stars for this team? Yes they may be busts, but the loss of stats won't make up for the burned recruiting hours used to find that out.
With a team like this the only priority should be to have a weaker schedule to avoid injuries and also to give you time to recruit. As long as you stay committed to what you need for positions instead of just adding players for the sake of what you want you should be able to recruit some real talent. Never start a season knowing you’re weaker than the teams in your conference nor rivals, that will really be a deal breaker for recruits and players alike. Not to mention you have to know what your players and recruits want. To have a stout team it requires a stout coaching team as well.
