Excellent video. a real hunt thank you so very much for posting it real! It is fantastic that you had the opportunity to go. Congratulations on that for sure. Little more practice next time you get one. Best of luck to and hunt safe
Greetings from Newfoundland. Thanks for posting your video. Great opportunity to watch and hunt such an amazing animal. To bad about the missed shots, maybe next time. Darcy is my nephew and he is a pretty good hunter and outfitter. Darcy offers hunts for several other spices as well and wolf hunting is a new species for him, so it will get even better quickly I'm sure. Looking forward to any follow-up hunting videos you may make make with him.
I’ve watched a lot of your videos, I think you’re a good hunter and I enjoy watching! As an Albertan I can honestly say I really enjoy your content. Sorry for your unfortunate luck on this hunt, I can’t necessarily say I agree with the decision to shoot such a long distance without being absolutely confident about the shot but that’s just my opinion. Doesn’t mean much because it’s not my hunt. Ya live and ya learn. Thanks for being real and showing those misses. That’s hunting, I have nothing but respect for that. I think a lot of RUclips videos nowadays make hunting look like it’s something that it’s not. Hunting is hard and a lot of the time it just doesn’t work out. Better luck next time my friend!
Great Hunt Dmytro. most wouldnt have the balls to post the footage of the missed shots and that speaks to your character keep up the great content as always!
Ouch, that's a heartbreaker! You did a good job of keeping the camera on the animals while also trying to get ready for a shot. Good luck in the future!
Great hunt and footage. Wolf are the hardest animal hunt I think bar none. The bait's are out there because it's not often you can get them closer then 250-300 yards. I got my first wolf last year it was a black female, a pack came out as I was on a hill side watching a cow moose from about 350 yrds here in BC. there was 14 wolves in the pack. I took mine at about 315 yrds, but like you said you need to practice at that and I do. 350 is as far as I will shoot. Every hunt is special, take the memories from this hunt and what you learned and give it a go again. Kinda cool you put this out today as I picked up my wolf hide from the tanner today. Awesome channel keep at it.
@@Rustytinn all very good points. For a lot of people those shots I had aren’t much of an issue. And the point you make on the bait being far definitely helps those wolves feel comfortable. Nothing wrong at all with the setup. Darcy has that spot set up perfectly.
@@djboutdoors6473 We set up on a small lake/pond with an old trap cabin on it and have the bait at 275 yards. our blind is tucked in the bush up on a bit of a hill looking down on the pond and the bait. If the wolves see or hear you they bolt very smart animal. If you start trying to set up yourself drill some holes in the lake/pond and cover the bait with water to freeze it onto the pond so they cant walk off with parts like that one wolf did.

Top notch hunter I see by videos it appears you kill from 50 to 150 yds Im a open praire hunter in SD. Average shot 300 yds I sure hope you go back and get on the horse this winter.
