I would have pulsed the cereal in the blender or food processor a few times, to get more of a crumbly/powdery breading for the coating.
@@dianasmothers6258 or at least just put them in a bag and whack at them with rolling pin or roll a heavy object across them. Also refreeze the balls once coated before frying so that the cornflakes fully adhere to the ice cream.

When i made fried ice cream i didnt use any egg whites or anything all i did was get the ice cream balls roll them in cinnamon and then roll them in very crushed corn flakes and fried it for about 20 seconds then threw it on a fried tortilla throw some honey on it and it was absolutely delicious
